I get the juice taste with drip tips, too, and my thoughts were the same as yours, Wuzznt. It seems like "build-up" in the drip tip to me.

Since I've decided that I CAN vape PG, I got in a supply of SI's prefilled cartos and am having fun trying out the flavors. 555 is delicious, IMO. Cowboy is okay. Chocolate is good. Vanilla is okay. Classic Grape is a little harsh for me, for some reason. RY4 is good. I still have more of the sweet sampler to try. 555 is the best, definitely...I love that nutty flavor.
Guess I'll be ordering 555 refill at some point. I have a goodly supply of other juices and my CC can only take so much abuse.

Had that prob with mine too at first,
In fact, the first time I used it back when they came out w/the black ones, I wound up w/a mouthfull of juice (not terribly pleasant LOL)
Seems if it's pushed down too far it draws the liquid up....doesn't happen on all of them, just the ones with the filler closest to the top of the carto. On those, if it is too much of a prob I just use the delrin (?spelling) tips instead.
Also have though about taking a razor blade to cut down the inserted part....

Jeesh - We had fireflies last night. FIREFLIES at the beginning of April. Weird.
Well, not much goin' on here today. Dave's gonna do some yard-not cleanup, which means: more firewood. Not that we need it.I've been removing old paint from the deck to prepare it for bed liner. Sounds crazy, I know, but I guess a lot of folks have great results with it in very moist, woodsy environments.

I miss the fireflies, we don't get them here
We get very few most summers. I think it's not hot enough for them. On the other hand I bet AZ is too hot for them. I guess you don't get many bugs there. I heard of a horse that came to our area from AZ and was horribly plagued by gnats, no-see-ums, whatever you want to call those little biting bugs that so many horses are allergic to, and finally the owner sent the poor mare back to AZ after trying all sumer to heal the sores on her belly.
Oh, we get bugs! getting worse all the time. Keep in mind that I'm in Northern AZ..ranges between 4000 and 7000 ft above sea level.
Used to be that the mosquito's were almost non existent, but the past couple years, they've been much worse. Not so much in Flagstaff, which has never in the history of record keeping for weather, ever even reached 100 degrees. But just a bit lower in Sedona, last year was way worse. Used to be I would go a whole season w/out being bitten...unless I went to Phoenix (too many pools breed them), but last year was horrible!
Where I am now in Camp Verdy, it's near a river and has an irrigation system, but a poor one, so it just grows the mosquito's and bitting flies....far too many.
We just don't get the pretty bugs like fireflies, not too many butterflies either. And the Honeybees have more or less been taken over by the africanized killer bees. Happened even here in our backyard.

I'm sorry to hear you get bugs like that, I guess I thought of all of AZ as one climate, hot and dry, forgetting that the mountains can change things.
Things are great here, especially since I'm riding Penny again after 6 months off. I was fortunate to have Heather to hand walk her every day till now, when I was given the go-ahead to ride. We're starting slow, since both Penny and I are out of shape. I'm hoping Heather will be a new riding companion, though we have yet to figure out which of her mom's horses will suit. Heather isn't all that experienced at riding, though once today, Penny started cantering, and Heather handled it with only minor fear. The other horses haven't been ridden all winter, either, though I did ride King a couple of times. I just wasn't into riding another horse, I'm so attached to Penny. I don't have her trained to perfection by any means, but she's so much better than most of the other horses that I'm spoiled.
Everyone does, I used to drive a taxi, and pple would get off the plane up here in T-shirts in Jan, had to take them to a store to get a coat (not everyone LOL);
And strangely, most of the bugs are down south (in the warmer..HOT HOT HOT weather)...not up in the mountains. People say it's due to the pools and man made things that allow the water to lie stagnant, only been a prob up here in the last 3 years....
So glad to hear that, and I'm sure Heather will adjust. It's difficult getting to know the new horses, but (IMHO) essential for a good horsewoman....you never know what will come up
And as someone mentioned earlier...she doesn't look too bad on Penny. (wondering why her mom hasn't let her on the other horses?)

Rave, your post about the Sodastream was so interesting. I hadn't heard of them. Yesterday evening I did a lot of research on them on the web and I'm thinking of getting one. I like soft drinks, especially colas, but drink the diet versions because of all the sugar in regular pop. And I found that the mixes for the sodastream diet drinks have less sodium and use Splenda instead of aspartame! Two big pluses. The convenience of making them as needed is appealing too....and cutting down on plastics going into landfills. The flavored water and DIY recipes would be great too. The last, but not the least, reason for me to get one is that I love gadgets!
I'm so glad that you're interested Marlou because I'm convinced that it's the best choice for Dave and I. I won't drink diet drinks either because of aspartame, but SodaSteam's are really good. Of course, I went all OCD and got soda flavor concentrates from Prairie Moon (which have a wonderful, wide variety) and make my own clear syrup to add them to. I have a Lazy Susan on the counter with all of the varieties and we're constantly trying new combinations. I grew up with cowboys on TV walking into a saloon and ordering a sarsparilla - never knowing what that tastes like until now. Another thing that I learned how to do is to make soda syrups from flavored teas. Celestial Seasoning's Raspberry Zinger is fantastic! I still like the flavor and convenience of SodaStream's stock, but enjoy the variety of going beyond that as well.

That ain't all either. It was free shipping & I live in Texas panhandle, not close. My old company took 2 days just to pack the order.
