I like the regular cartos a lot. I just got tired of refilling so often. The tanks like the T3 are nicer for me. I got the Vivi Nova for the Provari and I liked it enough to get a few more.

Sometimes it is a relief to be vaping a cute little Volt with a carto but for lots of vapor and no hassle with hauling tons of batteries around with me I'll take the T3 and the X2. I guess I am glad I can have options:)

Rave, do you have software to create jigsaw puzzles from photos? That sounds like fun.

I know Angry Birds is all the rage, but I'm a die-hard Mahjong fan. I have several versions of it, & I play almost every day. Other than that, I'm not really into video or computer games that much. I think it just stems from spending so many years sitting in front of a computer screen all day at work. So it was the last thing I wanted to do when I got home. Well, that has certainly changed now that I'm retired --seems like I spend a good portion of every day at my computer.

I've decided to skip on the Volt Spinner for now. I had already ordered a vv before SI made the announcement. And the only reason I even bought it was to try to get some kind of satisfaction out of the T-3s. And it does work for that. But the T-3s are really too big for me, and now I find myself using plain old cartos more and more. They're simple. They're easy. They're cheap. No fiddling. No mess. So round & round in the circle I go.

Yeah, I have a Mahjong game on my devices, too. I am on my computer all day at work (wish I could retire now!) and my computer is so slooooow here at home I think that's why I like my devices so much. I don't have to sit at the computer. I have a real cheap smart phone. Watch the sales. Metro PCS just put their LG motion on sale with a rebate I got it for $50. Its alot like my ipod touch....and my kindle fire. Plus it can hold 5 gig of stuff. My old phone kept running out of room even with a memory card in it. So this was a "have to" buy. I use my phone for everything. My shopping list, my calendar, the weather, my email. I have tapatalk for the forum but it's not the same and you can't "like" on it. I like to use the "like" function here because it's a way to participate in the conversation without saying anything.....especially if you don't have anything to say. :)

Well, I'm drinking my second cup of coffee and then it is time to get out there and get some work done. Today is a "permissable burn day". I need to fire up the hedge trimmer [which I wisely brought inside the house on the way in from feeding the critters so it would warm up and be easy to start]. Whack down some more Saskatoon grasses and trim up the chocolate flowers and irises in the last flower bed in the backyard, rake and burn.

It is warming up pretty quickly so hopefully it won't be too cold out there.

If I feel really ambitious, I still need to finish the East side flower beds and rake and burn over there. We shall see.

Have a great day, Volties.

Here is one of my favorite funny videos - the quality isn't too good but it is FUNNY:laugh:

Blind Date

yeah...well.....I think guys tend to have a different sense of humor about stuff sometimes. LOL
My husband downloaded one of those fart apps and laughs.....I just smile and say hmmmm.
Or then again....maybe I'm the one with the weird sense of humor. :p

Yeppers - Here's the link: Download of the trial of BrainsBreaker with free jigsaw puzzles. Mac and Windows versions

I believe that there is a free version on that site, but I also paid them a one time fee of $25 about 10 years ago for the full version. :)

Skippin' the Spinner too. I've got one VV batt, and really don't feel a need for more.

Here's one of my favorite fall flowers: purple asters. Rave, I bet this would make a difficult jigsaw puzzle.

IMG_0006_zps142d3721.jpeg

I went out to the barn early this morning to meet the hoof trimmer. No one was out and about yet at the farm, so I went out in the pasture and brought Penny in by myself. I took my dressage whip with me, and when one of the horses, King, came toward us like he might interfere, I waved the whip in his direction, and he promptly backed away. Penny had plenty of mud on her this time, and it was dry and/or frozen, so it was easy to remove. Well, fairly easy. It loves to cling to her long winter coat. I use the shedding blade on the dry mud, since it scrapes it right out of the hair. That works better than the rubber currycomb on the large, plastered-on mud. I noticed some rain rot or scratches starting on her legs around the hooves, so I rubbed most of those little granules off. Now I'm home again, catching up here while cooking macaroni & cheese for lunch. I discovered the secret to it is to add some powdered mustard.

Lexi has a playmate for the weekend. He weighs about a third as much as her head!

She's very tolerant ...... even though he's already stolen her pillow.

Little dogs can be so bossy. I have a mini daushound that bosses around the staffordshire terrier (very large). And what is a hoot is that he listens. He could take one chomp and goodbye doxie!:laugh:

Wow. That would make for a challenging puzzle.

