I use the KISAPS principle (keep it as simple as possible, stupid) and mix what I want when I need it. Plug the numbers into the calculator and go. Fast and easy and I get to set the nicotine and PG/VG anywhere I want it any time I want to change it without doing ratio conversions. To be honest, the amount of variation in PG/VG and nicotine that the flavors introduce isn't all that critical, at least to me, but I usually am using under 10% of total flavoring in the first place. And even if you're using more, adding another 2.5% of flavor shouldn't make a very big difference at all.

Hi Debra,

I must have sucked that 18650 dry yesterday, it has been on my cheap charger for 12 hours now and still not 100% charged
I guess I will have to buy a more powerfuly charger like Kon suggested.

Hope the weather has improved, I checked the Internet weather in your area of Australia and it looks like a couple of more days of rain.
yes very sad a lot of folks have lost there homes under water...or smashed by trees...im so lucky to be sitting here..with power...some of these folks...have just started getting over the floods from last jan....the rain has settled today....but yes theres more coming....

Debra, OZ is in the news. Just saw a video of a town under sea foam, like 2 meters deep from the video I saw. Another of a family rescued from the bed of a pickup truck caught in the flooding. Keep safe, and dry, and comfortably vaped!
yes 30mins or so from me...never ever seen it like that...:shock:im one of the lucky ones...im safe and dry.. you got it im :vapor:lots...I cant watch the news anymore...its to sad...every channel here...is the same....oh media...

I just pulled the battery off of the charger, put it in my Vamo and it says 4.2 volts (which is a full charge). I think the charger just did not know it was fully charged, or it was just below the max. I will have to check my batteries myself every several hours I guess until I get used to the charging rate etc.

A lot of the chargers, at least from the reviews I've read so far, have similar problems with indication of a complete charge. I ordered an inexpensive one myself, but maybe it'll be a good idea to look around a little and find something a bit better and, maybe, made somewhere else as well.

Get a cheaper voltmeter and check the voltages off the charger. I have a battery that causes the light on the charger to go to amber. Checked the voltage, and it was fine.

Checking voltages under no load conditions, either the battery or charger, may not be very helpful. I monitor charge current and charge voltage while charging on the batteries I have so far, and will be rigging an adapter so I can monitor charge current and voltage when I get the "18" series batteries I ordered. A battery can show "full charge" voltage under no load and as soon as even a minimal load is applied it can drop dramatically if the battery is getting "tired" for example.

I don't know if those built-in voltage checkers show load voltage or open circuit voltage. I will find out, probably later this week if the gods of shipping are kind, and let you know what I find out.

Is there that much difference doing a load check, and does the charger, or multimeter give the voltage/charge using a load check?

Despite the fact i have a pro battery analyzer or multimeters i never check them lol. Just use the cheapest chargers.

White rabbit trying to make graphs when having a load on the battery helps, simple voltage checkers only test open circuit, just the voltage.

Measuring the internal resistance also helps on a fully charged battery, it gives you an estimate on how much current the battery can give you.
I prefer the battery analysis routines of the analyzer, it charges and discharges (with a specific or variable load) the battery and keeps record of it for further analysis. Sometimes a fully charged battery shows up fine on a multimeter and if you connect a load it goes down.

One of these days, if I ever get done buying all the other "toys" I want, and not limited to vaping toys either, I'll have to spring for a real battery analyzer. Monitoring charge current and approximate charge time gives me a better idea than just no load voltage, for certain, but it's a pain in the neck to check readings every half hour while they charge, too many other things to do during the day. I did find a four channel charger that seems to have some built-in intelligence in terms of monitoring battery charge voltage and being able to charge different batteries in different slots at the same time. I'll wait and see what happens with the inexpensive (cheap) one I already ordered.

if you didn't liked this Roland i guess you won't like the price of the accessories LOL. Anyway this is beyond amateur stuff, it's used by the military too. If you need solid proof results and accuracy you got to have tools.
I guess i'm lucky to be able to have one on my lab, tried to sell it but it won't sell even 200$ so i decided i'll keep all of my equipment at home. I made a special testing base for 18650 and similar batteries, i may try the Panasonic to get an idea.

It kills me because I used to have access, free access, to test equipment of all types traceable to NBS. Heck, I could even sign the stuff out and take it home over the weekend. It is a little pricey for a hobbyist so I'll stick with my charge monitor system for now, until I hit the lottery anyway.

Let me get this straight? I paid $9.95 for my Trustfire Multifunctional Charger and the UBA5 is on sale for $995.00 or 100 times more expensive just to charge a $10.00 battery for a $50 PV Mod. OK $9.95 or $995.00? Is that a choice or what?
