Has anyone been able to order a Spinner, yet? All I'm viewing is "out of stock".
That is a full 100% pure North American Gray Wolf. His name is Alyeska. There is a place I go in Indiana which is a research and education facility devoted to the study of wolf behavior. It is actually up the road a bit from where Raven lives. The funny thing is, she's never been there.
At the ranch, we have permits to treat sick and injured wildlife, but we do not have permits to keep them. Once we treat them we must move them on to a licensed facility. We can only keep domestic and farm animals.
Mine was waist length as well until about 3 years ago. Most of the time I had it tied back because it would just get in the way. Since it was always just sitting there in a ponytail I figured I'd just cut it. It really is nice to not have it wrapped around my neck when sleeping, get it caught in a door, and to realize how really heavy it was.
SandySu; it just occurred to me this evening: I owe you some "likes". So for every picture you've posted, consider them liked, and for some, liked many, many times.
All I can say is that they tend to make me either think or dream, (or just go "mmmmm") and I don't always remember to show my appreciation. So thank you, very much.
When my ponytail reaches a certain length, I get massive constant headaches. I know it's time to go get it trimmed. It's fine, but there is a lot of it!
If I didn't ride motorcycles, I'd cut it short again to have an easy to take care of hairstyle. But, you can't have short hair and not have helmet head!![]()
Oh, wow. Wow.
Are they hard to grow, do you know? I wonder if they are as common in Africa, as daisies are in N America? I wonder if they would grow in my horticultural area? That is just fantastic. Do they come in different colors?
See? This is what I mean: my mind just goes off on its' own....
Here's another photo taken when I was in my weird experimental mode.

I have this lovely shell. In fact, I have a lot of weird dust collectors like this. One day, I took a mirror from the bedroom out to the yard and took various photos of things on it and reflected in it. So the sky is reflected in the mirror, and I put the shell on the mirror. Since you can't see the frame of the mirror, it looks like the shell is in the sky.
Here's another of the mirror in the yard so you can get the idea of what I did.

SandySu, your photos are excellent. White Rabbit, very nice job on the collage.
I was just telling Raven yesterday that she needs to get on this thread and post more. She loves you folks. You are like family to her. Raven is busy working on the plans for her son's house. But maybe you'll hear more from her. I hope so.
My hair has always been waist length most of my life. I would keep the ends clipped to prevent splitting about twice a year. My husband never wanted me to cut my hair either but I got tired of him rolling over on it pinning me to the bed when I would try to get up. I'm too old to be going through that every night so when I retired, I had it cut shoulder length and HE was devastated! I loved it... he got over it... had no choice. Now it's sooo much easier to manage... less weight to it too. I don't know why I waited this long. Extra long hair is a thing of the past for me and I'm soooo happy!
One of the things on my bucket list is ... let hair grow long. I've always had short, shorter, shortest hairdos since I was a little girl. I always wanted to let it grow, but I just never had the patience to get past that in-between stage. So when I stopped working and had a lesser need to have that coifed-for-the-office look, I just decided now or never. Hmmm!
I have a sculptor friend he made a model of me like the ancient Greeks did, wanna see?

Mornin' Volties!
I'm just doin' a fly by. Thought I'd grab a cup of coffee while I'm here ... but NO! No one makes coffee anymore?!?! What the heck!! Okay - I'll share my French Vanilla, but only cuz I dearly love you folks.
I've got to do some cleaning today. My son is having out of state visitors for the weekend. Time to turn the bots loose and let them dance on my floors. Then, I suppose I'll actually have to do some of the work myself. Bummer.

See ya on the flip side! (which probably makes absolutely no sense at all to the younguns) *sigh*
Have a good day, Raven.
Keep it clean, ladies, and I'm not talking about housework![]()
It's crystal clear and sunny, with a fresh coat of snow on everything. I really should get out and do something. I have grocery shopping to do, so today may be a good day for that. I just hope the major roads are clear by now. Ours, just a little local road, still has snow on it. Maybe I should take my camera along and stop along the way for some snow scenes if I see something interesting. Till then, here's a fern with a ray of light shining on it. Not taken anyplace special, just in a neighbor's yard.
