Sitting down, facing forward.
Good morning, Voltville! Mrs. Awsum, who was busy yesterday as well with shopping, walking Bo and helping with the weeding and planting, let me sleep late this morning. She shut my alarm clock off when she got up.

After a really nice, warm, sunny, weekend it's raining and cool here this morning. Glad the outside work got done yesterday, but there is still lots of raking to do.

Tail, hang in there with the insurance company. Somehow you'll prevail and, hopefully, recover at least a reasonable portion of the loss. Sometimes I wonder why we pay for insurance when the try so hard to weasel out of their end of the obligation.

Good morning Awsum and the rest of Voltville. Rainy dreary weather here as well so it will be inside tasks for me.

Great pictures Sandy and I'm glad you got the chance to enjoy riding again.

Tail... I'm wishing you well for a fair insurance settlement and quick recovery after your surgery today. You are in my prayers for both.

Oh! Coffee's on... help yourself!! :)

I hope so Awsum. My dad was a adjuster. He would be appalled at the way insurance companies deal with clients these days.

Thanks JoAnn. I'm sure all will go well. I was talking to a retired surgical nurse yesterday at the dog park. She said they strap you in a bed and flip you upside down for the surgery. After she told me this, it made me think of all the blood running to my head! She warned that my shoulders will be sore for a week. I don't know why, but that freaked me out.

For those wanting to know what I'm talking about, I'm having my gall bladder taken out later today.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Don't you just get all riled up when insurance companies (especially well known ones) advertise "You are in good hands with (you know who) and "We will be there when you need us most" Yea right. Who keeps 10 year old receipts anyway. Personally, State Farm has treated me well in the past, when we had a major leak in our upstairs bathroom and it flooded almost the whole downstairs of our house. ONE phone call and Serve Pro was at our house in 1/2 hour (called by State Farm) to start cleaning and drying out the house. I have heard other insurance nightmares including people who had flood insurance on Long Island and still can't get a resolution from Sandy.

Personally, I keep all of my records on computer disks stored at the Bank along with a video inventory, which needs to be updated soon.

Best of luck with your claim Tail11.

Glad you got to sleep Roland, that is Awsum  My Bad on that joke. Please post pics of you solar project when it gets to the point of looking like a solar project. I imagine that right now it is just a pile of broken up concrete and parts. I hope it saves you tons of money, so you can finally purchase that Porsche 911 you want!

I can't vouch for them now, but some years ago, Bill totaled our truck, and GEICO paid up without a squeak. I'll stick with them since they were so good about that, rather than succumb to all these offers of cheaper insurance we see these days. They insure other things besides motor vehicles, so if you're not happy with your insurance, I recommend GEICO.

Tail, I'm sending vibes that the surgery goes well and that your shoulders withstand it without too much pain. It seems weird that they hang you upside down. I always think of surgery with the patient lying flat on his or her back. As soon as you're able, let us know how you are.

Someone rammed me from the back about 12 years ago. She was the secretary for an auto dealership on lunch break with one of their vehicles. Their insurance co. procrastinated for months; in the meantime I got another vehicle. I called the Kansas Insurance Commissioner's office (in the time of Sibelius), and a week later it was settled.

The thing about hanging upside down is to get easier access to the part being removed.

I've heard a lot of good things about State Farm. I'm sure Allstate will either cancel or jack my rates up so high that I'll have to switch to another company. I'm just starting out researching companies.

I had Geico years ago. Every year they would raise my car insurance to the point where I finally had to change companies. I never had an accident or speeding ticket and they really couldn't give me a good explanation of why my rates were going up when the value of the car was going down.

Thanks for the thoughts Sandy, I appreciate it!

Maybe it had something to do with living in Calif. When I moved to Calif., GEICO was really unhappy. They said they weren't taking more people from Calif., but since I was already a customer, they would continue to insure me. I don't know why this was, something about insurance rules in Calif. I do think my insurance cost more while I lived there, but then, every time I move, it changes depending on the population of the area I live in. I don't have a head for figures, so I just stick with them and pay what they ask. When I moved to Calif., I came from NYC, so the insurance rates were high there, too. I guess it didn't seem much different, even though in Calif., I lived in suburban areas, not urban ones. I really don't remember now how the costs may have compared, though I could look it up if I had to. It would be a lot of reconstructing and digging through old records, though, and I'm not going to do that unless I'm forced at gunpoint.

I don't blame you wanting to look through old records. The adjuster is demanding so much paperwork including receipts and owners manuals. What paperwork I had left from my office wasn't much help so I've gone through the garage and every drawer in the house. I didn't keep them on everything, but I've run across a few things. Surely it won't be enough for this lady. I'm tired of trying to prove that I actually owned my stuff. The insurance company offered to have me sign a release of information so they can run all of my financials. I think that's a bit much and I don't feel comfortable letting them have complete access.

I see that AARP has insurance, so I'll put that on my list to check too.

I'm trying to be good and not vape before surgery. I got up early so I could down a few glasses of water before 5AM (cutoff time). My mouth is already parched and I haven't had a vape since 5AM!

Stay strong. It'll soon be over. What time do you have to be there? The waiting must be nerve-racking.

Thanks for the coffee this AM. It is also drizzling rain here in the Land of Pleasant Living, so I think I will try some DYI. Found a recipe calling for 8% Strawberry, 7% Peach and 3% coconut so I might give it a try with a little less percentage on all three to start. Also found one with Dbl RY4 10%, Bavarian Cream 5%, 3% Dbl Chocolate and 2% cotton candy, but it calls for clear Dbl Chocolate and I only have the dark. Anywho, since I can't find a decent vape out of over 20 or 30 flavorings that I have (except Dbl RY4) I guess I will experiment away.

Sending "find the magic flavor" vibes. It's raining off and on here, too. I have a few things I need to do this week, and I'm sitting around, doing nothing, trying to decide which to do today. I think maybe the library will win.

Tail - Sending good thoughts for you on your surgery. You will be up and going strong in no time. My sister had her gallbladder removed. You will do fine.

SandySu - The library sounds like a winner on a drizzly day.

Awsum - I love photos of broken concrete:)

Wabbit - Have fun with your DIY. I found a couple of flavors that I love. I have one steeping right now Reno's 555. I hope it tastes as good as my small experimental batches. I made 30 ml.

It was over 80 degrees for a couple of days now. I closed the shutters to keep the sun out of the house this afternoon. The house stayed pretty cool at 77 degrees max at the very end of the day. Low 70's inside for most of the day. Fortunately, it is still cooling off fast when the sun goes down so we opened all the windows and enjoyed our fresh country air.

Off I go to clean a house. Have a good day Volties.

Lizzie, The only fruit flavor I find anywhere tasty is ORANGE  I can mix it with peach, tobacco, and almost anything and it is just delicious to me. The strawberry, coconut, apricot etc. just do not appeal to my particular taste buds, and I just love coconut flavor. TFA coconut is just not the same. I am trying my strawberry, peach, coconut mix with your English Tobacco Base 50/50 and it is OK, but not WOW by any means.

On your Reno 555 - please share recipe. I find SI 555 cartos a little too strong on the nutty flavor side, but may order some TFA 555 to try. I just can't get into the M Type, Asian RY4, English, or 7 Leaf Blend tobaccos. RY4 seems to be just my flavor - plus Orange

Still Vaping Away on a rainy day. - Wabbit

Tail, have you checked with USAA? That's where I've got my vehicle insured and it's very reasonable. I haven't check their rates for homeowners', though. You want 10 more characters, do you?!
