I'm sick to death of it too

AND the paper flyers that show up in my mail box every bleeping day,,,,what a waste of paper!!!

GAAH!

That gave me a chuckle, Holly. I tell Hub, Think of all the trees they killed to send this junk mail. It's the catalogs I get buried with. I must be on every mailing list in North America...yes, plus the political stuff, too.

Lexi's hyper compared to Lucy,I'm lucky to get a tail wag unless it storms then she bays and I can hear her over my air conditioner, then I let her sleep with me,but she snores so LOUD she wakes me up.
All that excitement wears them out. We're too hard on em

Lexi sleeps in my room with me as well - but not on my bed! There would be no room for me. She has a couple of doggie mattresses stacked on the floor because mastiffs often have elbow issues, and don't do well on a hard surface. But, oh maaan! That girl can snore! Her bed is next to the sliding glass door. Last night, she was dreaming and all I could hear was her toenails clicking on the glass until I woke her up.

Unfortunately,,,,,,

I think it's possible to totally ruin an animal. To abuse it to the point it will NEVER be the same, or trust humans, or be happy again,,,

humans have counselling,,,,,,in addition to the possibility of love and affection to help them along,,,,,but even some of them don't ever get past it, IMHO.

Those are the animals we bring to our place. The ones the rescues, adoption places, and animal people have given up hope on. There is no such thing as NEVER.

Sometimes I envy you folks in the "swing states". Living in a state with a "set in stone" voting record is politically boring and we never get to see the national candidates in person. When the outcome is preordained, they don't even bother to advertise and we're stuck with local candidates only, no star power at all.

Although I don't envy the political leaning of NJ being in a swing state is enough to make you give up all forms of electronic media. I pay good money to have XM radio on my bike and in the car to avoid all the talking and commercials. I thought I was safe from the political nonsense but oh no now they a scrolling political ads on the display of the receiver, is nothing sacred? If you haven't made up your mind who you're voting for by now do they really think a bunch of made up BS propaganda is going to sway your decision? if it does they should take away your right to vote . With all the worlds problems it really make me ashamed sometimes to be a part of the process where they throw millions of dollars away on TV ads, billboards, yard signs and scrolling ads on my XM radio! when there are people who don't have money to feed their families and you don't need to leave the borders of the USA to find those people. Ok I feel better now, I'll just go back to sitting on the porch and picking the mandolin... Carry on.
