The idea of RF scanning is very old i guess and you don't even need RFID, researchers in IBM labs have made copies of sim cards (phone sim cards) by intercepting signals the sim uses to communicate with the phone (around 6,54MHz), by tuning onto this frequency you are able to get the raw data like IMSI of the device (10 digit number used to represent your real number) and the Ki (the actual password your card uses to log into the network).
Simply: The data inside the chip is encrypted and you cannot read it, the communication however and proccesing is not and guess what is inside your cards, (with RFID or a simple smart card) a microcontroller with memory.
IF some wants to get your cards depends on how much money and tech he has, you can block the RFID but it may be difficult to block other frequencies.

Greetings from a poor guy who doesn't have chip cards :D :D :D

They can. It's the metallic strip on the back that their *hand scanners are able to read. The use of aluminum foil (or the aluminum lined wallets they are discussing) is what stops/scrambles them. Just make a little aluminum pocket Rave, and stick them all in there for now ;)

*I see Konstantine is here, he's much more technically efficent and has described it much better than I Rave :)

Hehe! And how sure are you that your ALUMINIUM foil is tuned on those frequencies? Is it grounded somehow?

Hello all my Voltie friends! I just wanted to drop by and say hi!!! I have a 510 passthrough (wish it was a Volt passthrough! :)) and I got a 510 to 808D adapter for it so I could use my Volt cartos on it and they are soooo good on it! *Good decision!* Have a great evening! :D P.S. The 510 PT I have is 4.2 volts.
