Hi everyone! I had a great morning. Last week I bought a netbook and had Geek Squad come today to set up a network for me. Yeah, I know, shoulda done it myself but I'm a real dummy where routers are concerned. I was afraid I wouldn't set it right and would get hacked.

This is great. I'm sitting in the sunroom where I can see the flowers on the patio. Darn, I can also see the weeds in the back border. Yeah, they're that big.

But what made the morning really great was the guy from Geek Squad asked about my Volts. Turns out he bought a gas station pv and wasn't happy with it, but really wants to quit smoking. I told him about ECF and Smokeless Image and gave him one of their business cards. I also gave him a battery, a usb charger, some cartos I had filled and a drip tip. He was so appreciative and said he really wants to quit because he has two little kids.

I told him he could start out with the slim batteries and showed him the x2s so he knew there were other options. I may never know if he ends up ordering some Volts, but I hope he does. They get the job done!!!

Should have mentioned your refer code on business card. So if he used it, you would atleast know he is buying stuff and is off stinky. (also earn points :p)

I didn't think of that till after he was gone. Maybe I'll take a couple minutes and write my code on the cards I have. That way I won't forget.

Hello Everyone,

Remember the days when you were in danger of getting smoke in your eye? Well forget about that how about E.Juice in the eye!!!

OUCH my eye has never watered as much and the stinging was immense.

I have a unique way of filling them and I've never passed it on - probably a good thing come to think of it. So anyway I use CE3's and fill with a syringe. Instead of sucking the juice up, I hate that, I take the needle off and pull the plunger out of the syringe and squeeze my juice in to the open tube from the top end. I hold the tube of the syringe between my thumb and index finger while filling. Once filled I push the plunger back in just a touch then turn it round and release the index finger so the air is released which allows me to plunge/push the juice up the tube. Once the juice is at the top I place the needle back on and Hey Presto. It sounds weird maybe but I have found it works really well. So anyway the last time I did it I filled the tube and pushed the plunger in too much, when I turned it round and released my index finger the trapped air burst out and with it a lot a whole lot of juice. Ouchy Ouch Ouch.

I bathed the eye in water and it seems to be OK now. :vapor:

So the moral is never get E.Juice in your eye :p

OK, you guys, you knew about Octagon soap, so figured you'd know this too...

How do you cook dry beans without a slow cooker, and without having to stand in front of the stove for 6 hours? I don't eat meat and don't really like soup, so don't wanna have to buy one just to cook beans. But canned beans, even after all that rinsing, is way too salty for me, so I wanna start making my own and freeze them.

Did you get a good answer to this question, Cindy? If not, give me a holler.

You all have a GREAT day, sorry I wasn't here earlier to help with coffee Lilac but I was out testing out the riding dummy I made for training since I can't ride anymore and getting it "Mom approved". Maybe I've put her fears to rest ,sure hope so.

Riding dummy? Is that like those mechanical horses I've heard about? Please explain more and show pictures.

Wow have had so many smiles reading all the good posts. Officer your story and operation hit close to home, with a family friend that had a similar experience. He is in his 50's and lost nearly all of his lower leg. Getting back on track has taken him nearly 3years. His hopes of riding again were dashed because of the rebuilding to his leg is severly disfigured. Riding is his life, he spent Most of his life since the age of 5yrs old riding, touring and travelling on bikes. Such a tragic story , and his was not even his fault. I thankyou for sharing wih us , you have great strenght and are a strong person. Its true even though events might do the deepest of damage some things are just in our blood. Not everyone can understand why you ever want to go back. Its reall inspiring to read that you still ride today. ( i believe thats a "Busa" in your shed ;). (the devils bike). LOL
Yippee Emma is well , good to hear.
My funny story for you all to giggle at - well i couldnt find my microwave egg cooker. So i used a cup and a little bit of water, just like the other one. Except i couldnt rember how long for......... Every heard a pop and thought what was that? Yep runny egg exploded in the microwave :( What a mess
Twas so excited yesterday my X2 came in yipppeeee, used it for one day and it died :(. Felt like it was the worst day of the week. Off to contact imagine.
Woot Outlaw, congrats on the truck. Like you i have started car hunting again, as i plan to keep this one for another 10years im not lookin forward to having a loan again.
Omg the miniture horse is adorable!!!! Have u got more pics Lizzie
Well better get back to cleaning out tommies tank. I put his swimming bowl back in a few days ago cos he's shedding again and there's bits everwhere this time. He'll take a dip every now and then but he sure knows how to mess it up.
Hello to the newies glad to see ya here.
Hey Tk come back soon!!!

