Milkweed is pretty awesome looking but I try to keep it out of the yard anyway. Not native to this area and pretty invasive. Plus, I think the goats aren't supposed to eat it.

I didn't feel like getting anything done but it was gorgeous outside and it feels great to accomplish getting the chores done and working in the yard a bit. Won't be too much longer and yard clean up will be completely done. Maybe even tomorrow!

Thanks for the compliment Raynes. Would you believe I got the decals from Walmart in the giftwrapping section? I chose decals for wrapping bridel shower presents... lots of sparkle! So far, I just did the chrome spinner which reflects camera flash too much for a better picture. I'll take a couple when and if I do the same to any with matte finish.

Ah yes, I love bling also!

I fell in love with the Ego type batteries that Esmokeronline was selling. I believe they still have them also. Rob over at Smoketek has them also.

From left to right: X2 with Duct Tape with clearomizer/blueberry; X2 with battery wrap; 900 mah engraved hearts from ESO; small 650mah again from ESO; rainbow Spinner not showing well at all; and the last of the Ego type 900 mah red rose.

In the foreground is a lil ole 78 with a wrap!

I got the decals from the craft department at Walmart along with the sheets of duct tape! I understand Target has a much more varied selection.

The black on clear decals I cut into tiny segments and positioned them around a matte black Volt 78 and the stainless steel 78s. They did look mighty nice.

Now that I have these Ego ready-blinged, I don't have too much use for the decals, but that is what I used!

I do apologize for the very large picture! I did crop it in P/B but it still came out this way!

Hello and good bye Kon. After getting virtually nothing done all day, it is time to go outside and clean the goat pen and feed the critters and play in the yard:) Oh, and I might have to start some laundry. Yes, I actually do have to get some thing done around here some times.

Hello and hello!

I am raped by fever, you can place a pan on my head and make a steak or something. 3:24 and still trying to sleep.
Bad luck these days lol.
Hope you all have a great weekend wherever you are whatever you do, someone on the other side of the world thinks about you.

Remember the dressage horse, Ravel, who danced to Bolero? I had said he's retired now, and I thought you might be interested in seeing his replacement. Ravel's owner says he's her favorite trail horse now. Her trainer, Stefan Peters, has been working with Legolas, the new competition horse, imported from Germany, as so many of the top US dressage horses are.

OMG!!! I LOVE what you did with these, very creative! Duct tape? It's amazing the patterns and colors that it comes in now. I'll have to check those out too. I'm not sure if I want to cover the entire battery yet because I love the colors but I do like to put a little accent piece here and there. I have a couple of sheets of Tinkerbelle sparkly decals along with other designs that I haven't used yet. Next will be charms added.

Those kind of races piss me off.
They push the animals too much. I wish i could make HIM do that with the horse on he's back.

Kon, dressage isn't a race -- it's not a competition of speed. But sometimes they do push a horse too much, no matter whether it's dressage or hunters or barrel racing or endurance. I think, though, that if you want to compete successfully at such a high level, you have to be very mindful of how you train the horse, and only the best trainers and riders will make it. The people who do it incorrectly will fail. Often, incorrect training means that the horse fails physically somehow, yet dressage horses compete to a fairly old age for such high-level competition. Maybe competition of any sort is more demanding than rail riding, and some people disapprove of how dressage horses are ridden for competition, but I really don't think it's as hard on a horse as many other places that horse could be, doing many other things that horses do for their people.

I'm sure no one was wondering where I was for the past few days... But, I was busy in preparation of receivership of my friends 2 dachshunds. They are getting a divorce, so the kids are in the middle and I was volunteered to hold them for their mom who lives in Kentucky. So, I had to get the house and the yard ready for them. They are here now, and missing their dad. It breaks my heart, but at least the dogs are still together. Whisper doesn't know what to do with them!

Needless to say, I've been stressed out and have been wanting to have an analog. I've been madly vaping to try to keep that old stinky habit at bay. So far, I'm winning.

Awsum, happy belated.

JoAnn, I hope you are feeling better and I hope you saw the Evic picture I posted yesterday.

Whoa, that is a lot on your plate. Are the dogs getting along with each other? Glad you are vaping through this stress.

Kon, does this video set your mind at ease? Dressage 101 - Steffen Peters - YouTube Here is Ravel, the horse that's now retired from competition. This was probably filmed before he retired, but you can see that the horse is in fine physical shape, is relaxed and happy -- even trying to distract Steffen Peters into giving him scratches rather than point out conformation -- and to me, he looks like a happy, well-cared-for horse.

Thanks Lizzie. So far, yes. They have been staying the past week or so in Reno and came from there to here today. The dachshunds are huddled to each other and Whisper is all over me. There has been some teeth baring and some growling. Both dogs have been here before, but it's been about 3 years ago. I know the older one remembers me, but the younger one probably doesn't remember ever being here.

Hard part about it is that Whisper eats on demand, otherwise she'd eat the whole bowl dry in one meal. The dachshunds were used to nibbling all day. I figure it's going to take them a week or so to get into the routine. I am not pumping them full of treats so they should be hungry by breakfast or dinner tomorrow. It has disrupted Whisper and I a bit. But hopefully we'll all adjust and get a routine down soon.

This is the first time in 2 1/2 months that I've actually thought about running down to the store and buying a pack of smokes. I guess it's a good thing I'm all stocked up on juice. At least I got some vape mail today and will probably sit down tomorrow and make some more juices. I have to miss the Sacramento Vape meetup tomorrow, and that makes me sad. But, I'd rather supervise the kids and make sure everyone is playing nice. ;)

Things are slow here tonight, so I'll contribute another picture. Most people think milkweed is just plain ugly, but the flowers in spring smell wonderful, and when the seeds escape the pods on their little parachutes, there's beauty in that, too.

I love milkweed and won't bother it if I find it growing on the property. The Monarchs need milkweed to lay their eggs, newly hatched caterpillars eat the heck out of it. But as Lizzie said, it's not good for animals to eat from what I understand. Thanks for the pretty pic!

Tails that sure is a lot of stress on you, but what a wonderful friend you are! Good job keeping away from cigs, this is just a test to show you that you can!

Feel better fast Kon, being sick stinks!

Tail....just some advice from someone who watches the Dog Whisperer faithfully everyday.....dogs live in the moment and can move on faster than humans. They only hang onto human emotions if we are feeling them....they pick up on what we are giving out. Stay calm and assertive (as Cesar would say) and live in the moment. Be the pack leader and don't be afraid to correct them - or whoever is acting up - to keep the peace. Someone will try to take over if you don't show the leadership. Don't "feel sorry" and feel you have to compensate for them missing dad. They'll be ok. It's humans that hold onto things.
Nice of you to take care of them for awhile. :)
I love dachshunds....I have a mini guy. He's adorable....but bossy if I let him get away with it. Smaller dogs tend to do that because they're little and cute and we let them get away with more than we would a bigger dog.
