I think we can can be whatever we want to be about what we like.

I've experimented some, but I like the straightforward performance you get from the X2 and cartomizers. A lot of beginners get recommendations for EGO/KGO devices, and these are probably very good suggestions. However, the regulated 3.6V on the X2 is a big selling point, and SI's customer service and responsiveness are second to none. I think the ideal setup for a beginner who wants the opportunity to begin and end with one PV would be a starter kit with:

X2 batteries (2): Option of color & size on both with PT/charging cable and 1.5A wall adapter
Cartomizers(5): Option of current SR or LR (2.0-2.2 ohm) (pre-filled) OR blanks plus 2 x 15 ml e-juice - selected flavor(s)

I think even more people would become SI customers for life (and a lot have already)!

This kind of starter kit should certainly be added, in case people want to start with something bigger. However, I notice that most people just getting their first e-cig want something small that looks a lot like a cigarette, and they want a tobacco flavor just like what they smoked. It takes people a while to realize there are other flavors they might like and to get more experimental about what they use to vape. If beginners are getting something bigger than a cigarette-sized e-cig, I think it's because people in the newbies' forum insist that's what they should get. That happened to me, but I stuck to what I wanted: a cigarette-sized e-cig. Granted, I branched out pretty quickly into other flavors and realized that I could never really replace the flavor of a cigarette, nor, soon, did I want to, but I still like vaping something that looks enough like a cigarette that people won't wonder and stare. If the little batteries need to be recharged more often, so be it.

I do love my X2 battery. I'll get another (or 2) when more colors are offered. But I won't be seen in public with it. The normal Volt (78mm) looks like I'm just fiddling with a pen, so I blend unnoticed when at the store, at a restaurant, at work, at the airport, etc. But for at home or a long drive, the X2 is great.

Hmmmm... I just thought of something. I never had a USB port in my car until I got this new one. So can I plug the X2 into that?

I feel exactly the same. The thing that attracts me to Volts is that they are simple and discreet. These new, bigger e-cigs and clearomizers and all the other stuff just seems to be on the road toward mods. You know, bigger, better, weirder, more innovative, etc. Can I have become a vaping traditionalist so early in my venture into e-cigs?

Same thing here Sandy Su. I already had the Egos, Rivas, Box Mods, etc. when I found the Volt. Vaping wise there's probably not much difference in a Riva 3.7V with a Vision CE4 and an X2 with a clearo. Aside from the quality of the device and carto plus SI CS which makes the Volt a better value. Aparantly they still require some of the maintenence and fiddling I bought Volts to get away from. My 78s and Volt cartos are still my all day and go everywhere devices and SI's DJ and 555 are still my primary juices. I still fill all my cartos and charge the batteries every night which is minimal. Takes about 15 minutes to fill and screw batteries in and I'm done. I get up, harvest them and put them back in my case and out the door. All part of my routine like shaving and brushing my teeth lol. I've still got my other stuff sitting on my desk and after dinner enjoy a dessert vape like Butterfly Bait on a higher voltage mod but if I leave my desk my Volts are what go with me. The SI juices are perfectly matched to their cartos and batteries but stink at higher voltages lol. I equate screwing a new carto on a fresh battery a couple of times a day to being about as much trouble as opening a pack of cigarettes so longer battery life doesn't impress me that much.

I made me a neat little holder for my X2 in the car, but when I go in the store - the 78mm is in my pocket... I bought the stainless X2 and it will stand out and is just to bulky in my shirt pocket for me..., but the X2 vapes better... I know they are both 3.6v, but the carto on the X2 and the 78's do not vape exactly the same - same with the clearos. I can taste a difference - mild difference, but still a difference... I still like them both... And when I win the contest I will have enough batts to last me a long time D)

The kit for the X2's is a great idea. I would rather of bought that than piece meal my order...

I was just wondering that today when I went out and about. I have the regular Volt passthrough in my car for use with the car chargers. I plugged it into the usb port to see what would happen. It worked, but it didn't seem to have as much vaping power as when I used it with the car charger, so I decided to stick with the charger. Hm, the usb port in the car might work just for straight charging of a battery, though.

Tina you have to be the biggest "Liker" on ECF. I would bet that you have the personality all bubbly and smiles to go with it also...

I think it would be cool to have an X2 kit, but I would definitely list it after the regular kits. I'd like to see one more kit added to the other kits, called the Volt Xtreme Kit, that has all the fixin's of the the premium kit, but throw in the X2 and a clearomizer and a bottle of liquid - and change the wall adapter to be the 1.5A. Yeah, that would up the kit price by $40-$50, but it would be worth it for a total - Xtreme - SI Volt package kit. After that kit, list the X2 kit, with one X2, a clearomizer, a pack of carts, and a bottle of liquid.

I agree with SandySu that a new person likely still wants to start with a regular 808-style battery (SI's Volts) before jumping right into the big batteries, for the familiarity if nothing else. The big batteries are for the next step, after finding out whether this idea of electronic cigarettes is really a viable option for helping to quit the tobacco cigarettes. The big batteries are for the fun after the switch, if one intends to continue with the vape after quitting, or for an extended period of time in one spot without having to worry for recharging right away. I always found it rather difficult (and to some degree a turn off from ecigs) to be recommending big batteries to new persons starting as well, as a big battery doesn't replace the ritual associated with smoking and I found I needed that ritual of the holding of, and the hand to mouth of, the cigarette to help me quit. The big battery is for the times I'm able to stay in one place and vape without consequence. It doesn't work as well for on the go or heading out into the elements to get to the smoking area, if necessary. That's just me, though, the mileage may vary, as the saying goes.

You ARE a bad boy! But, yes, I found it. I have a whole kitchen cupboard devoted to just my vaping and DIY supplies with lots of drawer units. Everything is painfully organized. Nanner nanner nannnner!

I won't hate you 'cause you're beautiful, but that organization thing is hard to take.

Now I've been trying to think of what to do with clearos when they need to be discarded, they're too pretty to just throw away. Maybe gut them and start a collection of miniature bottles? Put tiny artificial fish in them? Lay them on their sides and put tiny ships in them?

Marlou, if you could attach them to each other somehow, maybe fill them with flowers and make a nice arrangement?

I just posted my 10 photos in the spring contest. They are from all sorts of years when I went crazy taking pictures of spring flowers, but of course the first one was of Penny in the spring. At the barn where I boarded her then, there was an apple orchard, and in the spring, it was full of blossoms, so I led her over there where she feasted on the extra-tall, not-grazed-down green grass. In fact, it was hard to get a shot with her head up, but I finally got one with a mouthful of grass. She looks so much younger then! I didn't realize how much she's aged till I revisited that photo!

It snowed here last night! We had hardly any snow all winter, and now we get more than the winter snows. I wonder what this will do to all the spring blossoms. These are crabapple trees and a redbud.

Oh WOW! Those pics are beautiful! We've had a few hard freezes here after foliage and I've seen little effect. The only new growth that seemed to wilt and brown were fresh leaves on my mulberry trees.

I think this is different. Some hackers appropriated the DNSs of many computers and when they were caught, the government took over those DNSs, but they will stop in July, so if your computer is affected, you will lose your Internet connection. I'm not real clear on the details, which is why I referred folks to a site explaining it.
