Thank you, Uncle. I was growing concerned that we puny humans would start taking ourselves a bit too seriously and feelings would get riled up and/or hurt.

What happened was tragic and sad. We don't even know anything about the guy that did this. Was he mentally ill? I don't know. Seems like a tragedy all the way around.

Peeps, although I am far from being a Pollyanna, I think we have to focus on solutions, acceptance, love and the incredible progress that has been made in the world. Yep, we are still having setbacks and hard times but there are so many wonderful advances in science, technology and, dare I say it, the human heart. So many more people today realize that we are all humans whether we are atheist, agnostic, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Pagan, etc; black, white, brown, native to the land or foreign born, gay or straight or confused about sexuality, etc and on and on and on. Many, many people are working at leaving many of their prejudices and preconceived notions about other people behind and trying hard to see people as individual human beings.

Things aren't perfect but through vaccines, people who care and give mosquito nets and supplies, improved sanitation, in so many ways we are better off as a world with a far healthier population, as a whole. We just have to keep growing and learning as a species and work on ourselves, one day at a time and try really hard to remember that is love that makes a difference in people's lives. Sure, sometimes it is tough love but if we all work on the love that we give, the world can be a safer and more caring place for us humans. Love will help us remember the animals with care towards their space and food needs.

IMHO

I think, emotionally, we are just trying to "figure this all out".

trying to make sense from the senseless, I think,,,,,,,,,,in our own ways,,,,,,,,in the structure of our faiths.

Nothing wrong with that,,,,,,I think it's human,,,,,but there's a time to try and turn it to the positive.

Hugs to all of you.

Just got back from decorating our church sanctuary. This is an annual event in which we place many poinsettas in the chancel area. My older daughter got married at Xmas many years ago. The church looks just like it does below and it saved me a lot of money on flowers as well as providing quite a background for a wedding.

Hiya Uncle,

I agree with you, which is why I structured my post the way I did. I am not in any way afraid to express my beliefs, but like I said in that post this is a e-cig forum. It was a direct answer to Chiefs question. It is also why I suggested people google it, because I didn't want to quote scripture here, and those who were interested could look it up themselves.

Heck, I don't want to come here and read political or religious posts. But I do love reading this thread, and about you all.

Good Morning Everyone BTW,

Holly, I have a question for you!

Based on your comments, I ordered Cantaloupe and Watermelon from WL. Been sitting on my desk unopened for almost a week (no real time to mix). What were the recipes you were doing? You can PM me if you want.

I also picked up some Cherry and Maraschino Cherry if you have tried those. I absolutely loved their Cherry Blossom, but it melted my clearomizer tips. Too bad. Didn't touch the tank itself.

So far, out of the 20 or so flavors I have tried from TFA only 2 are working for me, RY4 type 1, and Cinnamon Red Hots (man that with menthol......wowza).

Everything else I use is from Capellas.

I usually mix one flavor at 12-13% and 2 flavors at 10% for the dominating flavor and 4-6% for the more muted flavor,,,,,

so if I am doing cantaloupe alone,,,,,,,,I'd go 12% cantaloupe.

if I'm mixing cantaloupe and watermelon,,,,,,,,,,and I want the cantaloupe to predominate, I mix cantaloupe at 10% and watermelon at about 5%,,,,,,,

I usually try flavors alone first,,,,,,,,,so I can see how strong they are,,,,,

LOL, I once made a cinnamon peach (sounded good in my head) at 12% peach,,,,,,,,4% cinnamon,,,,,,,

yeah, all I can taste is cinnamon LOL

I have more time on my hands than I should and posted the poem "The Night Before SI Christmas" in the Funny Pages Section, if anybody wants another laugh with Saint Imagine coming to your house.

Your creative juices are really flowing today, White Rabbit! Well done.

Okay - EVERYONE . . .

I am not going to take any sides here, for many different reasons . . .

However - The most important one reason is that - THERE IS NO SIDE TO TAKE . . .

What has been happening World Wide with the massacre of innocent lives is without a doubt absolutely horrific and unacceptable for anyone be you religious or not . . . Nor just because it happened in America or is continuing to happen through out the WORLD . . .

And as you all may know by now, I am very apposed to limiting anyone and their way of expressing themselves here in Chit Chat . . .

However, IMO - this discussion about religion and the ethical and/or moral grounds about what has been happening is going to possibly get out of hand . . . Might I suggest very strongly that - NO ONE take a Higher ground about who is right and who is wrong and we change the subject or at least limit it to our collective grief about all the innocent lives lost . . .

Just a thought and especially so that NO ONE gets their feeling hurt because of a very sensitive subject . . .

REMEMBER - Dicussions about Politics and Relgion, especially when they are about "Who is Right" or "Who is Wrong" never lead to anything positive - nor does it accomplish anything in the long run . . .

Well said Uncle! :thumb: I totally agree.

Hello Volties!

I just had to let everyone know. Today is my 3 month anniversary of being totally cigarette free! :)

congratulations1.gif

OMGosh! 10 days - I've missed 82 pages! LOL!

Just poppin in to say hello again! Hope all is well with everyone! Just 1/2 day packing fruit on Monday ... Helping my brother some w/ cement.

I have two co-workers interested in trying the Ecigs! So the lil '78's will be out for a while! I'm glad I picked up a few more samplers to share!

OMGosh! Has anyone else tried any of the NEW USA juices? I love the Smoothenol! The Lime was a nice change of pace too! Hmm - forgot what others I have now! Take care all -

Smile a little friends !

Two hours into my first day of work as a Wal-Mart greeter, an ugly woman came in with her two kids. Hearing her swear at them, I said, 'Good morning, welcome to
Wal-Mart. Nice kids, are they twins?' The mom answered, 'Hell no, they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7. Why would you think they're twins? Are you blind or stupid?' I replied, 'I'm not blind or stupid. I just couldn't believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day, and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.' My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work!

I back read a little ... LOL! Thanks for the giggle!

Regarding the other discussion ... of the tragedy ... my dad always said the quickest way to end a friendship was to discuss politics and religion. That reminds me: P - o - l - i (Poly) meaning "Many" + tics ...

Have a good evening!

ETA: Congrats Joann! Before long you will blink and find your approaching a year! Woot Woot!

I lurk off and on when I can and feel like I miss pages and pages, too. This thread moves pretty fast sometimes.

(I was pretty sad today because of the shootings. Been crying off and on. My grandson is in kindergarden. He's my love. I can't even imagine the pain those families and that town is going through! :( I appreciated reading everyone's comments. It was comforting somehow.....I guess just discussing and being sad / angry / confused together.....kinda felt like a hug.)

I've tried the new Niquid and just put in my third order for it. I love the Sinnabun and Biscotti. Love the Apple and the Strawnanna Smoothie, too. Good stuff! :)