VG, since you probably wouldn't use as much, could probably be gotten reasonably from Wizard Labs, with the other stuff. PG is crazy cheap at Tractor Supply: like $20 for the gallon, and it's USP (OK to use, won't turn you into a cow). Plus, if you're close to one, you could pick it up locally. The closest one to me is about 50 miles away. I'm guessing TK's doing 100% PG right now.

Hmmm...sounds a lot simpler than I thought it would be! :) There's just no way I can go back to paying $15-22+ for 30ml of juice now, so might have to try this. My budget juice places don't carry some of the flavors I wanna try, but the flavorings are really easy and cheap to get...like French Toast! (my new obsession)

So true, ur Credit Score is just as much a predictor of how much money in interest they can make off u, as it is a predictor of how reliable u are with payments. Lots don't realize that.

Man!! I've had a LOT of catching up to do! Y'all have been busy!

Good to see ya again ThreadKiller!

Cindy - There's a whole wonderful section on ECF just for DIY. I only know enough to be dangerous because I started doing it way back in 2009. It was simpler then, but that's the way I like it. Other than SI's nicquids and ECBlends, I make my own nicquids. If I can do it, anyone can! The flavorings that I use most are FlavourArt and Capella's with just a few from LorAnn's. Luckily, I can order any of those all at one time from ecigexpress, so I don't have to pay multiple shipping charges. Have fun with it!

Oh cool! Let's hope you have a chance encounter out and about and he waves you over to say he's been analog free for ___ months!
Now then: What kind of Netbook did you get? I'm in need but makin' sure I know just what I want to do with it befoe committing.
Also - have to wait a while for $ to come in (either closing on our place in Oct or my December seasonal job) ... Trouble is - now I'm really outside a lot more w/ the horses ...

OMGosh! Glad your ok ... Never even gave that a thought ... I was always trying to avoid getting smoke in my nose (sinus)!

Oh how fun! What did you make "Dumby" out of? I was thinking about that after watching an episode of Monty Roberts last week!
I think he named her "Heidi"! Did you you give your's some hair? Monty needed to give "Heidi" some eyes!
I'm going nuts for 2 more days ... there are 3 foals I want to keep (hubs isn't helping it either - he says pick 2) and there's an older 20 yr old I could ride as soon as I get some tack! Must be getting senile - don't want .... full of horse hair ... I could ride w/ just the halter to start. He needs a little more time and TLC in the food dept. to bring him back into shape ... But IF they put a 6 yr old on him ... I should be safe!

I hope you get the older horse. Be sure to have a vet check to see if there are any problems (arthritis and Cushing's are 2 that might happen with an older horse) and if you are prepared to deal with the problems. Riding a skinny horse bareback? Ouch! I think you should get a saddle. Maybe a treeless saddle, since when he gains weight the saddle wouldn't fit him. If you need tack, I just heard about a bunch of ladies that want to sell a lot of stuff, including saddles. PM me if you want the e-mail of who I heard this from. They want to sell halters, saddles, lead lines, etc. They are in PA, so you'd have to have the stuff shipped, and that can get expensive with saddles. Best to get one locally you can try on your horse and return if it doesn't fit (unless it's treeless, of course -- they are one size fits all). Used tack in good shape is always a bargain. I've never owned a brand-new saddle for that reason. Good luck deciding which horses to keep!
