I was doing everything I could to bite my tongue and not say anything. I did really good. I just thought it was me being super sensitive or something since no one else was saying anything. So I did what I always tell my son to do.... walk away and vent later. LOL

Sorry I made you Vent.

Can someone tell me what RY4 is SUPPOSED to taste like. I was under the impression (I don't know why) that is was a rich tobacco taste. I'm trying some right now in VG and all I am getting is a spicy taste...maybe clove?

I just vaped my SI RY4 to have a good description. Yes, I'd call it a tobacco flavor, though not straight tobacco. It has other flavors in it like maybe caramel. That's more in the aftertaste. Maybe you could call the flavor cloves, but I think of them as spicier. Other companies may have different-tasting RY4. I have only tried SI's and Highbrow's, both of which are similar. Highbrow's has a bit more of a tobacco taste and a bit less of that caramel aftertaste; it's not as sweet.

RY4 is tobacco with Vanilla & Caramel. That is the classic flavoring of all RY4s, some companies add their own spin. But SI's is the classic blend.
555 is tobacco with Nut. Not sure which, but I think it is hazelnut, maybe a combo of nuts.

So since you said you got a VG version of RY4 you got this from someone else, and their blend might have added a spicy component. But that would make it an RY4 variant.

Thank you for your answer, SandySu. The one I have is from Blue Mist. I can't detect any caramel at all...just that clovey taste. I'm guessing there is a difference depending on the vendor.

Thanks, Starsong. I use ONLY VG, so sadly, I cannot get juice from SI. This is from Blue Mist and honestly, not very good. It is overwhelmingly spicy. Caramel and vanilla would be great.

The only RY4 I've ever liked has been SI's. A rich tobacco with caramel and vanilla undertones. Everyone else's tastes ... different.

I do believe so, Rave. Everyone's description of RY4 sounds so good, and that is not what I am getting at all.

To be fair, Blue Mist has some flavors that I find appealing, but not this one.

Seems strange but when i go outside of the house, for example at work the tastes are different. I have no idea why.
Generally when i'm outside.

Hmm ... I never noticed that, so I took the SI RY4 and gave it the test. I vaped inside, then went out on my porch and vaped it. The difference is slight enough that it might be my imagination, but I think it was a bit milder outside, but the aftertaste was stronger.

Ry4 is way too sweet for me to vape all day.. some people compare it to the taste of caramel. It wasn't spicy at all too me.

Lilac.... as others have said, RY4 is a tobacco flavor with caramel and vanilla. Each vendor has their own take on it, so while all RY4s are similar they are also slightly different.

Since you can only vape VG you might want to check out highbrowvapor.com. and read his description of his RY4. He offers an all VG option on his liquids. You can also email or PM him and he will customize the flavor to better suit you. I have his RY4 in an 80pg/20vg mix without any customization and I really like it. But taste is subjective.

It's too bad you can't vape PG, because SI's RY4 is very good. I just have some other RY4s because I love the flavor and having different varieties of it.

Lilac, although I haven't seen him in a couple of days, I'll bet that Wuzznt could answer this one in earnest.
I vape it, and it does remind me of a slightly sweet and rich tobacco. The nicquid is darker than some others, and the
taste is yummy-that is, if you already care for the tobacco flavors, which I do.
With that said, I think Wuzznt is still going to be able to go into more detail than I am, having enjoyed them longer and tried more vendors than I ;)
*Note: I taste absolutely no spices at all, and don't think I'm supposed to? (Another question for Wuzznt) Mine is tobacco taste. If I could name any other additional flavor, it would be caramel.
Is your carto clean, or could you have accidentally used a spice nicquid on it earlier and the taste came through? It could also be that particular vendors recipe?....hmmmm

I just reported how Highbrow's RY4 compared to SI's, so that can give you an idea. They are similar, but SI's is sweeter with more other flavors, which I taste as mainly the caramel. I don't detect vanilla in either, but maybe it's mixed in and that's what makes the caramel not taste just like caramel.
