I'm so excited - My rose breasted grosbeaks have returned. They are starving from their migration and will eat from the feeder less than 3 feet from my knees as I sit on the deck. Sometimes I'll have a dozen of them chowing down all at once. It's all males for now, but the females will arrive in a week or so - After the males have established territories. Gorgeous birds but they sure can pack away the groceries! I'll go through eight to ten cups of sunflower seeds a day at this time of the year.

It must be wonderful to get to see them close up. And to get such a great shot, too.

Thanks!! It really does feel like an honor for them to trust me enough to be that close. They know me by now. Now I'm already eagerly awaiting the return of the indigo buntings. Should be any day now! :)

I hope you'll get another great close-up of them to share with us.

Meanwhile, all those people in parts of the country that need rain should have taken ours today. I was supposed to have a riding lesson, and it got rained out. It's probably just as well. The hoof trimmer hasn't come to do Penny's feet in too long, and I'm not sure riding her is a good idea till he comes. Meanwhile, my instructor told me today, when I phoned to cancel the lesson, that she may learn hoof trimming from my present trimmer, who's overwhelmed with work. Our area needs some skilled hoof trimmers, not just farriers who don't know the special techniques of trimming a horse for barefoot, only trimming for putting shoes on. They may seem the same, but they aren't. I'd love to have someone more local and reliable, but She may need more experience to work on Penny's clubfoot.

I was going to mow my small pasture today, but the rain has other plans. I'm expecting my X2's and clearos today so I guess I'll finish some paperwork and stalk the mail lady. Sorry you got rained out, SandySu. We have only one farrier over here who does the barefoot trim and he is SWAMPED. It can take 2 to 3 weeks to get him in.

Rave, we have a cardinal that decided to dive bomb one of our goats. It actually hit the american wire fence and popped out the other side like a cartoon in a cloud of feathers. After my daughter and I realized what we just saw, we went over to check. There were little feathers all over the grass but the bird kept on flying. He usually beats on the living room window or sits on the side-view mirror of a truck and pounds the windows. We had a house finch nesting in a bucket in the barn. We relocated the bucket to a very secure roll of fence and gave her a roof. She seems to like her fortress well enough.:D Can't wait to see the babies. I love the birds but bees are another matter. My son is allergic. If they aren't honey bees, I have to evict them from the property. I avoid killing the honey bees because they are kept on a neighboring farm for pollination and honey. They usually just look for food and move on.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Just thought I'd stop by and share something I found that would hold clearomizers. It's called a bottle buddy from EliteVaperWorks. I have mine filled with a small bottle of my favorite vape and two clearomizers filled. Works nice when I'm in my bedroom, on my laptop, not wanting to get up and go all the way into the dining room where we keep the vaping supplies at.

What a great idea! I have one of those bottle buddies that a vendor sent me with an order and I've never used it. Now I have a use for it. Well, I will have a use for it when I get more clearos. Right now I just have two of them. lol

That's cool! Yea, it worked out real nice when I was chain-vaping my Strawnana in the cartos! I ordered the one with the empty bottles and would just fill them up and keep them on my nightstand! :)

Good Saturday, Volties. I ordered some of these Blunt Tip Needle Cap - ECBlend. Thought they might come in handy for filling. While I was there, I also got some Chocolate Vanilla 555...it just sounds so good.:p

Have a wonderful day/weekend. I am into Facebook...lots of long lost cousins on there. If any of you Volties are on Facebook and would like to be friends, PM me and tell me who you are and we can chat there, too.:)

Rave, that is a beautiful bird. Thanks for sharing that.

I stopped reading after "Strawnana".... sounds like it would right right up my alley :)

It's really good, Starsong! I bought mine from EliteVaperWorks, but ECBlend makes a nice Strawberry Banana! Thing is, the banana isn't good on clearomizers and cracked mine. :(

I have never met a fruit flavored vape that I liked, until now. I recently got brave and tried a couple versions (Blueberry Banana and another multi-fruit blend that has banana). I really really really love Banana!

If SI ever decides to expand their flavor offerings, I do hope some version of banana will be among them. :nun:
Banana is yummy, but one thing I realized was that it's really easy to OD on it - then you have to put it away for awhile because even just the thought of it is nauseating. I think Stacey went through this too. My favorite banana vape is Monkey Chunks from TV. Add a little strawberry and it becomes a really good banana split too! :p

Interesting Tina. I never heard of banana cracking clearos, I thought it was only cinnamon flavors. I'll have to keep that in mind. What I would love is a clearo that would stand up to any juice and have some wicks on the bottom so you could vape every last drop. I think Imagine is working on this. I want that not only for myself, but for SI too! It would be something that would set them apart from everyone else for a long time! :)
