I am going to order a Brass and a SS. From FT.
Are you able to interchange the parts from one to the other???

Does anyone know if the ss and brass hcigar tubes on fasttech are interchangeable?
I don't think there is an easy answer for you. FT has changed suppliers at least once already on this one. Even if I had ordered them both and they interchanged, it doesn't mean you'll get the same ones. Since they don't specify which manufacturer's mod you are getting, it's a crap shoot.

That is the main reason I ordered from Bucky. Both of his models are from Hcigar.

I vape kicked2 Mech mods with boge cartos in a tank exclusively these days. I have AVPs but mechs are much prettier IMO. I was told in another thread the Chi You clone has a small center pin that blocks the center airflow hole in a boge carto. This would be a deal breaker for me. I'd like a second opinion on this fact before I scratch this mod off my wish list permanently. Could someone with an hcigar Chi check this for me? I'd also like to know if a kick2+18530 works in 18500 mode. This would be a huge help.

Can't comment on the kick2, I run mine with a Sigelei kick clone. I don't know why Boge cartos would be special. I get Smoks if I order them online, or whatever by B&M has in stock when I forget. If they are like all the other cartos out there, then they will work fine. I'm running my carto tank on it and it works great. I adjusted the pin down to flush mount the tank, so all my air is coming via the head and I get plenty of airflow.

The mouth of the air hole on a boge cargo is much larger than a smoktech, then it tapers down a bit. Apparently the small center pin on a Chi You is just small enough to sit inside this large opening on a boge, blocking the airflow. This is what ive been told twice and its the only thing keeping me from buying a Chi. I really want someone else with a Chi and a boge to confirm.

Honestly silver pins are overrated. You won't really notice a difference in performance, especially if you're running subhoms.
And as I said from everything I gathered on the Internet (and I've read and watched tons of reviews), they ARE HCigar at FT. They don't say which they are on the site because they are selling them below or at wholesale prices, and the manufacturers don't agree with that.
That's why for instance, Innokin can just say "fake", when they see their product at such low prices.

Were did you buy the chi clones and are all the nimbus clones? Inc the one with etching?

Edit is the locking ring on the king mod aluminium? And is the air control nice and snug?

I bought all the clone mods and nimbus tamks locally here in my country Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The nimbus with engraving is the most expensive among the clones...As for the King mod...all the parts are made of SS, the contact pins are silver plated/coated, really love the lock ring because it is reverse threaded not like chi you..the air control is nice and snug...well like i said before the built quality of the King mod clone is superior.

Okay - I have the SS/Silver hcigar one from FT. I like it. Looks great. Hits great. Stands up straight and doesn't auto-fire. But...the bottom button was driving me crazy. Just a bit of a wiggle, but I tend to hit these off-center and it made for a strange feeling. It always fired, so the problem was definitely all tactile. I tried several different springs, but the original was still the best. Just not perfect.

I decided to try using magnets. Found a post on another site from someone who had done this, but they hadn't posted where they got the magnets from. But they did post the size that was needed so I went off on my own and found some.

I have a completely new mod. I love it now! It was super easy (this hasn't been posted in here yet, has it? Can't remember if I read this whole thread. I think I did...but anyway....)

So I just took apart the switch. Tossed the spring. Put two magnets on the bottom post and one magnet, reversed of course, in the top post well. It stands up great. Still has a short throw and it doesn't seem to take anymore pressure to fire. But the button does stay straight even if I hit it off-angle.

The magnets I used: 3/8 inch (9.52mm) OD x 1/4 inch (6.35mm) ID x 0.039 inch (1mm) thick Ring Magnet.

Now - I will tell you who I ordered from, but I'd recommend finding it elsewhere if you can. Five reasons:
1) They are $0.70 each. That's not entirely terrible, but....
2) You must order 10. Okay, so it's now a $7 mod. Not horrible, but...
3) The only shipping option is $6.60!! Holy Mackerel. Now the mod is half the cost of the...umm...mod. To top it off....
4) That $6.60 shipping doesn't get priority or tracking. They just wrap it up and drop it in an envelope. And then....
5) They only sent me 9. I didn't contact them about this because it isn't worth the time out of my day to do so. But it is just rude...after bending me over for $14 for a few simple ring magnets, someone could have at least double checked the order. Oh well.

If you can't find them elsewhere, I ordered from Super Magnet Man. I refuse to link to him. But he's out there. Enjoy.

I got a package from Bucky's today in the mail.
Ordered Friday, arrived on Tuesday. Thats pretty quick!

One SS, and one Brass.

First thought....Did these come with batteries in them??
The weight and heft revile my Poldiac.( Unfortunately the fit and finish do not )
Not to say that for the price these CYC are a bargin.
I wish I was able to use the Kick-ring at the top of the tube, but it was a no go.
ALL of the parts swapped out with one another. Even the locking ring and the air control ring.

The locking ring is an issue IMO. When you screw it towards the body it gets stuck. Then you end up unscrewing the whole bottom switch housing. Why didnt they reverse thread it??? Dah!!!
I went out on a limb and added a couple of drops of blue lock-tight (medium) to the switch housing/tube. I will let it set for a day or two, then see what it takes to unscrew that joint.

Silver plated pins, top and bottom, all the seams were flush. thread were good.

The other issue has been mentioned before. No insulator for the battery to sit on in the housing switch. No biggie for me my batterries are fully wrapped at the base.

The switch works great right out of the box. Short smooth throw. The spring tension is spot on. I personally wouldnt set it down with out using the lock ring. Would it fire if you did? Maybe.... Maybe not.. Why take the risk?? It take less than 5 seconds to engage the locking ring. A good habit to get into.

I will use one in the 18650 mode. And the other in the 18500 mode.
They both hit very well. I pt Nolox on all threads, just cause.

Here they are

jafmf95 thanks for sharing your experience with magnets instead of the spring. I have magnets on order from coops for a Chi You, King and Nemesis mod. Now I am looking forward to trying the magnets when they get here!
I hope they work as well for you as for me. I love how this feels now.

....
I wish I was able to use the Kick-ring at the top of the tube, but it was a no go.
....
So was your issue getting the kick to make contact? I had that issue. The tubes seem be tighter at the bottom than the top. So I flipped them upside down. Works like a champ. But it doesn't do much for looks!! :vapor:
