We got all the sweet gum balls raked and bagged today. Mrs Awsum pitched in with a rake and I used the blower to herd them into generally long lines for final raking and cleanup. It took nine 45 gallon trash bags, ran me out of bags for yard cleanup! It does look one heck of a lot better and now we can walk through the yard without worrying about twisting an ankle.

It got up into the 60's today and the sun is still shining, but rain is forecast for tomorrow afternoon.

I would suspect that Crucial has a different part number for the Mac just to make the price difference. It's probably the same memory, at least effectively. It may have a higher QC level on the Mac version, but it's going to be essentially the same thing for more money. If Konstantine says it'll work, I am absolutely, positively sure it will.

Unless the mac has a stupid whitelist and only allows installation of specific hardware (only to piss you off or make you buy stupid mac stuff).
But it will work.

Thanks, you guys. Turned out to be a dead lower ram slot, apparently a known problem on this model. And of course, it didn't happen to me until 4+ years after Apple stopped fixing it for free. So I can replace the logic board, or be happy with 1GB of ram (instead of the 1.5 that I had) until it dies and save the money for an upgrade (my next mac refurb). This thing's 8 years old, so it's time to let it go anyway.

Aww Deb, I'm here though not feeling my best. I've had back to back doctors' appointments this past week, not sure what's going on. I'm having an abdominal CT scan on Tuesday hoping I won't need surgery. So for now, my saga continues....
