When I first graduated high school (a long time ago) I started out studying programing. I loved flow charting but hated actual programing lol. When I switched my major to sociology I thought my dad was gonna kill me :) (never did get my degree until years later because I decided to get married and have kids). So when I did finally go back to school I decided to get the degree that had little programing but allowed me to help others with their computer issues. I really like it because it allows me to use all my strengths - understanding computers and software along with helping and teaching people.

That is so wonderful that you found a way to use your strengths and stay in the computer field! I kinda did the same thing! After I left programming (with my tail between my legs! lol) I got a wonderful job at a small software company taking calls for orders which was great because I was still able to make money by staying in the computer field but this time I was able to talk to people and answer their questions about products, etc. which is what I like too! Helping people! Confession: I was never interested in computers then or now! I just got into it because it was supposed to be "the" growing field to get into(this was BEFORE the internet came out!) and my boyfriend at the time wanted to go to DeVry so I tagged along!:p

lilac - Sending up a prayer for you and those under the Tornado Warning!

malyden - That job was many years ago though! I haven't worked in a long time! I remember it with fond memories though! It was such a wonderful little company with great people! :)What's funny was that when I was at DeVry the classes I loved were psychology and sociology! :D How awesome that you have a degree in sociology! That major must have been sooo interesting!!

Well considering that I too am slightly OCD (my meds seem to help keep it under control) when I'm home I usually sit at the computer, I do some research for my work (I'm a computer help desk technician - takes a bit to keep on top of everything), play some games, watch some movies and read the forums.

What games do you play, Malyden? I like Mah Jong and Bookworm. I do jigsaw puzzles at the Charm of Light and Jigzone.

Well I use to play a lot of the facebook games but my OCD wouldn't let me sleep so I finally had to say no more facebook games at all. Now I'm stuck on Wizard101, I keep telling my kids don't introduce me to any more games online!

...whew! Just got in from watering all of my plants! With 'winter' long gone down here, I'm having to make up for the lack of rain. The heat is causing all of my plants to want to go ahead and bloom early, but our rainy season does not offically start until June 1st. So if I don't make up the difference, I lose thousands of dollars in plants!
But at least I get to look at all of them, and it's very relaxing. And good exercise too. :)
Lilac and Jay, anyone else up in that horrendous weather-keep us posted if you can. We all want to know you're alright!
Jay1, can you remember if you became impatient when you placed your original order and might have pushed the
'purchase' button twice? This will cause a double order. Just bringing it up so it may jog your memory. No matter what, I'm sure they will straighten it out for you :)

Some of those facebook games will really do a number on someone with OCD. There is one that tells you each day how many consecutive days you have played. Can't. Stop. Playing. Now!!

:p I ended up putting it back in my cart rotation - for the next time I need a nasty surprise  I just hate throwing these away but if the next time I try it and it's still that bad I may just have to

Have you ever tried washing your cartos? I did it twice. The first time it revived the carto so that it was like a brand new one! the second time I tried it on a different carto the carto died! It's worth a shot though if you want to throw it away! I hate wasting good ones too! :D

That's certainly not one of the worst ones to watch though! :DI watched it a couple of years ago when I was exercising and working on losing weight and it really inspired me!
