I cannot disclose specifics but they will be 3.6 regulated ... and have a detachable passthrough

the manual option will have a 5 click off feature so you can have it in a bag without it misfiring... and a few other things...

I was having the same thoughts on modifying a battery to work both ways a passthrough and normal batt.
What are the SI's specifics for those batteries? What did you requested from the manufacturer?
I still can't find dead batteries for experiments, seems that i have to sacrifice good ones.

You can use extensions but with a THICKER extension cable to prevent voltage drops and losses and your PSU has to be able to supply a bit more than 1.5A

I would say the vapor hits like the first hit off of a brand new fully charged battery every time.

Hmm ... Maybe I'm dense, but my batteries seem to work pretty consistently, right up till they die. I thought that was how these batteries work, rather than fading away. However, when my raspberry died the other night, it gave a really strong hit right before that, sort of like how a person rallies right before they die. I think I never had that happen before because I often just put a battery I'm not using into the slider's recharger when it hadn't died, just to be sure it's charged. Then I started using the raspberry manual a lot because I was filling new cartos and didn't want to drip any juice into my unsealed autos. Then I got liking the manual, so even if I didn't need it, I was using it. Since it's so long, a 78, and I use a drip tip with it, it doesn't fit in the slider, so it stays home. I guess I just never thought it would give out. Luckily, recharging was all it needed.

Do they use a power management IC with automatic battery switch or is it a microcontroller?
Linear Technology has some interesting chips ideal (and very very small) for power management on those devices, i use them on my projects too.
They have also integrated step up or step down converters.
Unfortunatelly i know you cannot say anything :(

Seems like a nice idea tho, if you need help testing/evaluating new things count me in :)

Anyone has dead batteries for sale? I'm willing to pay up to 50 cents for each one :D

Sandy, remember we were talking about that just the other day? And I did take your advice, and use the drip tip with all of them now, batteries and the passthrough. It is better, and I've made several posts about how I thought I'd hate those things. But, like you said, I ended up really enjoying them!
*By stronger, I do mean everything you mentioned. The TH, the vapor, and it lasts longer. But, I also found out that it's easier to 'burn the carto', so it's a learned balance. I really like them. :p

I'm glad you like the drip tips. I'm so thrilled with them! I really wonder how they make the vapor better. Does it collect inside them or something?

My theory is it's because the drip tip condenses the vapor into a smaller stream. Sort of like getting more pressure from a hose by using a nozzle that converts the water flow into a small, more forceful stream.

Okay Imagine - There is a serious problem with this Chit Chat thread as opposed to the original thread:

With this arrangement, I don't feel the least bit guilty for chatting instead of Volt talk, and I can't escape the computer!! Is there a support group somewhere?

How about a Support Group Thread?

Did i say that wrong?
You have to excuse me for my English, i learned the language from TV and the internet. I'm not the brighest.

But i can speak the German language perfectly if you want :D :D

Your English is very good. I'm impressed that you could become so fluent from just TV and the Internet! I envy your talent for languages!
