This transition into spring is a trip! One day in the 70s, today in the 30s and COLD!!!

I'm glad you are happy for the colder temps Deb, as for me, the warmer the better. I can't wait for the days of Tshirts and jeans only..

Today, it's supposed to go into the 50s! And no precipitation! What a treat! Maybe you'll get this nice day sometime soon, since weather travels from west to east, and you are southeast.

I'm outta here for a while today. Lots to do. Meanwhile, in celebration of the spring day, here's a close-up of a star magnolia. They smell even stronger than the regular magnolias. I can hardly wait for them to bloom. When they do, just walking down the street past one is a special kind of joy.

Hi everyone, getting a later than usual start today here. I shouldn't say that really, I don't keep any kind of regular hours these days so it's hard to tell what is late and what is early.

JoAnn, Glad to hear that it seems like things went well for your test, no news is good news, right?

Lizzie, Girl, you amaze me with your projects! Everything looks great, how good you must feel when you see all that you have accomplished.

Deb and Becky, Congrats on the win! WooooHoooo, free stuff!!

Rabbit, you must be so proud of your grandson, I know I would be. Love the long hair! When my oldest son was in high school, he had the nicest straight, long hair, then the style changed and he shaved the lower parts off, yuck.

Awsum, Kon, Sandy, Tail, Marlou, dw, and everyone, hope you have a great day, sorry, didn't mean to leave anyone out.....but I have breaking news to share!!!

Oh, Q, they are sweet! So sweet! My first thought when I saw them wrapped in their green was they are like two peas in a pod. :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
Congrats Q! Two for the price of one, well sort of anyway, :)

Just went out to Home Despot and Costco for a semi-productive trip. Costco let me down. Anyhow it's 58 here now with lots of sun which makes me wish I had that solar water heater done already. Oh well, it will take some time, even the prep work takes time.

Thanking everyone for the wonderful computer breakfast and firearms advice.

I hate to seem like I am bragging, (but I am) - My oldest grandson is a GEEK like me. - :rickroll:

He is building his own very powerful gaming computer, and I mean "powerful", this thing has all of the top components we could find. At 13, he is a top student, science and math wiz and is quickly becoming a true computer geek like me. I am so proud of him. Yes, that is long, long hair on him. I convinced my daughter to let his hair grow many years ago, and since my wife won't let me grow mine long with a pony tail, I am living vicariously through my grandson.

Nothing wrong with long hair, mine is half way to my waist again. Maybe he's a Biker in training, we all tinker with stuff, mostly Bikes though Oh and Dancers... :thumb:

Congratulations Grandma! :toast:

What beautiful baby boys! You'll have to come back with their weights. The handsome guy (Ben?) on the right looks a little bigger. Thanks for the picture. :)

Congratulations QRXT

Now you can spoil them rotten.

I have a twin grandson and granddaughter they do everything together, and at age 4 they still prefer to sleep in the same room, although my daughter has my youngest grandson and the boy twin in one room and my grand daughter in another. Many nights the twins wake up and end up sleeping in the same room again on the floor. Their day care school split them up into different classes and I am told they try to sneak back together when possible. They are best friends and rarely fight. I know you are excited, proud and look forward to many, many years of happiness spoiling them

One more HUGE congrats from the newest visitor to Voltville, QRXT. :toast:!! Those babies are just crazy-cute!! But I don't know...in the last three days there have been so many new babies on my steady threads, it's like a conspiracy to get the old maternal clocks tick-tocking in my ear like mad:ohmy:! I'll be 33 in a couple months, and my mom's already trying to get that ticking to turn into a drumbeat:p:laugh:. Sure doesn't seem like there are very many other singles on this forum with whom to commiserate at all. Ah, well. White Rabbit, I'm happy to see you here, as well. You've been such a help to me in the Vamo O-Ring fix thread. I've decided that if I can fix that thing, it'll go to Sarah, as well. And I'll just stick with my REO. Hope everyone's Thursday is flying right by:).

Becky...you know you want to be a Mommy....tick tick tick tick......:D

Thanks all for the kind words, I do appreciate it! JoAnn, you are right, Ben is just a bit bigger, plus angle makes him look bigger too. He was 7lb, 6oz, Sam was 6lb, 12oz.

This reminds me of the cigars that new fathers would pass out to everyone. Someone needs to design an ecig for that!

Here I am, can't wait for the warmth of spring and just found out this is the year for the 17-year cicada. :( "They" are expecting an explosive population to emerge... and don't get me started on the massive amount of stinkbugs expected.

Boy how I hate those things.

Makes you wish the Cicada's would eat the stinkbugs at least...
