You visit Amazon too? They sell everything and have super fast shipping!

I have a Kindle which is my BEST friend and goes everywhere with me. It's not the Kindle Fire but all I want to do with it is read. I took advantage of the Black Friday Kindle book sale today and loaded up! They also offer free books daily. Can you tell that I love Amazon?

I love Amazon. I finally joined Prime -- figured I spend more than $79/year on shipping, so why not.

I still buy physical books, mostly cuz I share them with my sister who refuses to read e-books. But I still buy for my Kindle. E-books are usually way cheaper, and I just don't have any bookshelf space left. Me, too, on taking my Kindle with me in my purse. I have the leather cover with the attached light which I absolutely love -- it really helps prevent eyestrain.

I just bought 6 new books for my sister for Christmas -- wow, found some really good ones for $5 apiece.

I donated soooo many books because I ran out of space. For me, the kindle is the answer because I can enlarge the print and you don't have to carry around a large heavy book. If I had the printed books for all that I have on my kindle, you would see me on that tv program "Hoarders". :)

Mark, that red guppy is stunningly beautiful! We used to raise all kinds of guppies when I was a kid. I loved them and wanted to take them with me to the college dorm, but Mom put the kabash on that, LOL. Thank you so much for sharing those pics. Please share more if you have them -- we love pet pics, all species welcome! :D

Basilor, That guppie is very pretty! It doesn't look like the guppies I've seen at our local pet store. They are very teenie tiny and almost transparent.

I had thought about getting one of those Japanese fighting fish called bettas. They are truly beautiful and come in so many extraordinary colors. Only one can be kept in a tank because they would kill each other. That's when I decided against it. It just doesn't seem right to only have one fish. Are you familiar with those?

Ackkk! I gotta stay away from the computer, should be doing chores before work! Helps that I live alone, so nobody to scold me...

Not trying to get you into trouble JoAnn, but bet you've never seen them like the ones on Aquabid. I think there's currently auctions for over 500 different Bettas right now.

They do either need a very large tank or do need to be kept from other Bettas, however, they can be kept with other peaceful fish. The main danger is mostly other fish nipping their tails. One of the things that make them popular is the fact they can be kept in almost anything, bowls, small aquariums etc. I believe their natural habitat is mud puddles in Asia, so they are pretty hardy. A small tank is much nicer for them, even if it's 5-10 gallons. I have kept them with guppies, mollies, platy's and tetras etc.

Watching them spawn is beautiful. What a dance they perform, I had the luck of being able to watch it in my own tanks once.

Spawning Bettas - YouTube

The male gathers up the eggs with his mouth, and puts them gently into the bubble nest he created. If you take the time to watch, there is so much to see in a fish tank.

Far out so many tanks!! Love love fish. They are so relaxing to unwind with.
I had a fighter- he was blue, but the store sold me a sick one and he didnt make it.
Collecting tanks is almost like collecting volt batteries just a bit more expensive hehe.
Mark please do share more, would love to see your turtles!
Holly thanks to you ( in a good way) you've saved me from coming up with a christmas chocolate treat for work. I make something different each year. One lady cant eat milk choco cos of migraines but the white will be perfect. Yeah going to bring them a bit of USA to this christmas!

Ha! Coffee's On!. There are Blueberry muffins in the basket!
[Now to go back & catch up! Giggles]

Holly. I have to chuckle ... won't be long - you'll be loaning out that auto X2 too!
You didn't mention - are you loosing feeling in fingertips? I mostly go by feel on manual batts.
Who got the last 650.Blue batt??? Blu.my color scheme! [Stomps foot]. :D

Joann - I saved a similar amount! Stalking the mailbox is fun! Lookin forward to tryin some of the new flavors!

I'm going to Home Depot to get replacement parts to fix a leaking toilet....does that count?

I don't think I will ever participate in sales that start on Thanksgiving in a store, just my way of personally protesting them opening on Thanksgiving and making employees work. I work at a grocery store, and we were open 7am to 4pm yesterday. I am old enough to remember stores being closed to honor the holiday and give their employees a day off.

/rant off

Who the heck always tells the 'toilet' / plumbing / electrical that it's a holiday in the first place?!
Ho0e it went smooth!

I got my "Black Friday" shopping done while still in sweat pants, sweat shirt and slippers, sipping coffee and vaping RY4 simply with a few clicks of the mouse. In the "fine tradition" I did manage to spend a little (?) more than I wanted to, but what the heck, Visa has the room! Tomorrow, my wife gets her early present, remote start for her new Civic...Visa will get some more abuse.

I guess I'm a modern "traditionalist". I wouldn't shop on Thanksgiving because of what the day represents, but I love cyber shopping. No crowds and no chance of being beaten with a rubber duck!
What a great gift! I TOTALLY love mine! Hope you got the one w/ feedback to know it's on. Don't forget to use it in the summer too

Ditto. On.shopping - from home / no holiday even if giving away a.car or horse!
So glad I.can help bro w/ cement - to pay for snagged tablet .... this phone is emergency fine ...
Living in sticks.has it's perks ... not too bad shoppin. Tractor Suply! LOL - rode along w/ hubby - usally work black friday
