Dripping is meant for the old atomizer setup, not a cartomizer like we use. You drip a few drops, vape a few minutes, drip again, vape a few minutes, repeat repeat repeat. How convenient huh? :glare: Fine to try out some juices without filling up a whole carto. But I just can't see spending the whole evening doing that, and certainly not outside of the house. But the advocates will say it gives a more pure taste, blah blah blah. I didn't fuss when I smoked (take out of pack, light, smoke) and I'm not gonna fuss now (take out of pack, screw on, vape).

So, "dripping" is not the same as a "drip tip" and they aren't really related?

I think they call it a drip tip because when you drip, you can remove the tip easily, then stick it back on for a nicer vape. Next time you place an order with SI, get some. They are so cheap, it's not much of a risk. Now SI is about to come out with other colors than just black, and I'll be sure to get some of those. I like the feel of the soft rubber. Some others are made of harder substances, and I've never tried drip tips before, but I think this texture has to be better than something like glass or ceramics or metal. Another advantage is, if you are worried about germs, but someone is curious and wants to vape your battery and carto, you can use a fresh tip for them. Again, they are really cheap. What I like besides the feel is that you don't get juice in your mouth -- and e-juice is nasty stuff -- and I think they make the vapor better. I guess you can tell I'm a big fan of them.

Amen to that! That's why I decided I wanted a nice easy two-piece setup. The less stuff I have to replace and work with the better.

I'll eventually refill my own carts, but that's as far as I'll go I think. If I fill my own, I can mix stuff up and invent "YellowUnderpants" flavor (patent pending) and become rich and famous.

Hmm, that sounds like a good idea. I've seen the drip tips, but they look like they'd feel rubbery in the mouth. Think I'll try one anyway.

Sorry, I did a crash course of dozens of vaping sites and tons of definitions and descriptions in two nights and not a lot of it seems to have stuck. Except that I figured out what I want for a setup to start with. I thought that was all I really needed.

I know the feeling. I went through it, too. When someone suggested I try electronic cigarettes (her son vapes), I thought there was only one brand, but then she said, "Be sure to get the good kind." She didn't remember the brand name, but that led me to believe that some kinds were better than others. So I searched out info, found ECF, and from the newbies' forum, the Volt. I think we have "the good kind."

Yeah, the looking around part sucks. Well, the spending money on stuff you don't want part sucks.

The only reasons I'm even trying SI and not giving up are:
--I'm stubborn
--I stumbled onto ECF somehow and there were some good things said about the Volt and SI.
--The website is nice and clean and easy to navigate, plus there aren't dozens of different kinds of setups. Not terribly common with e-cig sites I found.
--SI has there own little place here, so they do care about customers
--The people are nice here, so could the product really be that bad?

I'm grumpy, sore, and hungry. Had to have a cyst thingie removed from my eyelid today. Happily I have tomorrow off too. I want to pig out on comfort food, but I'm trying to lose some weight and don't want to undo the good I've done lately. I'm sick of fruit, veggies, lean meats. I want a *&@% pizza. :glare: with extra cheese.

Did you try vaping the pizza flavor? lol

Also, there are zillions of flavors out there. I just started filling cartos and I'm having fun trying more tastes than SI's 3 sample packs. But getting the sample packs was a good idea. It let me try a lot of different flavors without spending a lot. It was simple, because the cartos were prefilled. Now I have blank cartos from SI and I'm amassing juice from all over. Even before mixing your own flavors, you can combine flavors from 2 different bottles in one carto. I had a cappuccino carto that was about half used up, and I dripped chocolate liquid into the top. Yes, I can do that when a carto isn't empty, but I used "the condom method" when filling a blank carto. But later for all that. Next order, get the sampler packs you didn't order yet and try all SI's flavors. Even if you don't like most of them, it's an adventure. And I found that ones I felt a certain way about one day, I felt very differently about on another day. Maybe I'm fickle -- a lot of people find a favorite flavor and stick to that -- but I love vaping different flavors, not all one flavor in a single day. I used to have several batteries going at once, each with a different carto on them, but lately, I've gotten into my manual battery and just keep putting cartos on that one.

I say have the *&@% pizza! How many times does one have to endure getting a cyst thingie (eew, gross) removed from their eyelid? Then you'll get it out of your system and you can go back to boring food in peace.

...dang, I'm loving this Bananas Foster! :p

But, Sandy, I can't try all those weird flavors after making fun of them last night!!!

One of the batts I bought was a 510 manual. I kinda like it. The only problem is that it's black and so is my desk. Sooooo, every time I put it down I can't find it. Of course, I ordered a black one from SI. I think maybe I'm a masochist.

 You're crazy, Ron! Now you're gonna have to bling it out with the diamond ash cap and hot pink drip tip.
