I stopped using dryer sheets after seeing this experiment with the dryer vent. If you rinse the dryer vent, the water won't run through. It acts like a cup. You have to scrub it with a brush to get the film off. I tried it myself and it was true. According to this report, this is a major cause of fires that can start even after you have finished using the dryer. This does not happen if you use liquid fabric softener during the wash cycle.

According to that study, neither group made out too well imo... non-helpful, 5 times/month; helpful, 1.5 times/month...

Lord! I feel bad for both of those groups!!!!!!! :D

That's it - I'm so over dryer sheets.

And, I feel bad for both of those groups too. Just sayin' ;)

Hi Volties!!

Me too Kico. I've got a ton of pages to catch up on. I'm going to have to catch up bit by bit here. I've been away too long, but I still have to read back. So, please excuse if I comment on old subjects out of the blue.

Lately, I've been spending whatever time I can with Blues. It's very doubtful that he'll be back folks. He only has so much that he can give each day. He's been giving that time to me, bless his heart. In return, he has my complete focus as well.

I know that he would like to be here. He really likes you people, but there is only so much that he can do. The man is amazing. He has been through incredible adversity in his life; and yet, he is able to take whatever fresh hell life throws at him with such grace. He doesn't complain or feel sorry for himself. He just ... accepts. Me - I'd be mighty ticked and feeling more than just a little bit picked on. Not my Blues.

RAVEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So good to see you !! We've been thinking about you and Blues. Your both in our thoughts and prayers. We're here for you.(You know that already). If there is anything I can do please let me know

A Provari would certainly be nice, without question. I can say that the Vamo performs quite well, at about a third the price, I know it's not made in the US, but it performs as advertised and has survived a drop off the table with no damage.

I like mine so far. It doesn't deliver quite the flavor that I'm used to ... at any voltage. I can sure fog up a room though! :vapor:

Welcome back, Rave! We were all worried when we didn't hear from you in so long. How are you doing? Give Blues our best. We'll certainly miss his presence, but I completely understand how, if he has only so much energy, Voltville might not be the place to spend it. Is he able to get out and see his animals yet? What's going on with him?

I will be glad to give Blues your best as well as everyone else's. Yes, he has been cleared for physical activity, but that doesn't mean that folks don't still bug him to take it easy. He spends a lot of time with the cats. I'm sorry - I'm just not free to say what's goin' on with him. I hope that you all will be understanding about that.

I'm sorry I'm going to have to say good night right when Rave appeared, but those exercises are calling me, and I've been trying not to listen. If only I could figure out how to make them fun!

Meanwhile, to say good night, here's another flower, an iris.

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better, you've got so much going on right now. Are you getting plenty of rest?

Goodnight SandySu. I'm glad that your arm is getting better.

Beautiful iris photo!! Irises are my favorite flowers. Just gorgeous!

Raynes - Don't you worry 'bout me. I'm tough as nails. And, yeah, I get plenty of rest. :)

I've heard that it can take MONTHS (not weeks) to recover from bypass surgery Rave, so just hang in there. One day soon, he'll wake up suddenly feeling like a new man, I just know it! Especially with his can-do attitude! ;)

Much love goes out to both of you.

Who's worrying? I just asked a simple question. (This coming from the person who always worries when I'm out of town). Your tougher than nails more like your as tough as railroad spikes.

YIKES, I'm in big trouble again: I just learned how to make SCONES!

Nice thing is, I can make them with white wheat flour and Splenda and sneak in veggies (I made zucchini walnut spice), but all health benefits vanish with the dip in cream cheese glaze.

Oh, well...I guess life's too short to be a size 0.