I've had this happen to me, too. You get a new computer with a new OS, and your old games don't work. Sometimes, they will upgrade them, but sometimes they won't. I never did find Tetris for my Mac, but I found similar games. I Googled games for my OS and then read the descriptions. Often, they let you download and try them for a little while before you register and pay for them. One of my favorites with my old OS was Firefall Arcade, which they didn't upgrade for my new OS. I was so addicted to that game that I wondered how I'd exist without it, but I did. Now I have Majong Solitaire, which is popular enough that it comes in many forms, so maybe you can find it for a PC. I have something called Mike's Arcade, which has a number of games like the ones popular in the '80s: a version of Pac Man, Q Bird (which is like Q Bert), and some shooting games I don't play much. I really like Q Bird. I also have BoxXikon, where you stack squares and they disappear when there's a lineup of 3, trying to not fill up the board. Another with the same principle is faster, Descender. Downfall is another similar one. I know these aren't the high-tech games people play now, but they are relaxing and just my speed. Actually, I got so into Q Bird that I started some self-analysis based on how I played the game and what personality traits prevented me from being more successful. I even wrote up my little Q Bird philosophy:

1. Be careful. Don't be impatient or hasty, or you won't last very long.
2. Live within reality. Don't base your moves on what you want to be true but instead on what is.
3. Each board, don't worry about how many lives you still have left. Make every move count.
4. Don't start a game thinking, This time I'll make the high score list. The pressure means you usually won't. Just start playing with no preconceived notions or plans about what will happen.
5. It's OK to establish patterns that usually work, but if they don't this time, it's imperative to break out of the mold and try something different without delay. Don't get so hung up on doing things like you did last time that you can't change if those patterns won't work for this game.
6. When you start a game of Q-Bird, don't think about a different game you'll play next. Play Q-Bird now, and then you can switch games. If this is impossible, quit Q-Bird and play the other game.
7. Don't get so anxious to land on that one last square or egg that gives you an advantage that you forget about the worms and lose a life. It might be your last life, and the game will be over.

This is the best gameplaying analogy that I've ever read!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in northern California! It's supposed to get a little warmer, so I promised Whisper I'd air up the tires on the bike and take her to the dog park this afternoon. Even though it's just a few miles away, it'll be nice therapy to get on the bike for both of us.

Don't ask me for help, I need all the help that I can get.

I am hoping that my new flavors like Waffle, Strawberry, Double Chocolate, and Orange will make a juice I can finally LOVE:thumbs:

I have never been a fan of waffles. My mom would make them a lot for the family. Even though it was pancake batter, I'd always end up making pancakes.

I went ahead and bought the Provari. So now I switch between the Provari and my X2s. My Volts I use when I am shopping at the grocery store. I don't vape in the store but I do vape all the way to the door:)

The Provari is nice and very advanced but then you have to have new hardware for it too so... I guess I'll never stop spending money on my new hobby:)

Provari's seem to be the top of the line. They do have a lot of functionality. I don't know if my tastebuds require such a powerful device yet. Perhaps one day.

I vape all the way to the doors of establishments too. Since my city has a regulation of not smoking 20 feet to any doorway, I'm waiting for someone to say something to me. :)

Sounds like you have some good classic games. Which ones do you have? I've been trying to find one of my favorites, the classic Tetris games but not having any luck. The game I had was too old and would not play on my newer pc's... what a bummer! Now I play Bejeweled and Bejeweled twist. They are my current stress-relievers. Would like a few more of this type.

I saw some kids at Christmas time buying a retro Atari console. If you go to Amazon and search on retro atari console you can see it. I love bejeweled. I have it on my smart phone with Angry Birds. I'm hooked!

Me Tooooooooo:toast: I can go about a week refilling my cartos, then clean them and start again. Still on my first box after 3 months

I'm still doing cartos, especially for work. I have a usb passthrough in my work truck and so I use carts on it. My taste buds are finally attuned to know when the cart is just about out of juice. I cannot tell you how many I burned up, not realizing when to stop vaping on them. I really like SI's XL cartos. They are much easier to fill and last a very long time!

I like Mahjong too.. until I had eye surgery on my right eye.. even now it is sometimes difficult to differentiate the patterns.. so I had to give that one up. Sudoku is another fav game, all different varieties. Even the old fashion book with pencil... and EXTRA erasers!!

No. I only played Zelda, the adventures of Link. Didn't know there were others. I didn't get into "gaming" per se...just certain games. I was into playing the kids Aladdin when it was on Sega. Loved that game, too. And of course that Blue hedgehog character....Sonic!! :p

That's how I got started playing these games... because of my kids. They started playing them and were having so much fun and kept telling me to come and play too. I was not at all interested and at first would just sit and watch them play. My mind was only thinking about all I had to get done around the house but they wanted some of my time, so I just sat and watched. They were really good then slowly I started helping them with working out a strategy or giving advice where to look for hidden objects. Before I knew it, the controller was put in my hand... "find it mommy". They created a monster!

Do you mean to say other people have done this? Have they analyzed how game behavior reflects human behavior? I'm sort of interested in that, since it occurred to me. I mentioned it to my brother, that computer games really teach us about ourselves, and he said I was more introspective than the average person, that he didn't think other people made the connection.

My version of mahjong has different tile designs and different backgrounds you can choose. Some I find hard to see, even w/o eye surgery, but I chose ones with fruits and vegetables and a background that looks like pale blue sky with wisps of cloud. Mine also plays classical music while you do the game. Of course, you can turn the music off, if you'd rather not hear it.
