I always hate having the flu . I end up feeling so bad I should be dying but NO - I AM going to live!!!

yep,,,,,this morning I was afraid I WOULDN'T die.

at least I'm a bit better tonight after spending 3 days in bed eating soup and drinking milk shakes (the only things I could eat with my sore throat).

I have one kidney and strep can damage kidneys so if it lasts another day, I need to go have a strep culture,,,,

but I think I'm on the way to recovery, thank goodness,,

doesn't help that DH had it 2 days before me, and DS and DD came down with variations of the same thing on the same day.

I have bottle of menthol just in case I get sick. So far I haven't had to use it. Maybe I should vape it and buy a new bottle on the Xmas sale at SI. I don't know how many months the flavor will stay good and that bottle has to be about 3 months old.

From what I've read, liquids should last at least a year and if kept in the frig even longer. I really can't say for sure, I mix and vape so it never gets to hang around beyond about two weeks.

I guess I could buy some peppermint or menthol flavoring. Has anyone tried the TFA mints or menthols? for their DIY.

I'm so sorry, Holly, that you are feeling bad. I hear the flu is going around here, too. I guess that's an advantage to being out of work with my bum arm. I'm less likely to get it. Feel better soon. Sending vibes and hugs.

I tell you alot of people can't figure out on the radio which band was playing "Come Together". I keep telling them which band was playing that!!!!! They are so close, The only way I can tell who is playing is by the voice of who was singing it.

Hi Volties!

There has been so much catching up to do - great music and some funny stuff too. And, there are so many things that are going on in your lives that I can't possibly cover it. I only wanted to tell you that I'm doing my best to pull myself up by the bootstraps. I'd be here more often if I weren't struggling. You folks that know me are aware of that, so I won't try to say that everything is just dandy. I do want to join in on the fun. I will as soon as I feel that I'm fit company. You are all in my thoughts and I do miss you. Blues is still in constant contact with me and keeping my spirits up. He's good at that, as I'm sure you've noticed. I'm okay, and will be better soon I'm sure.

When I hear a remake of a song, I have to keep thinking of it as something new, not an imitation of what I heard before -- and that is hard to do -- but that way, I'm not comparing what I'm used to to what I'm not. It seems so universal that we like songs we've heard before rather than new stuff, and we like music we're used to in style compared to what we haven't heard. Sometimes, I have to listen to a song for while to understand the depth in it and appreciate it.

I like Stevie Ray Vaughan. It was too bad he died and then his songs went into popularity.
I rember when they came over the radio and siad he died. Other guys in my shop was saying Who the was he.
My reply was: You don't know who he is !!!!!!! I bring in my tape for you to hear. They listened to the tape in the shop and then said
"I don't like it". Then they started to play his songs on the radio. Later all the guy in my shop Had the new album. Including me.
