Anyone try electrical tape or similar on the switch/base where the bottom of the battery will sit and contact the mod? If you have does the electrical tape stay in place? I was thinking to clean that area with rubbing alcohol (de-greasing) then using electrical tape so I can use 18650 Panasonic CGR batteries in the chi you and King mod. Thoughts or ideas on this?

I used a circular rubber grommet ($2 plumbing washer kit at walmart) and it's working great. I'll up a pic for you later after I get off work.

I ended up using that small rubber one in the top right. They don't list this kit online but I stopped by two Walmarts on the way home last night and they had these kits for a few bucks a piece.

I'm sure the rest of the washers/grommets will come in handy someday. (Hopefully soon if my Fasttech orders get here)

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply and idea Nate. You mention Fasttech. I still have 4 packages that left Fasttech on 9/12 and they are still sitting at Hong Kong Post. One of the packages is a Chi You clone. I was also thinking about using thicker electrical tape. I have a King mod I am going to try this on, same kind of switch setup as a Chi You and should work fine.

Dang.. I have 2 'shipped' on 9/4 (brass m16 and ss chi you). I actually bit the bullet and bought the brass chi you that I have now for $60 at akavapers cause I couldn't wait -_- I hope they get this mess sorted out soon. I have a few other orders unshipped with a bunch of clone atties lol.

Good luck to us!

Has anyone had trouble with their 510 threading? What kind of solutions would you suggest for fixing this?

The 510 connector on my SS (etched) Chi You from FT is a little loose, but I always screw my atties down until they just touch the head, and then tighten up the pin from underneath. No problems with RSST, AGA-T2, Oddys, Ithakas, RDAs or even Protanks IIs. I have a couple of other MODS that are about the same that I've used for up to a year, and they all held up fine. Just have to be a little careful and not over-tighten them.

I have a Brass version coming from FT (shipped on the 13th - still sitting in the Hong Kong Post). Hopefully that one will be a little tighter ....brass is a little less forgiving than Stainless.

Once there is enough feedback or confirmation that the brass Chi You parts are interchangeable with the SS I will be in on one also. Unfortunately shipping time from Hong Kong currently is really bad. I am in California and usually it takes 5 days from the time Fasttech ships, now who knows. If I want a clone mod faster I will buy from US. Twice the price but takes 3 days or so and will be Hcigar (or best quality available guaranteed).

FT clones are HCigar (27$ and 27.77$ models)
They try to put you away from these for you to buy local at double the price.

At FT prices if the products are Hcigar that would mean FT is selling the products at around wholesale (from what I have seen) + FT supplies USPS First Class at no charge. Maybe FT is buying a real high quantity and making a very small margin. I am waiting on 3 mods and two drippers that look like Hcigar, when I get everything I will know if Hcigar made them. Here is hoping for the best!

Does anyone know if the ss and brass hcigar tubes on Fasttech are interchangeable?

I had asked the same question.???????

Doesnt really matter to me now I ordered a SS and a brass from Bucky last nite. Shipped today, should be able to play with them in a few days.

I will post up some pics as soon as I figure out how I want to interchange them(if I can).
