JoAnn, you're making me really guilty....well sort of anyway. My wife ordered vaping supplies from two different sources on Sunday, Ohio and Florida. I ordered vaping supplies from two more, completely different vendors, Texas and Florida. Today, while walking Bo at noon, the mail truck came down the street and I walked up the driveway with an armload of vapemail. I hope your package does show up really soon.

Never had a problem until recently and now there seems to be a domino effect happening. I really hope it's just that one package and the tracking number system is just screwy on the other. I'm glad you received all your packages and that makes me happy and hopeful as well. This too shall pass. Enjoy ALL your supplies and Please don't feel guilty!

What's the difference between tornadoes and cyclones?

Tornadoes can evolve from cyclones. Cyclones and hurricanes are the same thing but they turn in opposite directions. Sort of like typhoons and monsoons. Called by different names in different parts of the world. All have the same terrifying and damaging effects though.

I bet they are into some sort of competition where fitness of the horse should be measured. In addition to endurance and competitive trail riding, I bet people use them to get event horses ready for the cross country phase, though I don't know this for a fact. I also wonder if they are used for racehorses or other kinds of competition where the fitness of the horse is very important. I also wonder why they had you make one when you can buy them. Maybe you were cheaper? I have no idea what heart rate monitors are selling for these days, but back when my friend was telling me about them, she said they were expensive. Well, here's the complete kit: https://www.thedistancedepot.com/V_MAX_Basic_Equine_Heart_Rate_Monitor_System_p/vm-behrms.htm Not too bad a price if you are serious about it, but definitely too expensive to use just for fun. I have no idea, though, if this is a good brand or if you really should get something more expensive so it holds up. I have no experience with using one or anything like that.
It's a 15$ human sensor modified by me for horses. :D I only may have to attach a larger antenna for the sensor, like a microstrip antenna.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Bo wanted to go out early, like at 5AM, for his morning constitutional. It actually worked out! There was a break in the rain between about 4AM and 6AM so we didn't get soaked. The wind is still blowing hard but it's still warm. That will change as the day goes on. Lots of street flooding and some local power outages, but nothing too severe around here.

None of this is unprecedented in the weather department. I remember snow just before Easter and wearing shorts just before Christmas Day, more than once. I also remember hurricanes that caused as much damage as Sandy (corrected for inflation of course) and extreme cold spells and extreme heat spells. Sometimes I think it's all the media coverage that makes people think the weather is changing very rapidly, it always changes, that's why it's called weather!

What's the difference between tornadoes and cyclones?

A tornado is a much more localized storm generally associated with extremely strong thunderstorms. Tornados have localized winds, like maybe a few blocks to a kilometer wide area blowing at anything from 60 to 150+ kilometers per hour with even higher gusts. One of their major destructive features is the extremely low air pressure they generate which can actually make a house explode from pressure differential between inside and outside. I've seen photos of broom straw skewering a telephone pole from tornados.

Cyclones, and hurricanes, are large storms covering hundreds of kilometers. They contain, usually, thunderstorms, and lots of rain generally. Both can have winds, sustained winds over large areas, of at least 76mph (that might be 73mph but not much of a difference). There was a hurricane back in the 60's that had 225mph sustained winds when it made landfall along the US Gulf Coast. They both, cyclone and hurricane, have a central area, eye, around which all of the winds revolve where the air pressure is quite low. This literally causes ocean water to rise in that area. For example when the eye of Sandy made landfall here this fall the surge of water caused by that low pressure was around 5 meters and caused tremendous flooding, ocean water flooding, all along northern New Jersey, New York City and Long Island and Connecticut. The difference between a hurricane and a cyclone is that a hurricane occurs in the northern hemisphere and a cyclone occurs in the southern hemisphere. A hurricane has winds spinning counterclockwise if viewed from above while a cyclone has winds spinning clockwise if viewed from above. Other than that, no difference at all. Damage caused by either storm is usually very widespread compared to what a tornado causes.

I use the eraser on a number 2 pencil. Not too abrasive and usually always handy. Another trick is the strike strip from a pack of matches. That works well for relay and switch contacts.

