Hey, DW, the pink X2 sounds awesome.
Sandy Su, great to see you here!!! Keep that determination level up!!!! Glad you are doing your physical therapy.
Threadkiller - you crack me up.
Q - Not much to say either but I hope everyone has a nice night.
Hubby got the electrical outlet in for the doggy door. No more extension cord running across the kitchen floor fro the wall outlet on the other side of the room. Looks nice!!! Definitely had a tacky factor.
We had a vicious storm go through. Winds to 70 mph, yesterday and today. Friday, too. Today was so bad. I fed the little horse and then the wind came up while he was eating. He tried valiantly to eat but then would have to turn his cute little horsey hind end into the wind it was blowing so hard. As soon as the wind let up a bit, he would turn back and get his head right into that feeder again. The goats gave up and went back into the goat hut. I think all their hay blew away any how.
So, Hubby decides he must buy this wood splitter that a guy is selling up at Lake Tahoe. Raining like the dickens, totally windy. Takes us two hours to get there. While they are discussing the darn machine the rain turns into snow and it starts sticking. We had a slick drive back to the pass. Coming down the mountain there were people spun out all over the place. Someone in our direction had done a 360 and hit the center divider wall. Finally, we got down the road another couple of miles and we were into the slush. Another mile or two after that and we were back into the rain.
Coming out of Carson City there was a massive pile up of cars and about 20 emergency vehicles. There's only one road going west out of town so we weren't going that way anytime soon. I told Hubby let's make a u -ey and head back into town for lunch. So, Chinese for lunch. Then the accident was pretty much cleared up by the time we tried to head out of town again. I didn't hear what happened. Maybe it will be in the paper tomorrow. Hope everyone was okay.
The Truckee got close to flooding [that river runs through Reno]. No talk of the Carson flooding. If the rain hadn't turned to snow up in the mountains we would have had a mess in both Carson City and Reno.
