Easiest way around the bad taste, which is probably because of primer in them, is to flush them with hot water before filling them with liquid the first time. The primer seems to be a hit and miss situation, sometimes CE3s have it and sometimes they don't. Usually it appears as droplets on the inside of the tank. If she's using a manual battery, a few really quick dry burns will help get them wicking liquid when filled. I usually shake them ike a fever thermometer, mouthpiece down, and then "suction" out the remaining water with the syringe which also helps get them going much more quickly. I may take up to 15 or 20 drags to get them going after they've been rinsed depending on how wet the wicks stay.

Another little hint is to use a hypodermic or sewing needle to make the first puncture through the inner seal. Just use it to make the first puncture and then switch to the blunt needle that comes with the CE3s. SI doesn't recommend that, but I've found it helps lengthen the life of that inner seal. If she's using liquids with a lot of sugar or dark colors, it's also a good idea to rinse them every other fill or so. If she's using lighter liquids they only need to be rinsed when the liquid starts appearing dark. Doing that will increase their useable lifespan significantly.

I've finally been able to get my (younger) sister to vape all the time. I do a lot of fiddling for her so she doesn't have to. I'm doing everything I can to keep her off cigarettes. She does like the filler-free vaping.

Cindy, thanks for alerting me to it. Yes, it fits, and I like it. The photo made it have a dusty blue tinge, but it's actually charcoal gray, nearly black, which I like even better. I'm sorry that I forgot who recommended it, so now that I know, a big thanks.

I made a pitch for it in the Suggestion thread a while back, but I guess it's a no-go for X2s. If I had one of those, I think I could die happy, which I'd probably end up doing since I'd have to starve for a week or two to get one!

Ah, so your sweet tooth is about as bad as mine!

Man, I wish I could go to Disney as often as you - but I don't have a sweetie, and I can just picture security following me around since I'd be there acting all goofy by myself!

I haven't been up to anything as exciting as you but I finally finished getting the Christmas lights up on the front of he house. This weekend I'll get the deck done.

Nope, it really doesn't. Does that mean the quality sucks? I don't care - I just really want one!
When it dies, maybe I can gut it and put an X2 in it.

I can't taste cotton, and they don't leak, are easy and cheap to use,,,,,,,

I saw an eGo Twist in the engraved dragon pattern that I really want, and with all the new rebuildable clearo and tank style stuff coming out for them, I have to admit that it's been really tempting. Just have to get a job first, then I'll be branching out right there with you! Glad you like your new stuff.

On another SI thread about the possibility of a variable voltage X2, Imagine popped in and dangled a carrot by saying something like... you never know what the new year will bring... not her exact words but giving the impression that SI may be considering it.

Yep, she has them. She has a lot of pretty ones. But I heard that the paisley ones were just skins (stickers, not laser-etched metal), so don't go for those. I like the swirly ones too, and the luminous one with the jewel at the tip! But dragons first!
FYI SmokTech carries them as well.
