Today i've told by my boss that he might close the whole business down even the energy stuff we work today.
He also told me that he's trying to get me into vodafone main MTX building to work as a system maintenance and admin (i happen to know MML language better than anyone else the one that operator machines work ) if something goes wrong. It's a thing on a desk monitoring the network and talking with crews to activate new stations setting them up etc.
I believe nothing will happen lol mainly because it's hard to get in and many other people (without skills) have many more people inside. It's the classic thing in Greece, someone with more connections takes the job even if he's useless.

Btw thnx to anyone who uses my coupon, this will help me more than you can even imagine. :D I owe you bed time.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Two comments, Konstantine, Greece has nothing on the US when it comes to favoritism for jobs and I wish we could do more to help.

The water heater you're thinking of, Sandy, is a demand heater. I've looked at them as well and they are kind of pricey, as in around $1000.00 and need, in my case, propane to run on. That also means I'd need a bigger propane tank than the current 100lb cylinder, which I would end up paying for plus the fuel. The solar system should run around the same amount, but needs no fuel other than a little electricity to run the pump and controller.

Wood, around here, is $150 per cord which makes it uneconomical. I can get a 6-8 cord drop shipment for around $500, but that means cutting and splitting it all, lots of work, and I'd need a hydraulic splitter. Even if I get a permit to cut in State Forests, an inexpensive permit at that, I'd still need the splitter and a trailer to haul the wood home with.

Our house has 2X6 exterior walls and thermal windows and doors. There's almost two feet of insulation in the attic. Our last oil delivery was under 200 gallons and that took a little over a year to use, so it would be hard to do better by more weather proofing.

If I do the solar water heater I plan on oversizing the system, deliberately, and using the excess capacity to heat the basement. All it will take is an extra solar collector, a little extra piping and either a few valves or a separate heat exchanger and circulator pump. I think that will go a long way in cutting down the amount of oil needed to heat the house. On top of that, the little propane heater we bought for emergency use heats the whole house on two dollars worth of propane per day, oil would cost around ten bucks per day.

My big decision right now is whether to build the solar collectors from scratch or just order some commercial ones. I have to research what they would cost to build, frame, backer, tubing and glass for a covering. I don't count my time, that's sort of free anyway.

Home again and relaxing after a big day of cleaning. I went out to the horse pen, fed the horse and sat on a chair reading a book while the little horsey pretty much ignored me in favor of his food:) He takes eating very seriously. So nice to relax in the shade with a book and all the goats and dogs and horse hanging out. The weather is gorgeous, upper 60's and just a slight breeze now and again.

OK, now I am tired just from reading about tree cutting, dog pee clean up, installing electrical equipment, and I missed Rave's BDay.

Happy Belated Birthday Rave:facepalm:

Been rather busy around the house myself, just cleaning up before and after having some friends over for a "Pre-Bermuda Trip Party". A group of us will be going next month on "another" cruise to Bermuda. This will be our 6th trip. Love the island even in April, but I don't imagine it will be warm enough to swim except in the ship pools.

Also been gathering vaping supplies and trying to figure what to take along. I think my Vamo with two 18650 batteries and charger along with my two Xs and chargers will suffice in any situation. It has been nice weather here along the Chesapeake Bay the last couple of days, it is warming up nicely and I will be outside again gardening and cleaning up. I hope to get rid of a very little pot belly with several weeks of gardening work.

Catch you all later.

I'm envious! I think it'll be at least another month before I'd want to sit outside here.

Went back out to see Wiseguy and he was such a cute little guy. I had carrots so we did a few treats and then I'd say "Come on" and he would follow me around the pen. Then, after a couple of "backs" I gave him another carrot. Then we did "Ears" and he got his last carrot. He doesn't like having his ears touched but he is doing better.

Cleaned up the pen while he sniffed the bucket and the rake and the chair.

This is columbine growing wild at the edge of the Taughannock Creek gorge.
