Don't panic yet. I bet there will still be a way to get vaping supplies. Yes, they might be taxed, and yes, they might be more expensive, but I have a feeling it's not all just going to shut down.

Besides, you're in Australia, so as your friend advised, you could probably order directly from China or some other country than the US.

Hope everything goes well, Sandy.

I remember having an upper GI series many years ago. They gave me something to drink in two small, maybe 4oz cups and I thought "no big deal, this is a piece of cake!". Then, in the xray room there was a technician at a milkshake machine mixing up four of those 1 quart cups for milkshakes. Yeah, it all got used up, tasted like nothing I want to taste again, and the kicker was they kept telling me to "hold that swallow" as I drank the stuff. How the heck do you hold a swallow?

The FDA is yet another example of a committee in action - more than one belly and no brain. Committees are used so there is no direct responsibility for any of their actions. Great system!

Awsum,I don't know how you hold a swallow either. What I don't understand is HOW the FDA can regulate something they know nothing about or did I miss something watching that conference they had back in Dec? IF I did miss something, then I have to ask where the medical research data is proving that e-cigs are bad? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but basically what I'm seeing is the FDA being "pushed" by pharmaceutical companies and the tobacco industries to act on e-cigs b/c they are losing money.
FDA says there needs to be standards set for health safety. OK I can buy that, then why don't they be fair about it and regulate pharmaceutical companies? IMHO,if your going to regulate something and set up health standards then be fair, have plenty of medical research data and know what your talking about. That makes sense doesn't it?

I knew Tylenol could harm your liver, but I thought that was if you drank alcohol while taking it. I took a lot of Tylenol when I broke my arm. The doctor said not to take ibuprophen as it hinders bone growth. I sure hope my liver's OK. Would I have symptoms if it wasn't, or will it just give out someday?
The safe dosage for Tylenol is NTE over 3000mg/day. I didn't mean to scare anyone but just to give an example. Regular strength tylenol is 500mg and extra strength is 650mg/pill. You are fine Sandy,no worries. It just ticks me off that such a dangerous drug is sold OTC and is advertised as "safe".

Debra, the FDA isn't going to shut down vaping. E-cigs is a money making business they are just trying to figure out how to get their piece of the pie and TRY to make it look as if they are concerned about the health of the "people"

The reality is that they already have the data. Polyglycol, vegetable glycerine and nicotine have been studied to death for years, going back to the 1920's or so. PG and VG are already "generally regarded as safe" by the FDA. A recent study by Canada showed that PG had no measureable effect on monkeys or lab rats at almost "saturation" levels after months of continuous exposure. Nicotine, in low doses like cigarettes or vaping supply, is acknowledged as similar to and no more harmful than caffeine in its effects. The only logical motivation for this effort to regulate vaping is based on money, either income for the Government or income being reduced, by vaping, for big tobacco. Sure, nicotine can be poisonous at higher doses, but so can weed killer, bug spray and a very long list of other common chemicals found in most homes today. It's a scam for more money and an effort to control what we do, nothing more, nothing less.

Good Morning, Volties.

8 degrees outside but a toasty 73 degrees and rising inside:)

Time to haul a big bucket of hot water out to the goats and the horse. It was a beautiful sunrise this morning with the wispy clouds turning a brilliant pink. Another day to stay inside and pretend like I got something important done.

I think I'll go through my supplies and do some refills on my tanks and a little DIY. I've been meaning to do the blueberry and the juicy peach.

Guess we're having a heatwave now - it's up to 28 degrees. But it must have been really cold last night since our pipes froze for the 1st time this year. Nothing burst thank goodness. We have heat tape on all the pipes under our mobile home, but guess it just couldn't keep up. We placed some lamps & electric heaters under the cabinets, and water is once again flowing.

I made a bunch of new DIY flavors today. I'm vaping on Apple Pie right now, and it deserves an OMG! It's scrumptious. I also made Honeydew, English Toffee, & Cheesecake. Also replenished my stock of Buttery Nipple, Watermelon, Pineapple, Juicy Peach, & Pear. I think Juicy Peach has become my new fruit favorite. To me it tastes like a fresh peach, not like candy.

OK Folks, Here is Debra and Alice, direct from OZ

Debra gave me the OK to post her picture along with Alice. Now you can see the very attractive person from across the Ocean.

Wow, Debra, you're a cute little  bender. And Miss Alice is adorable as well. :D

Tried to upload a picture of the group but it will not display correctly. I see that the other pictures that people post are linked, rather than posted. When I try to post my collage of everyone, it posts rather small. Maybe I'll try a link.

Well... I'm still on all my medications. My cholesterol meds have been reduced but not discontinued. He wants to check my cholesterol levels by reducing my meds slowly. As for my blood pressure, it was slightly elevated. Not as high as in the past, but too high for him. I explained about having a rather upsetting day yesterday, but he felt that staying on my BP meds is the best thing for now. At least I didn't add any pounds. So that's that I guess. Will have to return to him in a month.

Another winter photo. This is at the end of a day of ice fishing on Sodus Bay. That's a bay off Lake Ontario. No, I wasn't ice fishing, but I went up there and saw people who were. It was a warm day for February, and I was amazed that the ice was still so thick that people could walk on it, much less drive vehicles on it as some did.

Thank you, White Rabbit. That's what Rave did a while ago, and I had asked her to do it again, but I think she's not up to it. It's really fun to see everyone. I hope more of you post your photo so White Rabbit can add it. WR, I hope when they do, you'll tell us again what the link is so we can go check it out.

I'm sorry to hear your results weren't better, but next month, maybe things will be. Till then, you can work on it.

It must be the day for not getting total satisfaction. At the physical therapist, she spent the whole session assessing my back, and now I have more exercises. She didn't have the x-rays from after the operation and hadn't spoken to the surgeon. Maybe by Thursday, when my next appointment is, she'll have more info on the arm.

Sandy, look at the positives! You're making progress, maybe not as fast as you want to, but it all takes time. Think about how long it took to get everything out of whack. Improvement, incremental though it may be, is good and positive progress.
