Hi! :)

(I wanted to post this in the "safety" area, but I'm not allowed. )

I was just wondering if anybody, off the top of their head, knew the best places to purchase e-liquid with child proof caps?

Actually, after typing this up, I was thinking I could probably just purchase whatever, and put them in child proof bottles myself. Ah well.

Still, if there are decent sites, I'd love to check them out. <3

(Scared to death of the e-liquid. Not for me, but I have two young kids and i'm superly-overly-cautious & worrisome. lol. )

Johnson Creek comes with child proof caps. You also get the eyedropper and a tiny bottle for your carry case. Liquid is like anything else dangerous. You don't leave it laying around.

EliquidPlanet

Josh and Rich take pride in packaging. Bottles are clearly marked and include the nicotine mgs, the prepared date and the expiration date.

Most Definetly!! I'm ...OCD about keeping hazerdous stuff away from my kids.
My hubby on the otherhand... I'm 90% sure he'll leave a bottle of e-liquid on the counter or his desk or something lol. :-x

Thread moved to Health and Safety.

Thanks!

As a mother, and a nurse, my advice is to remember---THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "CHILD-PROOF CAPS"!!!!!

The best thing is to put your liquids in a safety box with a lock and key.

Then you can safely store the box with your other out-of-reach (another oxymoron, but you know what I mean;)) items.

Put the key on your keyring, and keep a spare somewhere safe so you won't have a nic fit if your keys are misplaced. (You'll need the nic to calm your nerves while you're freaking out about the lost keys!8-o).

As far as hubby goes...the, 'no-sex-if-you-leave-eliquid-where-the-kids-can-get-it' rule, may work. Good luck!:)

I've got quite a bit of liquid and carts and none of it came childproofed. It's truly not difficult or even terribly expensive to do yourself. I've got a cash box ($.50 at thrift store) locked with a combo lock ($1 at DollarTree). I keep it in the cabinet above the fridge. You can get nicer boxes with built in combo locks for $20 or less in with electronics for CDs and cameras. Also tackle or tool boxes with places for locks or locking Caboodles cases (Target, Walmart, Walgreen's, etc) to organize and protect your gear. (Like the cases they use on CSI) caboodles : Target : Target Search Results

I use about 3ml/day. I keep 2 or 3-3ml dropper bottles with about 2mls each of my flavor choices for the day out of the lock box. I have two sizes of proscription bottles (big, small). Each small one holds a big safety pin, 1-3ml bottle and it's respective atty/cart. Whatever flavor I'm using at the time, it's script bottle is either in my pocket, purse or the spice cabinet with the other small bottles. (Same as when I had a pack of analogs and a lighter.) The big bottle stays in the spice cabinet as the catch all for attys/carts/batts. I only have to get into the lock box once a day to every other day for refills and sorting out the big script bottle. Anything I toss gets rinsed first before going into the trash.

It really doesn't take a lot of time and can help slow them down a little should you have an oops moment at home. Plus you can print up labels for the script bottles so if you were to lose one out of the house, anyone who finds it would be alerted to the danger and handle accordingly.

So true. Im paranoid about my Ejuices around my Kids. Right now I keep them in my closet on a very high shelf (7ft high) out of sight.

Last week, my 18 month old opened a bottle of Prenatal vitamins that were "child safety". I thought it was impossible and thought the cap hadnt been put on well enough. I put the lid on and gave it back and watched in utter amazement as he opened it WITH HIS MOUTH.

Just think of your child opening your 24mg bottle of ejuice with his mouth. The result could very well be death. I dont play around with it. People, please keep these WAY out of reach of any kids.

I just wish child proof caps worked on children and not people my grandma's age. Would do no good for me to get them my 8 year old opens bottles for me when I have a headache, his vitamins and his own medicine when he's sick. I did not show him how to do this. Child proof caps are a JOKE please do not rely on them to keep your children out of stuff.

Heavens Gifts (RD) have the right idea, put the dropper in the bottle so it's always protected by a child-proof cap. TW's liquid comes in child-proof caps but the droppers are not child-proof and you tend to leave the droppers on the bottle for ease of use. That needs to be looked at. However according to a Google search, 1 in 5 toddlers can open a child-proof bottle so the bottles themselves need to be locked away too or at least put up high and/or out of view.
