It't the opposite for me, I got into ECF, but then I found Facebook. :D

I admit, I did go away for a while and spent more time on Facebook. I had to quit vaping before my surgery, though, and kind of felt like I'd be betraying everyone if I stuck around. I have learned my lesson, though.

Is it? I have a Facebook page, but I rarely put anything on it. I like to check in on family and friends. I know, I need to contribute, too, but if nothing interesting happens, why tell the world? Last post, I showed them the Watkins Glen photos, which I shared here, too. I have a bunch of photos on there but don't often add new ones.

You are still seeing a lot of old ones that I took long ago. For instance this sunflower, which I plan to say good night with and will post now, though I'll read to the end of the messages posted as of now and add comments before I sign off. But isn't this sunflower different than the usual? I had to get a shot.

Actually, I have many friends who will post recipes and weight loss surgery patients who post what they've ate for the day, when they're going out for a run or to the gym, and then when they're back home, yada yada. I tend to post funnies, like I do here, and some political things. My latest thing has been posting about ridiculous diet products. I mean, come on, a weight loss perfume?!? I have my family blocked from seeing what I post, but I can still keep up with them. After my one cousin made fun of what two vapers looked like in a picture I posted (not that they were vaping, but what they looked like) and my Aunt was hounding me about vaping (she's anti-tobacca and anti-ecigs), I made up lists. Although, I deleted the cousin, as she's only one by marriage. Those cousins are stuck up and don't talk to me at family functions anyway. I'm only friends with my Aunt because I want to keep updated on my uncle. She's a fake, does things to look good. I sent her an article about foods with nicotine in them and that she should advocate for people to stop eating them. No response, though!

My point exactly! I could never deal with stuff like that. Noooo thank you. I'm not management material, but I'm too independent to be a great worker bee either. So, I was at my best self-employed.

I'd love to be self-employed, but yet I yearn to get out of the house and be around people. It's a catch-22!

We all came back because you were here, Raven. If you leave this thread, it will die a quick death. :) I'm happy that everything went well for you today. Keep up the good work, my dear !!!

I'm leaving too, it's getting late here on the east coast. Goodnight ladies and gents, see y'all tomorrow. :)

Good night to you, too, Jerry! Maybe Deb'll come on and I can type my little fingers off again! ;)

Hiya SandySu!

I'd hate being a Manager, Tina. I'm waaaay too much of a soft touch. That doesn't work too well in a management position.

Right. I had that problem, too, when I had an assistant. I was great at teaching my assistant the job, but if he or she slacked, I had problems with getting him or her to get back on task. I got to choose my assistant, so I tried really hard to get a person who was on task without nagging, but it didn't always work. Then there was a lot of office politics I just didn't want anything to do with, and since I was doing a good job and very efficient but not playing the game, it seemed my position in the company suffered. I had this silly idea that if you did a good job and worked hard, that was all that was necessary. I never got used to the idea you had to dress in a certain way or make nice with certain people to get ahead. Then I went freelance, where only the quality of my work mattered. But I now have no freelance work. I think with the tight economy, people are assigning what little there is to people they like and know. Fortunately, this was slow to happen, and I was eligible for Social Security by the time the freelancing stopped. And, with no work, I panicked, so I got a job at the catering company. Now, since my arm broke, I'm more into actually retiring.

"Make nice with certain people."

Yea, know that one, SandySu. Hubby's a good worker, but he's not a brown noser. That's why he's been passed over so many times for a promotion. He's even feeling like they only interviewed him to make him stop nagging them. *sigh*

Just had to post this picture. My dog, Milo, and cat, Loki, have this "Love-Hate" relationship going on. This is one of their "love" moments! ;)

love-hate.jpg

Good night, everyone! Rest well!

PSST - Loki really looks like he's into being used as a pillow! :p

:looks around: I see you, Rave! Good morning! Don't worry I won't bite! ;)

Trying to wake up the hubby to see if he'll take me to Wally World. I need some color printer ink to print out school documents. Also just want to get out of the house before it gets too warm out.

Getting vape mail today! Woohoo! Also a fishing tackle box to hold our vape supplies in! We currently have a small three-drawer plastic drawer chest, but I wanted to get more 'serious' about storing my vaping supplies. Got the idea from someone in a Facebook group.

I hope that the compartments come out in some of the trays, though.

Hope everyone has a great day! BTW, SandySu, I stole that picture from Facebook. Don't know who took it. It just reminded me of all the beautiful pictures you post for us! :)

It's flattering for you to say so, Jerry, but this thread has a life of its own empowered by my wonderful friends here. It'll never die. At least, I hope not. I was gone for quite awhile not so long ago because I was so depressed over my Bluesman. He encouraged me to come back here to my friends. He knew that, in the coming months, I would need to be with you all. And he was right (as usual).

I see you too, Tina! Good morning!! Waving%20smiley-happy059.gif

LOL - Wait until you've been vaping for nearly four years, Tina. I have an entire kitchen cabinet to hold just my backup supplies and flavorings. The majority of my PV's have stations in every room.

And I stole the picture that you posted from you. It'll make a fantastic jigsaw puzzle.

Yea, I think by then I'll be able to get the pink toolbox!

Yes, it would make the perfect jigsaw puzzle! I remember my grandmother would put some really pretty ones together and frame them. She actually sold a few. Wish I was able to get one from her but I think most of her things were given away when she moved out of her apartment into a nursing home. At least I have my great grandmother's rosary beads that she gave me, somewhere. :(

Well, I am going to get ready and nag the hubby to take me on my shopping trip. I love browsing Walmart, but he hates it! Mainly because he works there! LOL!

See you all, later! :)

PSST--do you make your own puzzles? I know you can do it at various photo places like artscow or shutterfly. Maybe even Walmart.

Thank Blues for sending you back to us. Send him our love, too. I hope he's doing OK.

Coffee is on!!!!

Let's see.

SandySu love the sunflower

Jerry - Nice to see you here.

Wabbit - Como esta? Fun that you are learning a new language.

Raven - Yeah, so glad to here you and the doctor didn't have to duke it out over meds and that you are doing good and don't have to see the doctor again for six months.

Tina Puppy and kitty are cute. Cherry blossoms look pretty

Q, Nuke, Wuzz, Zero, FlowerSoul , Catlady, JoAnee, the list goes on - Good morning to you all.

I am wiped out from yesterday but I think I will do my best to get the rest of the grasses switched around to new spots. I am thinking maybe the new improved island could use some pretty green tall grasses. That would be 6 clumps out of the back and moved somewhere else.
