Hello, folks. Good to see all of you. You are all very special friends. You are all in my thoughts. Raven and I talk about you often. She is diligent in passing along your messages. I'll be back soon. I'm missing out on a lot fun.

I've been asked to submit a picture. So here you go.

Welcome back, Blues! I hope this isn't a one-shot deal, that you'll be back with us occasionally as you can. We are all still thinking of you and sending healing vibes. Recovery from such an operation is slow, but you're on the mend. Just keep thinking that.

Here's a song for you. I hope you get a chance to hear it. John Earl Walker Band Welcome Back Mr Blues - YouTube

It's crystal clear and sunny, with a fresh coat of snow on everything. I really should get out and do something. I have grocery shopping to do, so today may be a good day for that. I just hope the major roads are clear by now. Ours, just a little local road, still has snow on it. Maybe I should take my camera along and stop along the way for some snow scenes if I see something interesting. Till then, here's a fern with a ray of light shining on it. Not taken anyplace special, just in a neighbor's yard.

Here's another photo taken when I was in my weird experimental mode.

I have this lovely shell. In fact, I have a lot of weird dust collectors like this. One day, I took a mirror from the bedroom out to the yard and took various photos of things on it and reflected in it. So the sky is reflected in the mirror, and I put the shell on the mirror. Since you can't see the frame of the mirror, it looks like the shell is in the sky.

Here's another of the mirror in the yard so you can get the idea of what I did.

It occurred to me ChookyChuck hasn't been around for a while either.
Sent Holly a pm. saw she was on a few days ago - so I hope that means she is feeling better.

@ SandySu - cool idea w/ the mirror!
In an offbeat way reminded me still have to find a spot for the bamboo tree. Always kept an uplight under it. Loved the play of the leaf pattern on the ceiling!

My hair has always been waist length most of my life. I would keep the ends clipped to prevent splitting about twice a year. My husband never wanted me to cut my hair either but I got tired of him rolling over on it pinning me to the bed when I would try to get up. I'm too old to be going through that every night so when I retired, I had it cut shoulder length and HE was devastated! I loved it... he got over it... had no choice. Now it's sooo much easier to manage... less weight to it too. I don't know why I waited this long. Extra long hair is a thing of the past for me and I'm soooo happy!

Mine was waist length as well until about 3 years ago. Most of the time I had it tied back because it would just get in the way. Since it was always just sitting there in a ponytail I figured I'd just cut it. It really is nice to not have it wrapped around my neck when sleeping, get it caught in a door, and to realize how really heavy it was.

Let us know if you hear from Holly. I'm glad to hear she posted somewhere. That means she's probably OK, just not coming here.

If you can, get a photo of the bamboo pattern on the ceiling. Hint: don't use a flash. Ask me how I learned this. You'd think that would be one of those self-obvious things, wouldn't you?

Meanwhile, not the same as bamboo shadows, but I thought of this picture when you said it, so …

AWWWWW!!!!! Great see you back in your element Blues!!!! Is that a dog or a wolf?? Love this picture though! :)

What percentage wolf is your friend, Blues?

That is a full 100% pure North American Gray Wolf. His name is Alyeska. There is a place I go in Indiana which is a research and education facility devoted to the study of wolf behavior. It is actually up the road a bit from where Raven lives. The funny thing is, she's never been there.

At the ranch, we have permits to treat sick and injured wildlife, but we do not have permits to keep them. Once we treat them we must move them on to a licensed facility. We can only keep domestic and farm animals.

SandySu; it just occurred to me this evening: I owe you some "likes". So for every picture you've posted, consider them liked, and for some, liked many, many times.
All I can say is that they tend to make me either think or dream, (or just go "mmmmm":)) and I don't always remember to show my appreciation. So thank you, very much.