After you get over this part you have it made welll then you get to go on another e-liquid taste adventure. How do you DIY folks handle finding liquids you like? Do you just keep experimenting with different recipes?

It's all a matter of trial and error, usually a lot more error than trial. Sometimes you get lucky and stumble across something nice on the first try. One of my "tricks" is to mix a test batch of the individual flavors first to see what they taste like, then start combinations. Like Rabbit said, always start with very small amounts, like 2.5% or maybe even less for extremely strong flavors. Other flavors don't come out until you reach the 20 to 25% range. It all depends on your individual tastes and taste buds. I have my favorite mix, but I'm always fooling with test batches, changing specific flavors and amounts, but I always seem to go back to the original formula.

Man you hit that one on the nail head! More error than trial. I still have not mixed a DIY flavor anywhere near to those that are pre-mixed from EC Blends or Heavenly Vapors. That said, some of the pre-mixed flavors are also not that good. I think the "Holy Grail" is finding several DIY blends that you just LOVE. Then you can mix your daily vape anytime you desire.

Well folks, time for me to get off the computer. Poor little Whisper hasn't seen much of her mommy this week. After dealing with the leaking water pump in my car for the past two nights, I'm going to curl up with her and watch some Dog TV. Yes, she is an avid TV watcher. I can't wait to Tivo puppy bowl for her. I turn that on when I need to clean the house or run errands.

Hope everyone has a pleasant night/day wherever you are!

Spanky has his favorite shows too. He loves the "Too Cute" puppy/kitten series that comes on Animal Planet. As far as movies... he loves Happy Feet one and two... another favorite is Eight Below... the true story about eight sleigh dogs that had to survive in Antarctica alone... Must confess, I love that one too. Try that one for Whisper, I bet she'll love it too.

We don't find the liquids, we buy flavors, which themselves are rather inexpensive at about $1.50 per small bottle. Then you mix the flavors into your base nic liquid starting at very small amounts and vape. If it is too weak, add more flavor. If it is too strong, start over with less flavoring. If it tastes nasty, move on to another flavor. After you get an OK mix, you can add other flavors. One of my current favorites is Peach and Orange. I made four or five batches at 5 ML each before I finally got to a formula of 5% Peach with one very small drop of Orange (which is exceptionally strong). Same with tobacco flavors except they really do need time to steep. Many taste nasty when first mixed, but after 4 to 10 days they mellow and the true tobacco flavors come through.

You must have the patience of a saint!

I put in another order to replace the package that was "lost". The new order was still in Texas according to the tracking number. If the lost is found I will have double.

Here's my theory, FWIW. She somehow misplaced the package in her truck and put her glove in -- a senior moment, even if she's not too senior -- I get them, too. Then, since the package was on the floor of her truck, it got kicked out someplace when she got out of the mail truck. By now, if someone found it, they would have taken it to the post office, and the post office would have delivered it to you. I guess that could still happen. More likely is it got plowed to the side of the road if a snow plow came by after that, and you said you had snow, and it's under a mound of snow somewhere. Or maybe not now, if you've had the warm temperatures we've had. No snow left around here. Who knows, maybe someone opened it, realized what it was, and is vaping away, happy with their find?

No not really, I am just "cheap" I guess I have maybe $30 - $40 or so tied up in flavors, bottles and equipment. I have mixed some juice that I vape on a daily basis, and hopefully can produce a nice mixture soon. I don't really work at it daily, only when I read about a new recipie on line or from Lizzie. I never was any good at chemistry, and you need to be fairly accurate and write down your exact recipe every time you mix a new juice or add/change a current mix. Actually it is similar to cooking when you add spices to your favorite foods etc.

Yeah... or maybe someone opened it knowing it was not their's to begin with... than said what the f....? Knowing it wasn't their's to begin with because it was clearly labeled... and not wanting to appear like the THIEF they would be... just threw it in the garbage.

I apologize Rabbit ,I used the wrong phrase there,I meant to say flavorings. Tobacco flavors I know need time to steep,I have some I bought from a vendor that I've had for 3mos now that are still steeping. Personally I'm beginning to think they are just not my type but they are becoming tolerable.
Have you found a flavoring that is close to your EC blend that you like?
