I liked it. I think it's art to make something like that. I'd go see it if it was nearby. I've always been fascinated by those kids' toys where a ball rolls down a complicated route. I don't know if I was so fascinated as a kid, but I am now in my 2nd childhood. I thought the video was very professionally made, too.

I liked it too, and should have said so. Those kids' marble run games are neat and I really like the rolling ball clocks. I even thought of getting one of the swinging ball desk toys, which is a different concept, but I think my cat would make short work of it. ;-)

Sitting down, facing forward.
I have a replica "Buccho" (I think that's the spelling) clock. It's a very early escapement movement but keeps relatively good time. It only has one hand, an hour hand. Back then, minutes weren't very important.

The video was professional and so was all the gadgets/gimmicks to pour the soda. That makes me wonder if it was an idea cooked up by the kids or from the marketing department. Terrible to be so cynical.

Hope you got some extra sleep. I'm a little off my "normal" schedule, by about twenty minutes. Anyhow, coffee is on and we always have bagels around, so dig in.

Yup I did, didn't get up until almost 10. The Sheriff called me at 1am and at 1:15 I was at the clubhouse heavily armed and half asleep but it was all for nothing. We were getting wind gusts up to 30mph and unfortunately it was my night in the barrel...

Well, it's always a good day when you don't have to pull your .38 S&W out and point it at someone:) So far, I've had all good days when it comes to that:)

You know, you're not the only one. It seemed very professional, all the kids acted well, they all looked great -- it was like a commercial, not somebody's school project.

Well, I am comfortable with the .38. It fits nicely into my special gun toting purse. It is easy to use and I am accurate with it. I got my CCW so I am legal to carry concealed. I got a nice belt and holster for when I am hiking.

Good for you, if more people were armed it would be a much politer society. Here in Va. if you pass the standard background check you automatically qualify for a CCW.

Hi chitchatters! I'm completely sure this is the wrong place to be posting this, but what the heck:laugh:? I just found out I won $50 from the what I love about spring contest. Woohoo!!! I'm so excited because I have a coworker who is interested in finally switching over from cigarettes, and I hope to set her up right with this gift from Smokeless Image. I've never bought a thing from this vendor. I use a REO and am way out of the loop on everything else. What do you all think would be the best way to spend this $50 to set up a newbie the very best I can to ensure she'll stick with e-cigs over analogs? I just visited the site, and I just don't know. I know that she's concerned about PG and hopes to use VG juices. So with that in mind, could any of you suggest how the money would best be spent? I am SO sorry for interrupting the flow of conversation:facepalm:, but I'm eager to get her started right away, and I knew the most people would likely see this here. I'll start another thread just to thank Imagine and SI. But thank you all here SO much, in advance, for any feedback, whatsoever!

Why, becky, ain't you something?! You're in the perfect place, and welcome! Never apologize for joining the conversation; there are no interruptions, just new directions. I thought all the really nice people were already posting on this thread, and here you come along:D
I've got to step away, but if no one has helped you (yeah, right!) before I go to bed, I'll be back with some suggestions.

Becky, that is so sweet of you. I would have spent it on me getting some 555 and Ry4:)

Becky, I not sure why your coworker is worried about PG as the vast majority of people have no problems with it. That said, the SI ejuices are 80/20 or 70/30 PG/VG if I remember correctly.

Nicquid I do not know about the ratios but it is popular.

I would get:

Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

It is $44.95. I would upgrade to the 78mm batteries for an extra $1 each. I would get one auto batt and one manual batt so she could try the two available styles. I would choose the Smooth sampler which is tobaccos.

I would throw in a sweet sampler for another $8.95

Yes, that does total $55.90 but because it is over $55 you will get the free shipping.

Your coworker can always try out the other wonderful options in the future.

I'm surprised that so many of you carry guns or other weapons. Why? Did you ever need to use it while you had it? What were the circumstances? Please take this as it's intended, as curiosity not criticism.

Believe it or not I was an Eagle Scout and a Scoutmaster up until I moved to NYC after college. I have always lived by the Boy Scout Motto "Be Prepared" or as they say "Better to have and not need than to need and not have... People are crazy anymore and I think it's time we return fire instead of debating over something you can't fix with new Gun Laws. I wish it was like it was when I was growing up but it's not. I don't claim to have the answers on how to fix the problem but until someone figures it out I will protect my Family and myself to the death, so help me God!
Don't worry I know how you mean it... :D

It's like the news story going around the interweb (I think it's fake) about this 85 year old woman that get's pulled over for speeding. When she opened the glove box to get her papers a 45 Colt fell out. When the cop asked if she had anymore firearms she started pulling pistols out of her purse, from under the seat and even had one strapped to her thigh. The Cop asked her what in the world was she so afraid of and she answered "Not a Damn Thing"

I came very close Monday as a matter of fact. I wuzz looking for some property markers on some newly purchased land when a neighbors pit bull got very aggressive. I slowly walked away and he didn't persue but I had halfway cleared leather by the time I got to a safe distance. Things like that happen very suddenly. Once when I was younger I drew to prevent violence toward me but didn't have to go any farther than that. There were a small group who were notorious for sending people to the hospital. I advised them the first six weren't going to make it. Since there were only five I guess they didn't like the odds. Again I slowly retreated. I also carry a fire extingusher in my car, insurance on my car and home, a spare tire, flashlights and assorted other thing I hope I'll never have to use.

Hi, Becky, welcome. Congratulations for winning the contest. Why is your friend concerned about PG? I'm sorry that I can't be much help with suggestions. I've only tried the simplest of SI's e-cigs, and others have lots more experience with many more varieties, so they are better able to advise you. Do keep it simple for a newbie, though, so maybe the batteries and cartos I use would be best, though I think SI's flavors have PG in them. Otherwise, I'd suggest the sampler packs so she can try out many different flavors.

We live in the middle of nowhere. I like to go out to the hills or down by the lake - alone. Now, I have nice dogs but they are not protection dogs. One guy out there thought aliens were attacking him. Another man shot several people and kidnapped his children. I won't go into the further nightmare producing details.

Then there is the possibility that a cougar or some other critter like a badger would attack Penny or even myself. Cougars are fairly common in some areas and badgers scare the beejeezus out of me.

I'm on the highway, alone, twice a week. Most of the people are super nice but you never know.

I'm at my home a lot. If a cop got there in 20 minutes, it would be amazing. Yes, the dog should alert me before someone can come up to the house or me out of the blue but I might have to protect myself if they are truly nuts or on drugs or criminally evil.

When we go deer hunting I am often at camp alone. One year an alcoholic guy the men had met decided to come to our camp with just me and mom there. He finally asked us the rather creepy question "Aren't you gals afraid of being in camp alone?" Without thinking, I pulled the pistol out of my coat pocket, not aiming at him and showed it to him. I said "Not when I have this.!"

A few minutes later we told him that we didn't think it was proper for a strange man to be hanging out in a camp full of women. He decided it was time to leave. Good decision. And he didn't drop by again. Now, I wasn't threatening the guy and he may not have been dangerous but you can see that we got the respect we deserved and the privacy we wanted.

I actually don't ever expect to need my gun for self defense but I do like having it and I would use it if my person was in danger.
