Hi Raynes!!!!!! Hi Sandy Su?? How's the arm??? glad the poncho works well for you!

The arm is coming along, though too slowly for my taste. I wish I could be back to normal by the new year, but I doubt I will be. Still, each day, I can stretch it a little more. Now I can drink from a glass I hold in my right hand and drain it to the last drop. Things most people take for granted, like holding a glass while I drink, are still milestones. It really helps that I don't have to wear the sling all the time. Just having the sling on limits my mobility more than it is anyway.

You don't know how relieved I am, Sandy - WHEW!
I was being quiet about it, just in case.

And yes, that dragon batt really is gorgeous.

I made a pitch for it in the Suggestion thread a while back, but I guess it's a no-go for X2s. If I had one of those, I think I could die happy, which I'd probably end up doing since I'd have to starve for a week or two to get one!

I wonder if someone could make some sort of stick-on design, sort of like a label maker would do if you used black type on clear tape. Where's DM these days? He's a perfect candidate for doing something like this.

Yep, she has them. She has a lot of pretty ones. But I heard that the paisley ones were just skins (stickers, not laser-etched metal), so don't go for those. I like the swirly ones too, and the luminous one with the jewel at the tip! But dragons first! :)
FYI SmokTech carries them as well.
and thx for the compliment. ;)

Cindy... please post the pics of your Volts that you dolled up. I'm sure you still have them saved somewhere. PLEASE?? Show your talent. :thumb:

I don't mind the feel of vinyl on cartos, but it really bugs me on batts - reminds me of sitting on plastic-covered furniture. I think I would prefer actual engraved metal. When I switch to CE3s, I think I'll want a PTouch so I can "tattoo" them. Already looking at transparent vinyl too, so I can have them in pretty colors (passing on the nanos). I'm broke, but I love to window-shop.

I'm a little embarrassed to post that pic, now that I've seen on that other thread what other people have. Really, no big deal.

Morning kids....Debra, you are so much fun, lol. I can just imagine you dancing around to your version of the song! :p

Kiwi, Yes, I loved that car dearly, I cried when I finally had to let it go after driving it for 8 years.

Hope everyone is feeling better today, even if just a bit, it has to help with everyone sending prayers and good wishes.

Hate to admit it here but, I don't like coffee, won't touch the stuff, don't even like the smell. I am all about tea, but picky about that too. I have no problem with the baked goods that float around in here though!

Have a great day everyone, and thanks for the fun posts and friendly atmosphere.

hmmmmmmmmm what's a carto tank?? I think I've heard of them, but how do they work???

Holly, the tanks are not an SI product, and I probably shouldn't name any names here. If you search for "DCT tank" you'll find a bunch of places that have them. I'm not sure, but I don't think I ever found any for an 808 cartomizer. If you buy the longer DCT tanks you'll have to buy the SI XL cartos. Or buy the shorter DCT tank that fit the SI regular cartos. This is what they look like:

dct.jpg

A hole is made near the bottom of the carto and that feeds juice to the carto. You fill the carto with juice and then push the carto into the tank but not all the way. Then fill the tank with juice and finally pushing the carto in so that it lays somewhat flush with the top and bottom. Add a drip tip and you're off vaping. This works best on the manual X2 batteries. A few powerless draws (don't push the button), and you'll get the air pressure right so that the juice in the tank feeds the carto.

This means less time filling your carto and more time vaping. The cartos seem to last longer with this method. As you can see, if you're going to vape this way, you must like vaping with a cartomizer.

I might not have explained all this well. If you have questions, I'll gladly answer them. Also a "DCT tank" search on google will pick up some videos to watch.

There are a number of different ways to put the hole (or two) in the cartomizer. There are a number of products sold for carto hole punching. I just use a 1/4" saddle valve that I bought at Home Depot. Often times the vaping vendors sell you a tank with a dual coil cartomizer. It's kind of a waste because you're not going to use that carto. You're going to be using SI's. If you look, you'll find vendors that just sell the tank and end caps.

I love SI's cartomizers. They are really good. And this gives me a way of vaping with the SI cartomizer without constant re-filling.

I hope I didn't confuse you.

What are you talking about?? I loved what you did with your 78's. Opal did too!! She started using the Volts because of it! Don't downplay your creativity! I was very impressed with it. Ok... fussing stopped ;)
