I think it's leftover vapor in the chamber that liquifies in the tips and builds up. On a manual battery I keep pulling for an instant after letting go of the button. It's a little trickier on an auto but with practice pulling gently (lips not tightly sealed around the tip) after the draw without activating the switch does work for me. And every once in a while I forget and sip a little juice lol.
I get the juice taste with drip tips, too, and my thoughts were the same as yours, Wuzznt. It seems like "build-up" in the drip tip to me.

I've been removing old paint from the deck to prepare it for bed liner. Sounds crazy, I know, but I guess a lot of folks have great results with it in very moist, woodsy environments.
