I dont know that I'd be upfor DIY liquid just yet, but it is something I'd love to get into if the wife permits hahah. is it as simple as everyone makes it out to be? where do you order the nic and flavors from? or do you just mix premixed flavors?

DIY is easy and can be frustrating at the same time. I am doing very simple recipes, but there is so much info out there.

I personally decided to keep it very simple even if it cost a few pennies more. For example, I don't buy high nicotine to base down.

You can get great base nicotine in almost any PG/VG ratio from Wizard Labs here : Nicotine Extract. So, the 500ml of 18mg nic base cost me just 4¢ a ml, or $1.20 for 30ml + flavor.

In other words, I figure I am using about 12-15¢ a day in DIY juices vs 1 1/2 packs a day of the stinkies.

For flavors, well I have had a challenge with a lot of TFA flavors tasting and smelling kinda perfumy / soapy. But this is where I get my menthol pre diluted and my red hots cinnamon and RY4 type 1: Flavor Lab.

Since they are only $1.49 ea I went ahead and picked up the cantaloupe, watermelon based on someone's recommendation here...."eyes Commaholly".

The main flavors I found easy to use were Capellas, very forgiving, not perfumy. I mix most at 15% flavor. I get them here (They call Capellas Ellas for some reason: http://highdesertvapes.com/categories/DIY/DIY-Flavors/Ella's-Gourmet-Flavor-Drops/

The rest I keep simple, ordered from Wizard Labs one syringe, some plastic bottles, and a bunch of pipettes. At 15¢ ea it's just easy to have one pipette for each flavor.

One of the best things I bought was a painter's palate from Hobby Bench for $5. A little tray with 12 little cups with caps. Great for mixing test samples and easy to clean. I numbered them 1-12, then use a spreadsheet to keep track of what is in each number when playing mad scientist.

I use CE3's with no inner seal, or cartomizers with the filling removed to drop a few drops to taste these.

Oh, ya, when testing I just mix 1 (5%) 2 (10%) or 3 (15%) drops of flavor to 20 drops of base liquid. Enough to see if you would like it without wasting too much.

Ok, this post is getting too long, if you are interested just ask, I know for a fact at least 1/2 dozen of us are DIY'ers. Or you could PM me, but the others here have more experience than I do.

Ok, now to taste my little creations I mixed earlier.....hmmm which one first.....

Good Morning Everyone,

Please get some sleep Debra, and pet Alice for me.

Darn, I am addicted to this crazy forum and will try to not open my wabbit trap too much. In my twisted Jerry Seinfield way of thinking, it is almost laughable to visit with a group of people from all over the world, not knowing anything about them or even their real names, and talk about "vapor". The funny thing is, that after a few days, you care about them, and are actually interested in chatting with them. Are we all that lonely or what? The other thought that I had is how fragile our little community actually is. As long as the internet cloud is up and functioning, we are alive and well in Voltville. If it goes down, our little group is gone. Also as long as we treat each other as we would like to be treated, we all get along in our little world. If one of us insults another or gets nasty, many will chose not to visit, perhaps ever again.
Have a great day friends who I really do not know who you are. It really is like falling down a rabbit hole into Wonderland (Vaporland or Voltville).

PS: Someone post a good song for us this AM.

Here's a fun video of a camel doing dressage alongside a horse. I think the camel does it better than the horse! What about those flying lead changes? CDI 5* - YouTube

Thanks SandySu. I didn't have a chance to watch this video until this morning. That camel was very graceful and responded beautifully.

Even though we all have our different opinions I think we have grown to like and care about one another and I sincerely hope that continues. We are a tight knit community.

Speaking about tight knit, I'm concerned about Rave and Blues and sincerely hope all is well. Would love to hear from them.

OK, here's your morning wake-up song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6qcafgLHe4

Where's Blues? He usually contributes music, too. He hasn't been in Voltville the last few days, and I'm beginning to wonder what's going on. Blues, are you out there?
