It's all good. Better to hear it from me than get chewed out by a mod. :)

Rave, just wanted to thank you again for pointing out the rules. It made me go back and reread them, I remember looking them over when I first signed up but not really knowing much about vaping at that point I had little to no reference of what a lot of them meant. Now that I have carefully studied them I must say if you take them at face value we all run afoul of the rules on a daily basis. I see it this way : There are rules that you just shouldn't violate ever period, there are rules that unless someone is offended by your post and turns you in you are most likely alright and then there are the rules that some Lawyer told them they should put in just in case something bad happens their butts would be covered. Who knew? I was most surprised about the rule that states "any discussion of juices stronger than 36mg/ml is strictly prohibited and any mention of 100% nicotine at all or instructions on how to mix of dilute or links to vendors that sell 100% nicotine are one of the biggest violations. Wow I feel like much more than "good morning, how are you doing" could lead to being barred from the site. Maybe I'm wrong but I would recommend that anyone that hasn't visited the rules page do so before they are shown the door. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-forum-rules/51178-forum-rules.html YIKES!

Good Morning All! Thanks for the coffee Rave. LOVE your paintings!

I have been scanning through the ECF forum for the past couple of days and now I'm curious about trying a variable voltage pv. Mainly I have been looking at possibly trying a Vision spinner. Because most of you are experienced vapers, I would like to get your opinions about this or any of the vv pv's. Do any of you have different pv's? If so, what, in your opinion, is best or is it even worth bothering with? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my SI X2's but... I'm curious.

I almost feel like a traitor to SI for even thinking about this and I love their products. Thanks for any input.

Oh - hey THANKS!

I have a couple of variable voltage devices. One is an XL3 that I got from Discount Vapers. It uses a 18650 battery and is gorgeous IMHO, but they stopped carrying that exact design ... I think. You might wanna ask Eric. I like it, but rarely use it because it's BIG:

Just for grins, I got an eGo Twist. I find that I keep it on the same voltage all the time. So, there doesn't seem to be a point for me.

This is more comfortable for me though than the bigger VV's and simpler to use. I got it from The Vapor Girl. She's also got this puppy in a pink marble. No pink for me though. Oh, and I put the bling on the button. Yeah, I know, I'm such a girl. She also has several other really nice eGo twists for reasonable prices if you just want to try out a VV to see what it's all about. Me? I'd rather just use my Volts. I'm lazy, and they seem to hit the spot for me.

Yeah - I know. But, they have to try to keep things safe and clean, I guess. We do all break them from time to time, but it's best to be on the safe side if ya wanna stay here.

The wind must be doing 60 at times. We are getting scoured by sand.

That poor little horse has his .... to the wind next to his food dish like "I'd eat more if it didn't all blow out of my mouth right away".

This is the type of day where if you had to drive somewhere you could get the paint on your car stripped off. I ruined a windshield last year and had to replace it but the front of the truck had the paint stripped off, too. See why I prefer to just drive older cars around here?

Fortunately, I'm not going anywhere until tomorrow. I sure hope we get some rain. That would help with the dust and sand flying through the air.

This happens fairly often around here but I forgot how much I dislike when the wind and sand are blowing:) It's been awhile.

Safe and clean, what you trying to do give me vapor lock? One or the other I can do but both at the same time may take another visit to my therapist. Ok I'll try but it will take some work... Ok a lot of work, who am I kidding!

Watch out for the Witch on the bicycle! Sounds like you need to get in the storm cellar and hang on...

Well, I don't have much vaping gear at all. I never got into it as a hobby or pastime. Fill a cartomizer with liquid, put it on a battery, and I'm good. Also, I kind of recently gave a lot of gear away.

All that I have now is SI gear and a Lavatube. I do like the Lavatube, although it pretty much stays stationary on a set voltage. I do adjust the voltage to accommodate the resistance of the cartomizer I'm using.

And, of course, you're thinking, "Why doesn't he buy the same resistance cartomizer all the time?"

That is a good question.

The Lambo I just got is the new Lava Tube it even say's Lava Tube on the instructions. I got a bunch of stuff with it and even ordered dual coil and three different Ohms atomizers to go in the tanks, I figure that will keep me busy for a couple of weeks. I have way more stuff than I need but I'm a gadget freak.

Sooooo... what is it about the lavatube that you like if you basically keep it at the same voltage? Does it enhance the flavor of the juice better than a carto or a clearo on an X2?

I just got this last week for similar reasons, I wanted to try a quality VV setup and I wanted the option of having a 510 threaded setup. I read nothing but good things over in the modders forum about the Lambo so I decided to go for it. I have only had it a few days and rather like the tanks, I'm still playing with the VV part so I'm not much of a resource on that just yet. It is a top shelf PV very well made and looks and works very well. I got the kit which is a bit spendy but you can get the basic unit for around $62.00. I have an old Ego VV I got off Craigs List but it is not so pretty and junk IMHO but I only paid 20 bucks for it and it doesn't take the 510 accessories. There seems to be much more stuff available in the 510 thread so that was one of the main reasons I went this route. I still love my X2s and use them on the Bike always but I love to buy new toys. PowerTube - Variable Voltage Ultimate Kit

That's too big (and complicated) for me. Also, WAY too expensive for me. I might look at the twist

To be quite honest, JoAnn, I have the lavatube because it was given to me as a gift. The thing behind VV is that you can tune into the prime voltage for your tastes. It kind of makes sense, because everyone's taste is different. You can also match the voltage to the resistance of the carto, clearo, or whatever.

Personally, I'd rather feed an animal than to buy myself something.

Well, I've been here since August of 2009 and was on a serious quest to find something that worked properly for me. Although many of these have gone bye-bye in The Classies, I have used:

801's
510's (standard atomizer with virtually every atty mod, atty debridged for dripping, carto, tank, clearos, pump carts, smart carts, G3's, etc., so on),
eGo's, eGo-C, eGo-T, eGo mini's, eGo-W (with standard atomizer, cartos, various tanks, Giantomizers, Mini Vivi Nova, DCT, & prolly others),
DSE 901's,
DSE 601 Pipe (for late husband),
KR-808-D's,
DSE 701 Gemini's,
Leo's (standard atty, tank, clearo, and cartos),
Lea's,
GoGo's,
XL3,
Greensound SOLE eLips,
Silver Bullet,

- and finally, what I use darn near all the time -

Volt (65's, 78's, and X2's with cartos, clearos, CE3's & Nano's)

I just looked at the VG website and boy did they have nice eGo twists. If I decide to try it, this will be the place. Gorgeous and very unique. What can I say... I'm just a girl too. :) Thanks for the info.
