My interest in DIY was purely based on the fact that I am a cheapskate not to mention 5 Daughters that always have their hands out. To answer your question though I would put you in the minority based on the last few days but that's not a bad thing. :D

I have three....they are grown up and still have their hands out! If it wasn't for my girls (and this darn economy) I would have so much more money for vape stuff. :glare:

I just wanted to show you a picture of what "spoiled rotten" looks like - just in case you've never seen it. Lexi loves her window seats. And she still looks sad.

Mine range in age from 13 to 32 and I think it's genetic, not a learned behavior. My youngest has it down to an art form, I find myself reaching for my wallet every time I see her coming down the hall but then she has the benefit of seeing how it was done by the 4 before her plus she's a real Daddy's Girl, she has been riding on the back of my motorcycle since she was 5. That girl has logged more miles on a bike than most bikers.

E-readers are great! I have a Kindle.

The main reason I got an e-reader was to eliminate the stacks of books that were overflowing the tables and sitting around on the floor. It's amazing how many books fit in one of those little gizmos.

Meant to say - boy do I hear you on that one!

Also - the Kindle Nation newsletter I get ... well just had to share this with the readers ... I just bought my second ebook:
Twelve Months: Steven Manchester: Amazon.com: Kindle Store

Here's the link to Kindle Nation - where you can also enter to win a free kindle fire HD ...
Kindle Fire HD Giveaway Sweepstakes

I do have over 400 to read from the freebies (and haven't looked at the offerings for a few months!) but this one sounds like a must read for all. What would you do if you only had 12 months? I've a hunch it will help me keep perspective w/ mom & hubby.
So, I figured for less than $5 I couldn't go wrong ...

On tablets - Asus 10.? is one that's been recommended ($400?) are they worth it or is the Kindle Fire sufficient? While I've heard all phone company's are pushing Smartphones and trying to eliminate the smaller flip phones - I when it comes to actual phone function I think I prefer the flip w/ the super fast ease of speed dial to the "Not-so-Smart" phone! (Mine had a labotomy in Aug - not a pretty picture!) :D

OK, 6.5 hours and it's DEAD,,,,,but I vaped A LOT.

next time I buy one, though, I'm going for the 1300.
So, I'm guessing you have the 900 XL - ????? That's about the time I get on that one. My biggest regret equipment wise: The VV's.
I can't seem to keep a charge on them. I'm so sorry I jumped ship to try em. My book: Can't beat SI ... they are simply the best!

Kico - you do not want oil based flavorings. Not only will they gunk up your equipment, but I don't think you want to be coating your lungs with oil. Just sayin'.
Hadn't given the lung factor much thot ... just something said about "oil" in a "fruit" flavor that might have caused cracking in the Clearo.
Excellent Point.

OMGosh! "Spoiled Rotten" is adorable! (even if sad lookin'!) My poor puppers looks out the sidelight with big eyes now bcs I'm out by the horses ... Winter is comin' then he'll cheer up!

For you parents reachin' for the wallet ... Mom helped us out quite a bit when hubby was very sick (2.5 yrs snoozin 18 hrs / day). Never mind my broken ankle during that time. 70 yrs old and bringing meals to my house ... No kids here - at the time one 10 yr old foster boy.
I figure all the frustration and headache of tryin' to live with her and bro is "payback" ... so hopefully the kids will remember and "be there" for you when you need the help ...

Guess it's time to get supper goin' ...

speaking of electronics,,,,,I think I want an E-book, but the choices are confusing

ahhhhhhhh stole some of DD's strawberry shortcake  yummy. I've been jumping around flavors today

Speaking of flavors, yesterday I received an order I had placed with another vendor. Sorry, but when it comes to juice, I am not vendor loyal. I get what tastes the best to me. Anyway, watermelon was on sale in the 18mg strength, 30ml glass bottle for $8.50. Could not believe the price. I've been vaping watermelon for 3 years, and I've tried it from many, many different vendors. This has got to be the best watermelon flavor I've ever vaped. Also got in a sampler pack of 4 5ml bottles. The pineapple was heavenly, but I can't vape it -- too acidic and I nearly coughed my lungs up. Oh well, that's why they call them samplers. However .... the vanilla custard is to die for! I've never been much on dessert-type vapes before, but this could become my new fav over watermelon. I've been vaping it since yesterday, and cannot seem to put it down. Smells like when you open a package of vanilla pudding mix. I've been vaping my face off -- it's just heavenly.

I do have a sampler carto pack coming from SI (the sweet one); look forward to trying those.

E-readers are great! I have a Kindle. Novels and a few odd non-fiction books are all I put on it though. Most non-fiction books are better in book form because it's easier to flip back and forth in them. And of course cookbooks, decorating and pattern books are better in book form for the same reason and for the pictures. :)

The main reason I got an e-reader was to eliminate the stacks of books that were overflowing the tables and sitting around on the floor. It's amazing how many books fit in one of those little gizmos.

I still like the feel of a real book in my hands, but I also like my Kindle. I bought the leather cover with the built-in light - makes reading at night or in low light very easy. Plus I love that you can get free and very low-cost ebooks from Amazon. My nephew is a new sci-fi author, and his books are only available in e-book format, so I support him by buying his books on Amazon. Plus I find it really convenient to have my cookbooks on my Kindle.

I totally understand about the space -- I've downsized and gotten rid of hundreds (maybe thousands?) of books.

all mine are grown up now, thank the good lord,,,,,

however,,my husband just spent last evening driving 140 bucks over to my oldest so she could buy groceries  it never ENDS!

Please define grown up? All of mine except the youngest are in college or still searching for what they want to be and even the oldest is still around every time I look up and she moved out 10 years ago. Sometimes I think they are just waiting for me to kick the bucket so they can all move back in. None are married one has been engaged several times. I think maybe I may have set a bad example for relationships being married 5 times but they all lived with me through it all. We even adopted a girl that was 13 who is now in college. I think kids are a life long project but I wouldn't have it any other way. Besides I figure when I get too old to function I will have plenty of help, I hope...

Yes, Kico, I have a 900,,,,,I'd' probably get 9 hours of it if I vaped like a normal person instead of a maniac

next time,,,,,,,,1300! maybe I'll get 9 hours out of it

The 1300s will get you through about 1 and 1/2 days of heavy use. The manuals seem to last a few hours longer. I have a 650 I use for nothing but a pass through and it sits on the table next to the lazyboy, I have no Idea how long it lasts because I've never unplugged it. All the rest of my X2s are 1300s 7 in total.
