Yeah - guess that cinches it.

I know it's morning here because the assault on the house has resumed once again. Each spring brings a bevy of attackers to my windows. So far this year I have bank swallows, flycatchers, a cowbird, and Tom the turkey. They will be followed by indigo buntings and others. Last year a red tailed hawk was attacking VERY loudly. They see their own reflection and are defending their territory against that good-lookin' fellow that they see. They can't win this battle, but it continues ...

Speaking of birdies - The wren is still nesting in the propane tank. That can't be a good idea. And we have a nest being constructed on top of the front porch light. Use of the porch light is now strictly prohibited.

LOL - we had a cardinal that used to have a ritual every day with the side mirror on my truck... Everyday like clock work he would attack his reflection...

And a fine mornin it is. I slept like a baby after anesthesia yesterday. Had a biopsy and lost some weight. Now I gotta wait for the results. Back on coffee and solid food lol. Life is good.

So - literally on anesthesia? Fingers crossed on the biopsy.

The sun is shining. Aren't you lucky. All we have is clouds - have not seen the sun yet... LOL

I'd take clouds right now if it meant rain. Fires are starting to break out too often around here and the winds are fueling them. I still remember the firestorms we had one year. You couldn't stand to be outside for the smoke.

Good luck on the results of the biopsy, Wuzz.

I remember those fires each spring, before the rainy season got under way. Those dry, sunny days all winter long are heavenly, but there's a price to pay. One spring a house guest and I flew to Key West for the weekend. When we got back to Ft. Myers the pilot announced we might not be able to land there because there were a couple of fires. We could see the smoke. One fire looked to be in the general area of the lot where I had parked the car. But all ended well; we were able to land and the other fire wasn't at the parking lot.

We didn't usually get those fires in the Ft. Myers area. The ones that day were small and easily put out. When we moved there in '98 there were fires very close to I75, but further north, toward central Florida. At times I truly regret moving back north. I miss the weather, the clean air and living on the Gulf....... and the calmer, slower pace.
