Good morning everyone!

My news today may be kinda boring to most of you, but I'm so excited about this. Due to my last blood work showing a higher than normal level of blood sugar I have to watch carbs. Last week I made a loaf of bread from almond flour and really liked it. It's not the same as bread made from wheat flour and yeast as almond flour can only be used for quick breads, but its pretty tasty.

So I ordered and received a book for baking with almond flour and today the supply of it I ordered will be delivered. By also substituting the sugar, I'll be able to make bread, pancakes, cupcakes, etc. without a high carb content. Not only are almonds low in carbs, they are also very nutritious. Ahhh, healthy and guilt free food that tastes good! Gotta love it.

May be I should have clarified that. - I have often thought of my vaping equipment as a pacifier! Some days it's constantly in use. Don't always like the flat tips w/ manual batts. One more thing to do. Line up with the button.
Haha. Here I go again - for Christmas I got a "horse head" drip tip - which requires lining up. Since it's kept bedside the tank doesn't get empty as often!

While I love the mini vivi nova - it has it's down side when out & about. That's where the clearo's shine (along with a rubber band to keep it from slipping off the Latigo.).

Off to meet the furnace repair man - and make sure all water faucets are off before turning water back on for the new owners moving in to our house this weekend. Fingers crossed there are no broken lines some place that didn't drain before the sub-zero weather set in. So thankful we weren't there w/ a house full of foster kids!

Have a great day y'all!

The tip on the T3 is a little big, but if you look at the T3 overall it is in proportion to the tank size/length, at least to me. A flat tip would be nice though, but it still would be hard to hold without using a hand.

Especially on a 1300... I have to be careful when I'm getting ready to take a hit.. so I don't poke my eye out.

I also do the low carb thing but for a different reason Marlou. In the frozen bread section of high end grocery stores look for Ezekiel 4:9 bread. It's made from sprouts and doesn't have any carbs but it must be kept frozen and comes in several varieties from Flax to Sesame and Raisin bread. I buy Stevia in the Raw in large bags and use it basically the same way as sugar for coffee and baking. It takes a little less but it's a natural product from a plant and once you get used to the amount to use it doesn't taste much different. Overuse produces an aftertaste. I luvs me some Almond Milk as well. A very low carb diet while undergoing cancer treatments actually starves out a lot of the cancer and can regulate a number of other common ailments.

Marlou - try the Udies Gluten free bread. It's the least "glorified baked wallpaper paste"! Try to focus on low starch veggies & be sure to get enough protein! You're going to be amazed at how much better you're going to feel! Use Whey protein shakes in between if you get sugar cravings. So much more I'd love to share. Best advice : Google." Pharmacist Ben " You Tube or gcnlivebcom go to the archives to listen to his podcasts. Yes he promotes a specific supplement brand but the wealth of information is incredible.

oh this dropping to 6mg....my heads aching...eyes are sore.....im hanging in there......so I needed the laugh....cheers:laugh:

There's a much easier way to cut from 12 to 6mg. Buy a bottle of 12mg and a bottle of 6mg or 0mg and either do the math to cut the 12 to 11mg or 10mg. Get used to that for a couple of weeks then cut it 1 or 2mg per mix until you get to 6mg or keep going until you zero out. Much better than a large jump imho. It gives you the same control as the DIY folks often use. One mg a month until the nic is gone.

Sorry Kico! I was messing with you... being BAD this morning. ;) I only use the flat tips with the autos so I don't have to worry about lining up on the manuals.

Have a great day and don't work too hard! :)

Sitting down, facing forward.

My wife and I both have to watch carbs. She does take metformin and I was supposed to when I was diagnosed as diabetic but opted for trying diet control first rather than taking another medication, besides I had to lose some serious weight anyway. We use mostly whole wheat everything when it comes to anything with carbs in it. We both also did a lot of glucose testing at two hours after every meal to find out what foods made our glucose run high. By keeping careful records we were able to find and eliminate or strictly limit the foods that give us the most problems. Everyone is different and I am always amused when someone tells me they have been diagnosed as diabetic and can't have sugar. It's not really the sugar, it's the carbs getting absorbed too quickly, but Doctors and most people still seem to think that sugar is the culprit. You can still have sugar, just not as much and not as often. Moderation is always an important element.

Another trick is to watch the GI index of foods. Sugar is rated at 200, if I remember correctly, as the highest GI index while things like sweet potatoes are down near 100. Breakfast cereals are another trap to avoid since they are highly refined grains with lots of high GI index carbs. Generally, anything with refined flour or wheat products are things to eliminate, restrict and avoid.

Thanks, Wuzz! I made note of that and will look for the Ezekiel 4:9 bread. It's always good to have alternatives and variety.

I've been doing a lot of reading about foods. It seems a lot of our problems are that our food isn't what it used to be. Processing methods, over processing, additives, etc. have made what used to be nutritious foods actually harmful to us. I don't expect to live forever, but think that eating right just might make me feel better while I'm still here. :)
