Because of my diet my wife has been restricting my sweets lately. I have had to settle for banana pudding, blueberry, fig, and apple tarts, blueberry and apple cobbler, and fig rolls... Life is so rough sometimes (LOL)...

Just to add - all made with low and I mean low calorie in mind, but still delicious...

Good point - I don't often visit Denny's (I'm a classy Waffle House guy) This is a perfect segue, especially since you are in Plant City, to ask if you prefer strawberries over biscuits or shortcake?

I prefer cake, but strawberries covering anything and smothered with whipped cream will find a friend in me

Oh biscuits for sure,,,,,,,, but like you, if it's covered in strawberries and whipped cream, I'LL EAT IT!!!!!

Good Morning All!

So we're on a food kick, huh? Oh you folks are evil! Here I am trying to watch my girlish figure, and you're making me think about food.

Cindy - It's Nutella on pretzel sticks for me, but only a few or I can't stop myself. That stuff has special powers.

Proudlion - The talk of strawberries and whipped cream has inspired me to pick up the ingredients for one of my special strawberry cheesecakes. They are light and fluffy and creamy rather than the normal heavy type of cheesecake. My David once told me that he only married me for my cheesecake (and my tiger). I employed them a lot when he was on chemo. Haven't made one since then. Maybe it's time. :)

Rave, your cheesecake sounds scrumptious. When you make it, enjoy and think of all us poor souls who don't have any!:p

Mornin!
Got back from the office, i was out for a horse ride today.
Last time i made cheesecake i used banana flavor from e-liquids lol, banana cheesecake with strawberries.

Cheesecake. Did someone say Cheesecake? My second love - right after Mango Key Lime Pie...

You got me excited semi, I love cheesecake. Now I need to go get some

hum de dum de dum de,,,,,,,,,,,

The Cheesecake Factory Key Lime Cheesecake

1¾ cups graham cracker crumbs
5 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup sugar
3 x 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
1 tspn vanilla
½ cup fresh lime juice, about 5 limes worth (If using key limes or juice, use half as much)
3 eggs
whipped cream

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Combine crumbs, butter and 1 tbsp sugar in a bowl. Stir well to coat all crumbs. Keep it crumbly.

When the crumb mixture seems ready, press the crumbs onto the bottom and half way up the sides of an 8" springform pan. Then, place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Do not turn off the oven.

In large bowl combine the cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla. Mix with electric mixer until smooth. Add the lime juice and eggs and continue to beat till smooth and creamy. Once ready, pour filling into crust.

Place the pie in the oven and bake for 60 to 70 minutes. If top is turning light brown, then the pie is done. Remove from the oven and allow to cool until room temperature. Then, put the pie into the refrigerator to chill.

Once chilled, remove the pan sides and cut. Serve with whipped cream.

CHEESECAKE???????????????????????????????????? I love cheesecake!!!!!!!! I can't wait to try cheesecake e-juice! But I'm afraid I'll be disappointed,,,
If you do, try the Blueberry Cheesecake from Sweet-Vapes first. That's the only one I've tried where you can actually taste and feel the cream cheese goodness. This is one flavor I'm really picky about, and haven't found anything comparable...and I've tried quite a few! (haha, can't afford them right now. That $20 bottle would be gone within 2 days!)
