I have to say, each and every one of you here in "chit chat" are just wonderful people! I totally enjoy reading about the ups and downs, the tragedy and defeat, the uplifting, the photos, and the just plain fun posts. I am a terrible lurker, I can't even remember if I ever introduced myself (I blame the 70's for that). I guess I just felt the need to let you all know that I think you are all great and thank you for sharing so much. I wish I could think of some decent story to post, something, but I'm afraid I am just a boring lurker, lol!

Just jump right in like we do, we're glad to have you here. I know a GREAT story you can tell, tell us about how you got started vaping.
We LOVE success stories and stories of success in the making

I blame the 70's for a lot too - lol! It's okay to stand back and listen in any time you like. I do the same myself quite a bit. It's just nice to know that you're here with us. That's the important part. But when ya feel like joining in, please do so. You're always welcome. :)

Being a little bit older, the saying goes, "If you remember the 60s, you didn't live them." :2cool:

I know how you feel. I want a lime green kia. My husband wanted me to get a dark green taurus. Nothing bad about that, I'm grateful to have a car (didn't get it)....but I want a kia soul! Lime green.
Anyway - you personally see the inside of your car more, so accessorize. Get orange....or whatever color you want...seat covers, steering wheel cover, mats, something cute hanging off the rear view mirror. Then you'll get your splash of color without spending a lot of money.
Just my 2 cents.

That's worth a lot more than 2 cents, in my opinion. I looked for a steering wheel cover at the Dollar Store, but they were sold out. I like them because they protect your hands when the steering wheel is very cold or very hot. I am also looking into some protective floor mats as we live in the boonies and it's really hard to keep dirt off the carpet.

At the Ford dealership they had THE most beautiful 2013 Mustang in Gotta Have It Green in the showroom. If I were a few decades younger, I would have been after that one, for sure.

Oh no ........... Are you telling me that people make an effort to do that? Once again, I fail at normalcy.

I gotta ask-Lilac what has age got to do with getting a "Stang" if you wanted it? My Mother always wanted a Jeep she's 74. Last summer she got one,and she drives it without a top and she looks cool to driving down the road and an X2 stuck in her mouth.
Besides now, think how much lower your insurance rates are compared to what they would have been if you had a Stang in your younger yrs.

We can't afford a new Mustang, so I decided I'm too "mature" for such a sporty car. I agree with you, people should do what they want no matter their age. Good for your Mom.

Never, ever, ever admit to being mature, that takes all the fun out of life!

That's right! And if we are expected to act our age, then why don't we feel like that age inside our heads? I may be no spring chicken (which is obvious by the use of that particular expression), but I still feel like one in my mind. I refuse to act in opposition to that.

Well what you got is a real class act no matter what the color. :)

Thank you.

Just think how long that new car smell is going to last to since you don't smoke anymore. Just enjoy it.

Actually, it's two years old, so it doesn't really have that new car smell anymore, but at least it smells like fresh air and not that "stench" from smoke, as Hub said.

I know a GREAT story you can tell, tell us about how you got started vaping.

I hesitate to tell this, you will all know I'm nuts for sure. This past spring I had the flu or something, really knocked me down like nothing ever had. Even though I was so so ill, I was still smoking my normal amount of cigarettes, hacking and cursing that I could not even put this nasty habit aside when I KNEW it was making things worse. I spent a lot of time sleeping/resting in bed waiting for my strength to return and happened to find an online radio show to listen to. The host was getting coaching on ecigs (Ego, get an ego...lol) from a caller and this planted the seed for me. I didn't do anything right away but google at times over the next week or so, but each time I did I was thinking this might be the way for me to get off the cigs. That is how I found ECF and all the reviews.

Me being me, I was drawn to COLORS, bling, wraps, gems! :D That is how I found SI. Still I did not place an order, I was worried that there was something I was missing and so I put it off until I googled some more. Can't say I understood half of what I read, but I had no one to discuss this with so I just kept trying to figure things out. Ohms, resistance, pg, vg, 510, 808, atomizers, what the heck??

Then I had a dream, in it I was receiving an IM from someone and watched the message appear word by word on the screen. "Have another cigarette Nancy" I knew it was said with sarcasm. Was kind of scary for me. I mean denial only works for so long then you have to face facts, right? Sooo, needless to say, I ordered my volts that day. I made a decently large order too, to kind of force myself to use them, spending my cigarette money.

Needless to say, I made the right decision and haven't looked back. Took me a few days to finish the pack I had open and I really didn't want or need to open a fresh pack. I have to give a special thank you to Rave. I came across a photo of her collection someplace in the middle of my google searches, led me straight to SI!

Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I know it sounds a bit out there with the dream and all, but it is what it is and pretty typical for me, lol.
