I was going to mow my small pasture today, but the rain has other plans. I'm expecting my X2's and clearos today so I guess I'll finish some paperwork and stalk the mail lady.

Sorry you got rained out, SandySu. We have only one farrier over here who does the barefoot trim and he is SWAMPED. It can take 2 to 3 weeks to get him in.
Rave, we have a cardinal that decided to dive bomb one of our goats. It actually hit the american wire fence and popped out the other side like a cartoon in a cloud of feathers. After my daughter and I realized what we just saw, we went over to check. There were little feathers all over the grass but the bird kept on flying. He usually beats on the living room window or sits on the side-view mirror of a truck and pounds the windows. We had a house finch nesting in a bucket in the barn. We relocated the bucket to a very secure roll of fence and gave her a roof. She seems to like her fortress well enough.

Can't wait to see the babies. I love the birds but bees are another matter. My son is allergic. If they aren't honey bees, I have to evict them from the property. I avoid killing the honey bees because they are kept on a neighboring farm for pollination and honey. They usually just look for food and move on.
Hope everyone is having a good day!
