Checking on order with a conformation #

I have an order that was scheduled to be delivered on the 9th according to the USPS track and confirm. It's not here yet and I've e-mailed the vendor. Should I let them check into it with the post office, or should I try contacting the correct dept. in the post office and try to find out what's going on. All the track and confirm shows is that the package passed thru the sort facility from where it was mailed from on the 7th. I'll wait till Monday the 13th before I really start to get concernd,but just wondering who should do what here.

If it hasn't been updated to "Out for delivery" tomorrow, then you could email the company and find out what the deal is. Generally once a package has been sent, it's out of the vendors hands and you're at the mercy of the USPS.

Sometimes things just get stuck somewhere in the deep abyss we call the postal service. It sounds like your stuff fell victim to it this time. Give it a few more days and it'll probably show up.

I have noticed that when it clears the original shipping PO, then there don't seem to be any updates to the tracking site until it reaches the destination PO. Many times i have noticed that the site isn't updated until after i have received my order. then there is a pretty good track of where it has been. Just not where it is at.

There are times its status doesn't get changed until after it's arrived. If it doesn't arrive Monday, call the Post Office.

Delivery Confirmation is not tracking. all DC has to do is confirm that the package was delivered. the only way to get true tracking through the USPS is to go with Express Mail.

At this point don't bother the vendor. He did his part. If no delivery or updates by Tuesday morning around 10 am call the PO. Give em time. Contrary to popular opinion the USPS does make mistakes now and then. After all they are human too....at least most of them. MIB2
