I've put a couple mls in it and wiggled and blew an everything I can think of. I can see no breaks in the seal or nicks in the tank or grommet. Still floods and leaks out the bottom. I've got another tank with a punched carto in it. I'm going to set this one aside and try the other one.

One hour later: I got two complete tanks and punched cartos with my parksvaping order. I just filled the other tank with a new carto and it's working like it's supposed to. I don't have another stainless steel carto to punch and, all I have is lots of black resurrectors. My next ccv order, I'll get some stainless steel resurrectors and punch them and try a new one on the first tank.

How do you do that???

I'm haviing Liquinator issues with flooding and leaking, so I went ahead and put in an order for a Chibi. I've been so frustrated with the gurgling having to fiddle with the darn thing. I've read good reviews about this tank- so keeping fingers crossed, I hope it's as good as folks say.

I think the first thing to try, is to fill the tank by prying the grommet up at the threaded end of the carto to fill, that way there is an easy way for the air to escape through the punched hole when you press the grommet back in

Hey charady2- I'm new too to this tank thing. As far as I know, you use the special cartos with your Chibi- the ones that are either punched or slotted.

I just ordered one, as well as a J-tank. Had Liquinator problems, although they're going to fix mine for me. I have another Liquinator (smaller one than the Phat- a 3ml).

...the cartomizer(carto) has an atomizer built into it...with a Joye 510(slimline, ciggy sized)unit you should not use any low resistance(LR) or dual coil gear...you need to stick with cartos with a resistance in the 2.5ohm or above rating...with cartos in the 2.5ohm or above you could use a tank.............
madjack:2cool:
p.s. as mollie said, these cartos have to have a hole or slot in the side to allow your juice in............mj

Can you suggest a battery that would work (and won't break the bank lol!) Hubby wants to do a tank unit after looking around on here now. I just don't want to blow anything up. I know you get what you pay for, but price is definitely a big factor in what I get, especially with kids to buy christmas presents for still. Thanks everyone for answers btw :)

You can buy them prepunched or punch them yourself (cheaper). also you will want to get stainless steel cartos instead of colored ones.

It definitely helps to get SS cartos, but the black boges are SS with a black sticker on them and it can be difficult to remove the sticker and glue at times

I'm working on it now. My husband cut the tubing today and I just sanded it, punched a carto and assembled it. I am using a boge 2.0 and it seems dry, I'm sure the hole is large enough.. maybe it's just that the boges are packed tighter and it's harder for the juice to get in. I'm having a time getting stickers off of my cartos! Peeling them off and then tried to use goo gone.. not working. So I'm just doing the best I can till my ss smoketeck cartos get here tomorrow. the ones I'm making now are for a friend who like the boge 2.0.. that's why I'm using them, going to give her the rest of what I've got. I've got some many resurrectors that are black stickered! It's frustrating trying to get this glue off! I keep getting a dry hit off of the boge, not sure it's wicking right, but at least it's not flooding.

Here's a pic of what I just put together, you can see the hole in the carto and I can see the white filler. Maybe I just need to wait a bit longer for it to wick in. I hope I haven't ruined it by trying to vape it too soon.

Looks good. I know what you mean about trying to de sticker cartos. A big PIB. I use Boges in my tanks and punch one hole about as big as the saddle valve will make. If I can, I fill the boge the night before so it gets soaked up real good. I have had good luck with just putting one in a tank, then hitting on it and drawing juice in without firing, till the bottom of the carto is soaked.

I'll have to try that. sucking without hitting the button. I tried 2 different boges and couldn't get them to wick.. I set them aside and destickered (it came off in one piece!!) a resurrector, assembled the tank.. filled it let it sit for a few minutes and it's vaping great! ( so far) My husband cut the tubing a fraction of an inch shorter than I would have liked (my fault, I told him an inch and a quarter instead of an inch and a half for the xl cartos) but I am thrilled with the results! I'm getting better at punching my cartos too.. this one only took me 2 blows with the hammer :D I doubt I'll order more tubing.. I mean, how many do I really need.. I've got a whole bowl full sitting here. so if you want to order the supplies and make your own, it works.

I wanted to add.. I like to diy and make things myself. But unless you want lots and lots of these tanks, it's probably a lot less hassle to just order them from parksvaping cause their's look more polished than mine and also they sell their's so cheap. the supplies cost me around $20 shipped from amazon and I've got enough to make about 25 tanks. If you're not into diy though, you can get 4 of these tanks from parksvaping for $20.

That's my same thought. If I can take out the grommet, what's the point of syringe filling? Seems like it's unnecessary.

I guess you can do this, I've read where other's have done it successfully. It's just that filling with a syringe seems easier and less messy.. it's not the easiest thing in the world to get the top grommet on and seated properly, might get messy trying to do it when the tank is full of juice. Also like tersur said earlier, when you take the top grommet off, fill the tank and then put the top grommet back on, there's a high chance you'll put pressure inside the tank, forcing the juice to wick continually until the tank is empty. If you do fill by tanking the top grommet off and the carto floods and dumps all the juice because of the pressure inside the tank, you can always stick something down into the carto to let air escape. But if you're going to have to do that, you might as well let that something be a needle and fill it while your doing it.

If you fill this way and it works without flooding, let us know.
