I AM an early bird, I just live in the West - my early is three hours later than your early:)

Coffee, Freedom 24mg and a big hello - or should I say Cheep! Cheep! Holy canoli -I'm up so early there aren't even any birds up yet.

Hi Moonstruck. Hi Holly. Nice to meet you both. Welcome to the forum.

Looks like we will have beautiful weather for about a week so I will be spending all my time getting as much done as possible outdoors.

Hoping to take the little horse out for a drive today. Maybe get a little painting done on the shed. Have to drive into Carson City buy the rest of the supplies for the wood shed we are building. We went to the small town up the road and I just about passed out from viewing the prices. We didn't buy treated 4x4's since they were $25 apiece and untreated were $8. We put some motor oil on the bottom 2 feet and we are hoping for the best. Since it is really dry out here, they will probably hold up for a long time.

The store wanted $16 for OSB. I got on the computer and found some thin OSB for $8.50 or the thicker OSB for $12. Told Hubby we should run right down there and buy some after work today before the price goes up.

I didn't get a whole lot of pics from the vacation. We camped in one spot for 5 days with the in-laws. Then we took off for Mt. Rushmore. We got a couple of hours away and then expensive noises were from under the hood. I said "Sounds like we broke a belt." Hubby pulled the car over, found a car repair shop in Tiny Town, Wy where we had just picked up gas. Oh, I should mention it was snowing and we had a couple of hours of daylight left. Totally sucking. So, we limp back to the town and get our car in the shop. They started talking like it wouldn't be fixed until Monday. Hubby talked with them and helped the mechanic who seemed to be overly fond of getting a hammer out to fix things. Scary!!!!! Parts had to come from Billings, Montana or Denver, Colorado. They found a part that would be delivered on Friday so we stayed at am over priced motel for two nights. The motel said they only had a room available for two nights and I was really worried the car wouldn't be fixed on Friday.

They did manage to get the car going Friday at noon. The bill was outrageous but since we were expecting that, we whipped out the credit card, paid up and got out of there. We decided to drive home rather than do any more sight seeing.

The good news is that all the animals were very happy and my friend ended up loving feeding the pets. She says to call her if we get stuck out of town late or go somewhere again. The pets really are enjoyable and relaxing. The goats raise a ruckus and the miniature horse looks expectantly towards the shed and tosses his little head.

The best part of the trip was being stuck in a motel for two days when it is snowing and vaping my face off. All the motels are no smoking now so vaping was a fantastic option. I am barely smoking any cigs since the end of the vacation. I am thrilled!!!! I stayed in the tent and had coffee and vaped on those chilly mornings at camp. Wonderfully warm and cozy. I vaped every night in the tent whilst reading a book. I vaped in the truck for hundreds of miles and Hubby liked that a lot. I vaped when everyone was hanging out talking in camp and I felt great that I wasn't stuck on the downwind side and feeling self conscious about being a smoker. I had high hopes about vaping during vacation and it worked out fantastically.

Once the cigs I have run out, I am not buying any more. The vaping has taken over the need for cigs. Yeah!!!!!! Yesterday I left the house with no cigs and was gone for hours and didn't miss them at all.

Hope you get better fast SandySu. First Officer, stealing from a clubhouse just goes to show you that there are some not very smart people in the world.

Have a great day, Volties.

It isn't snowing here in Nevada but it sure was in Wyoming. Today is going to be a very nice day here in Northern Nevada and I am going to enjoy what may be the last week of really nice weather we are going to have.

Enjoy Epcot. I haven't been to Florida. I used to live in Anaheim, Home of Disneyland. I used to love going there to hang out.

Well said Rave and sometimes it does not take 3 years to come to that realization...

Your absolutely right Semi !! When I was shopping for my first e-cig SI was the only vendor that asked if they could help me. They didn't try to sale me on Volts they just simplified things for me. That impressed me a LOT. Volts are all I care about knowing about. I'm all about simplicity.

