It is 32 degrees out this moening and Hubby said there was a lot of fog on his way to work. Looks like it will be pretty nice out today. I hope so since I want to get my little horse out and brush him and maybe take him for a little walk around the neighborhood later today.

It's snowing out today -- again. It sure is pretty, but I want a warm, sunny day to go visit Penny. It's supposed to warm up in the beginning of next week, but then we're supposed to get icy rain. That's one thing about this climate -- lots of precipitation. Still, the middle of July always seems to be very dry. The rest of the year, though, has lots of snow or rain.

I did, too! I remember one we used to cross to go from New Hope, PA, to Lambertville, NJ.

Well let me tell Ya' the Lambertville - New Hope Bridge is still there, however it was SOOOOO redone about 8 years ago - It is wider (maybe by 3-4", but oh does it make a difference) & the walk way even wider for all the pedestrians and bicyclist too . . . The Best thing is that in recent couple of years from Memorial day to Labor day - both towns now hold a Fireworks display every Friday Night during the Summer from the Delaware River over the Bridge . . . TOWNS ARE PACKED With Tourist (Or - As "We" use to called them - "The Lizards" ) . . .

I love trying new things as well as new flavors. I still want something either like the VAMO or the gripper. Still haven't made up my mind which to start with. The one cartomizer that I love with the twist is the Smoktech Ego "shorty" dual coil cartomizer. That thing is a cloud maker with excellent flavor and the shorty holds 3ml of juice... lasting all day. I've used one for a month now and it is just beginning to lose some of the flavor & vapor production... that's without cleaning, only refilling. I have four more unused. One filling lasts all day. I've ordered and waiting for a couple of mini vivi novas and a couple of the just released Kanger mini T3 EVOD. I chose this over the mini T3 because the mouthpiece is smaller and clear plastic. The entire thing comes apart for cleaning and replaceable parts. Some say the bottom coils are interchangeable with the T3's, others say they aren't. Will let you know how I like this after trying it out.

I think GV has some semi flat tips but I am sort of reluctant about doing business with them. Also I don't get good vibes from reading their forum threads.

i have never had a problem with GV's,i spend as much money with them as i do with SI,,in fact GV always beats SI by a day in delivery.

i think there are a lot of trolls out there causing hate and discontent.

That bridge is still there with a metal grid surface. There's another between Trenton, NJ, and Morrisville, PA. That one is quite narrow and has a low load limit, but no toll.

Yep - AT Washington's Crossing - IMO, It is one of the most dangerous bridges crossing the Delaware in that area, especially given how narrow it is and the sharp turn just at the entrance to the bridge it from NJ if the person Driving is not paying attention - particularly to people enter/exit the State Park or Route 29 too . . .

Thanks, Uncle. That brings back memories, though I never saw fireworks from the bridge. We used to visit friends of my parents in New Hope, then go to Lambertville to visit my Aunt Florence. So that bridge is my earliest memory of a singing bridge. I also remember a favorite restaurant we'd go to in New Hope, right on a canal or the river or something. I think it was called The Water's Edge. This was back in the '50s, so it's long ago and probably the restaurant is no longer there.

The Trenton-Morrisville Bridge is above the falls in Trenton. With the water that high in the river it had to be from really heavy rain, like maybe a hurricane, judging from the vegetation being so green. I've seen it get worse than that from ice dams on the river as well. I worked for the State for a while and the computer room, mainframes and servers, were in the basement of the Hughes Justice Complex, half a block off the river, and when it flooded it was all hands on deck to man the pumps to try to keep everything dry. Made me wonder what rocket scientist decided to put the critical part of IT in the basement.

It is "fun" to sit in traffic on that bridge and feel it bounce and sway as traffic goes by in the opposite direction. Sometimes I have to wonder if it won't just collapse into the river one of these days. It gets very heavy car and light truck traffic since there's no toll.

As for "The Water'S Edge" - I would rather not have to tell you this, but it is gone and replaced with "The Landing" which is next to what was the local "Bank" (that is now a Starbucks & there is also a Duncan Dounauts acrosss the street too ) . . OH and "The Landing" is very expensive . . . There is also another river edge resturant now too called the "Sandbar" . . . They were friends of my parents, but they might not be the New Hope couple. They had a neat house, not in town but outside somewhere with woods all around, and I think they built it themselves. I remember brown wood, and it was modern style for back then, with a deck from the 2nd floor -- maybe a split level? The memory is really hazy, but I remember liking to play out in the woods while the grown-ups chatted inside.

OH and don't you "LOVE" being stuck in traffic on the bridge just because some "newbie" driving an 18 wheeler thinks they can cross the bridge . . . Can't go Foward - Can't Turn around - Nor Go backwards . . .

Nope - Don't know them but it would have very interesting if I did . . . AND - There are a lot of those type of Homes in and around New Hope and Solebury Township . . . The sad part is many of them are being bought up and being replaced by all those "Mc Donald" style homes that are being built now . . . You would be amazed how the area is changing . . . A developer has even built a group of Town Homes right on the Canal that still gets flooded when there is a storm - unbeliveable . . .

I haven't been in New Hope in years and years. I'm sure there are lots of changes, and in fact, my memory of the town is dim, though I remember loving the place. I go to Philadelphia a couple times a year -- always at Christmastime. My brother lives in the far suburbs, near Valley Forge, and my stepfather lives in South Philly near South St., and my stepmother lives just outside Chestnut Hill. Those are the areas I'm most likely to be in. Someday, on the way home from Philly, it might be fun to visit New Hope again and see how much I remember. Probably not much, between my vague memory and the changes that have taken place over the years.

I think you mean the "Lambertville House" which is on "Bridge" Street . . . THANKFULLY they finally fixed the place (since it is a Historic Landmark)- It is still white and locate just before the Bridge into New Hope . . .

(BTW: "My" Sister & B-I-L had a house on York Street since the 70's until they sold it in the 90's and moved to Frenchtown - Oh and I use to live on Coryell Street for a couple of years in the 80's besides living in New Hope PA )

There was also an older place that was a hotel just off Main Street and on a hill before your turned onto Route 518 into Princeton that became apartments a long time ago . . . But that was back in the 60-70's . . .
