I don't mind getting rid of clothes but my definition of "good" clothes is a little different than a lot of people I guess, to me "good clothes" means old worn jeans, flannel shirts, t-shirts,old wore out boots and tennis shoes. It took me yrs to get that perfect "fit" and they don't get discarded until they are actually rags or my boots start leaking.

Oh yeah - That's what I'm talkin' about! Jeans and flannels. :thumb:

Re: Raven's Alaskan Adventure

Rave, Thank you so very much for posting your photos and impressions, I thoroughly enjoyed it all! Wow, an adventure indeed!

Thanks for taking the trip with me! :)

By the way, I did fix the links in my Blog on my profile page for those of you that tried and couldn't get through.

That's what I'm talking about. Just can't beat a man's flannel shirt and when they get worn those are the BEST shirts ever.Pair it up with a worn T-shirt and jeans --your in style. That's one style that never changes and nothing more comfortable.

Style, "in stlye", as a guy I could care less about style. It's about what I like and feel comfortable in. I'm still wearing clothes I had as a teenager and, yeah, they still fit with no problem. Give me a pair of comfortable old cutoffs, a t-shirt and sneakers and I'm happy, but it does have to be a pocket t-shirt. How come nobody makes a sleeveless pocket t?

Probably because I didn't provide a link that others could see. [duh]

Let's try this:

Thanks for letting me know that there is a problem. Please let me know if this doesn't work, okay? :)

These links worked for me. Thanks, Rave. That was quite an adventure!

... I seem to be a heavy vaporer [is that a word] maybe it's vaporite? ...
Oh, and good morning everyone. I am going to take my little horsey out for a drive this morning. I better get out there and feed him so he will be ready to go.

I think the word is "vaper."

So you have a horse and drive in a carriage? I wish you'd show us a picture.

I need to get Hubby to take a better photo but here we are on the street in front of the house. Wiseguy is a miniature horse and he pulls a two wheeled cart. The furthest we have gone so far is 4 miles.

Jeesh, Bo is as big as your horse! I haven't gotten him to go four miles and probably won't, at leat not often. He had ACL surgery on his right hind leg when he was about two and we try to limit activity to keep it from bothering him to much. Tell Hubby to get a picture face on next time!

Thanks! He looks cute, and it must be fun to drive him, though I prefer riding.

Hey, SandySu, I'm kind of old to be getting my first horse and I don't know about riding. With the right horse I would ride but...Wiseguy is super cute, easy to manage and super forgiving of my little horse faux pas. He also doesn't eat much and hay is kind of expensive although the rest of the costs are almost the same for a big horse and my little guy.

I just love when he snuffles me for carrots. I call him the adventure horse because he likes to get out and go driving in his cart. So much fun!

Good morning Volties!

Been busy here. I found a way to guilt my son into digging the support holes for the shed/garage I'm going to build. All I have to do is design the house that he wants to build in 3D CAD. So, I've been busy working on that. It's more play than work, but I won't tell him that. I really want to get this framed in before winter.

Gotta ask, AutoCAD or MicroStation?

Thanks! I'd give nearly anything to go back and relive that. The little critter in the tree in the Denali section was a least weasel. Moose are fairly aggressive - especially during the rut. I got treed by one (not in Alaska) and had to spend an entire night in that tree before he wandered off. The moose in Denali are acclimated to seeing people wandering around, and usually don't see them as a threat. Outside of the park: all bets are off! The bears in Denali are the same way, but I still don't trust 'em. I was clawed by a black bear in Yellowstone when I was young.
I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to be attacked by a dog much less a bear. I did get to see a black panther on my way to work a few yrs back. My husband a long with some other locals told me that there were panthers here. I thought they had to much moonshine or something. On my way to work one winter night there it was walking along the side of the road and crossed ahead of my truck and stood there in the road. Rave I thought I was hallucinating so I stopped my truck and got out. My feet wouldn't let me get any closer to it but it was some kind of beautiful.

Ya, Rave--if you've got him diggin' holes, you definitely don't want him to know that your part is more like play!:D