Maybe it's just me but once and a while I venture down to the threads at the bottom and it's seems like there are an awful lot of complaints here in the last few weeks. I wonder what's up with that? I still stand firmly by SI but it would appear the move into the new technology has had a negative effect on the Volties. But then I've only been here a few months, maybe it's normal and I've just noticed it.

Yea I noticed that to,but IMHO you can't beat SI.

The cop told us the old man that shares the driveway with us got the plate number off the truck so I figure by Monday we should know something. If they do catch them they won't be safe in jail and they sure won't be safe out of jail either. Our Sargent at Arms has already put out a bounty for them at the jail. What kind of .....'s break into a 1% Biker Club House? I may be nice but most of our club are ex cons that would do bad things to you without any regrets. We have somewhere around 20 in the State system and our Mother Club has the biggest gang in the US prison system, I sure wouldn't want to be one of those ...... when they do get caught. Apparently stealing firearms makes it a federal case. It was funny watching the two LEO's that came to talk to us trying to act all bad. I had to go outside to keep from laughing. I think they were a little intimidated because by the time they showed up there were almost 40 of us in a very bad mood waiting to hear the news from them, I almost felt sorry for them...

40 mad bikers !!! Now THAT gives me nightmares.

So Raynes since you are a Psych nurse maybe you can help me. I keep seeing these winged demonic creatures with no hair and some kind of Vampire Monkey looking things, is this normal? Should I seek help? Maybe I need to spend less time on the computer because that seems to trigger the episodes? Whats your professional opinion?

After reading your posts and Rave's I think she's the best therapist you could possibly have. Since you appear to have a phobia of monkeys I would say that Rave is in the process of desensitizing you, where you will no longer fear these cute monkeys. Its part of what is called behavior modification therapy. Behaviorist psychiatrists generally use this technique with people who have a fear of spiders, monkeys, etc. Since she can't desensitize you in person she has to use the computer to do so. Soon,if you continue in her therapy program you will see monkeys as your best friend and you'll be wanting a cute chimpanzee as a biker buddy. That's her goal.

When I first got home from the hospital from giving birth to my daughter, my x-mother-in-law (who was there to supposedly help out with the newborn) attacked me with a knife. She'd been putting her meds in the potted plants. She was an alcoholic schizophrenic. That didn't work out too well.

Oh GEEZ Rave I hope you had her committed. Atleast the ones I deal with are in a controlled environment. Several yrs ago I was working in MS on the med surgical floor and we had an alcoholic that we had to keep in 4point leather restraints he was so violent anyway he was a very abusive man to his wife and she was terrified of him and not a smart woman. He told her that if she didn't bring him a gun he would kill her. Well she did and she also cut his restraints. That guy killed a nurse, and wounded 2 others.
God was looking out for me that day as he was usually my patient and I was off.
Officer you were lucky to.
My specialty is geriatric psych actually. Sometimes I get called out to testify in elder abuse cases along with one of our psychiatrists.
Most mentally ill patients are NOT violent. Abusers, murderers, molesters are NOT mentally ill. There are rabid dogs and rabid humans.
If you ever get a chance and haven't seen it yet you need to see the movie A Beautiful Mind. Its a true story and I LOVE it !!!
The media always exposes the negative stuff about mental illnesses they don't tell you about all the triumphs,My heroes are the ones that have a mental illness and over come.Like Patty Duke.
We had a psychiatrist that was Bipolar. Dr. A was raised poor. His dad was an alcoholic and was abusive to his family. He had one thing going for him---a teacher who cared. He went to college, was diagnosed as a bipolar while he was in medical school. Dr.A over came the odds. He's still a close friend of mine,he has his own geriatric psych facility now doing GREAT.

No, no - actually, I was just enjoying being ornery. My motives are not nearly so benevolent as you describe.

Actually, I have a little bit of an ape phobia myself. My ankle was grabbed by an insane chimpanzee one time. Long story. Apes and monkeys are a bit too close to human. I feel warmer toward animals with less human characteristics.

1st Officer, I think you just have to watch some cartoons! Man up! It's not like I've posted MY pics - now that would REALLY scare you!

Are you threatening me? :D I didn't think so cause how would it look if you were the one that put me over the edge? Ok, further over the edge!
