Question - if your battery starts to go kaput, does the pass thru option still work fine on the X2's?

Plug in the cable and try it out. The blue light will glow on the end like it is charging. Then try to vape. If it won't vape, no harm no fowl.
Then wait about 20 minutes to give the battery time to get a mini charge and try to vape again.

I have been using the passthrough all day. I stopped vaping for awhile and the blue light went out. I just disconnected and vaped for awhile then plugged it in again.

:facepalm:The party at Stonehenge England said this was not the end of the world, but the beginning of a new age of peace and tranquility (insert everybody starts to VAPE, SI goes public, we all get to buy stock at a cheap price and it increases in value so much we all end up rich).

At the very least, our small community in Voltville has already entered the age of peace and tranquility, vaping ourselves into a new world free of cigarettes. Praise the Volt :toast:

Rave, if you talk to Blues, let him know we're all sending him our best thoughts, prayers and vibes.

I'm not talking with him directly yet. Just passing messages through his friend because he can't get the net in the ICU; but I'm telling him that everyone has him in their thoughts and prayers. That really did touch him.

Driving while being in an emotional state is dangerous. Please let someone else do the driving. I know from experience!
Please keep us posted. My thoughts are with you.

Now - you compound that with not being able to feel the pedals in the car. I have virtually no sensation in my feet from my MS. I do drive because I know where the pedals are, but, but, .... yeah. Not a good scenario. And, I'm having trouble with walking. Even a cane isn't keeping me reliably vertical.

Rave, I wish I were there with you...or that you were here with me, cleaning MY closet!
Seriously though...we would so be on the road right now...

Now that would be a road trip!! We would have a great time together. I would bank on that!

Over here on the west coast of michigan the wind is howling like crazy making it feel cold as anything, but only about an inch+ of snow.

We had 60 mph wind gusts here last night. And snow. And it got really, really cold. Not the best of combinations. Here in the woods, the trees were roaring.

Lizzie - I feel your dog's pain. I had a Min Pin that was an epileptic 6 of her 11 years. I was spending upwards to $250.00 a month for her meds. She was a chronic epi, having multiples a month. If Penny gets worse, you can try Keppra. Bad thing about that med is that it has a short half life and you have to give it to your dog every 8 hours. And it has to be compounded. It might be in a pill form now, but my dog was 7 pounds and there wasn't a pill small enough for her. Of course there might be newer meds out there as this was over 6 years ago when I was purchasing it.

Hugs to Penny!

Keppra is good for seizures. I take it myself - in pill form. It helps me tremendously. Plus, since it's not a NEW med, it may be less expensive. That might be a good thing to suggest to the vet for Penny.

Well if the battery goes, doesn't that just mean it wont hold a charge? you should still be able to draw power throught it though right?

Someone needs to test this.

i understand if you short it out it fries any power capability, but I would assume if you just run out of charging cycles, it would still work.
I assume it's like a phone, i have many that the battery is dead on, but if i plug them in, and keep them plugged in, i can still use them for contacts.
No, I don't think it has the internal circuitry to do that. When you're vaping, you're drawing power from the battery, which gets a trickle charge in between hits when it's plugged in. Try letting an X2 deplete all the way and try vaping from it plugged in. It won't let you until there's a little charge in the battery. You'll have to wait a couple of minutes. But I'll let you know for sure in about a year!

Raven and Tail - I'll bear that in mind about the seizure meds. One reason I went into sticker shock is that phenobarbitol is one of the oldest drugs in the market, I think, and potassium bromide is only used for pets since it is so old of a drug it was never tested for human consumption with the FDA. I was thinking like $50 so when she said "$84-how would you like to pay for that?" I was like "Really, it's $84 because I thought it was supposed to be inexpensive to have Penny on these drugs".

Like I said, Penny is really doing well on this drug combination so I think we'll just hope it keeps working.

If the medication is breaking your budget, consider ordering from this company. Home page - Thriving Pets I get Penny's pergolide there (she's my horse, and she has Cushing's, something a lot of older horses get), and their price for that drug is very reasonable. You could always call them and ask what their price is, and compare it to what you're paying. I get my vet to fax them a prescription, then call them and order over the phone with a credit card. I don't pay for fast shipping, and they send it first class, but it gets to me very quickly. Of course, I order well ahead of when I'll run out, just in case.

I hope for the best Lizzie. I had Nipper on Phenobarbital and Potassium Bromide at the start. She just progressed, needing more meds. Not all epi pups need more meds and usually those two combined do the trick. I hope for Penny's sake that she will do just fine and not require more.

I totally understand about the cost for these meds that have been around forever. The testing for them were done years ago but big Pharma keeps gouging and gouging, while our goal is to keep our loved ones comfortable.

That's rough, Tail. It's hard when the animals get sick but I am very happy that so far Penny is doing well on the meds. The $40 bucks a month isn't a deal breaker for us even if we are really practical people. Penny is the light of my life. She makes me laugh everyday. Those short little legs and the nubby for a tail and the big ears are enough to make you smile but when she gets the toy to paly - well, it's time to laugh. She's hysterical when she is throwing the toy and cornering and killing the toy and trying to get your attention with the toy for you to throw the toy.

Last week I laid down on the couch to take a nap and she was bopping me with the toy from head to toe along my backside, certain she could get me to participate in playtime if she was cute and/or annoying enough. So of course I started laughing and threw it for her but "just one time".
