I am thinking sweetner also. Have you tried a drop or two of cinnomon?

Right now all I have is EM so I'll have to order the sweetener. I'll think about the cinnamon but I have to be careful with that one because it sometimes gives me hives in vapes. I find that super urksome because I really love cinnamon!

My son took another hit of chococlate today and said it had a really good exhale flavor. It was actually to see what he thought of my cheepo vivi nova from fasttech but it served to get him to test a flavor he isn't really intrested in generaly and so he is a fairly good critic of it.

I was thinking on the cinnomon as a background almost hiden note. but, since your allergic that's not going to work. How do you like fast tec? Is the vivi any good?

I actually have a slew of clearos of various types from Fasttech now. So far I've had really good luck with them over all. I have one out of over half a dozen or so of them that leaks a few drops if I leave it sitting out and that is the extent of my issues thus far. As far as my cheapo vivi nova goes it works as well as the rather pricier one I got from a different site. And based on the price I will guess the old one was not a copy (she said hopefully). I've had no leaking or any other issues with it. I also noticed that fasttech now has a few vivi novas that look exactly like the old one so they have more than one style now.

In general I would have thought that the chocolates I've whipped up would have needed a far longer steep before they were even something worth even testing. But I've been surprised how quickly they came together with a few hot water baths and some open top steeping. My first test batch that I have just finished vaping up was from the 15th of may. But I have tried and been fairly satisfied with the last batch which was done on the 29th. I put it through more warm water baths than normal because part of it was to be given as a gift to a friend of my sons with her new PV.

You know; I'm going to continue on this search for the "Holy Grail", but I've started wondering if I'd really know a good chocolate or even enjoy it if I did know it?

After all, Levitas mentioned awhile back when I first started to do the d.i.y. thing that Capella "Chocolate Fudge Brownie" was good so I got some and it is good. But I no longer do it by itself and it never would have been an "all day vape."

So like a bunch of you folks I started buying different "vanillas" and "creams" to try...

Here's my recipe:

10ml:
0.45ml "Whipped Cream" (TFA)
3 drops "Chocolate Fudge Brownie" (CAP)
1 tiny drop from an eyedropper or pipette of "EM/Cotton Candy" (I used TFA but I'm sure it doesn't matter
and you may want a bit more or less)
2 drops "MTS Vape Wizard" (FA)

Basically; what I do is add everything other than the "Chocolate Fudge Brownie" first.
Since it's Capella and it's drops, and I use syringes for most everything else my experience
has been that it's easier to "work up" to the "Fudge" factor and keep the same ratio of everything else.

When I make a 100ml batch it ends up being 35 drops instead of 30.

100ml:
35 drops "Chocolate Fudge Brownie"
4.5ml "Whipped Cream"
1.0ml "EM/Cotton Candy"
10 drops "MTS Vape Wizard"

I use 50/50 VG/PG if that makes any difference to anyone
and I'm not sure the "Vape Wizard" is that necessary as
this stuff is good without much steeping.

Thanks,

Norman

Do you find the cappella's choc fudge brownie that strong to only use 3 drops in ten mls? I just got that flavor and I haven't tried it out yet?
I thought Cappella's were supose to be on the weak side?

Soreviv, I've wondered about blueberry as an addion ever since I read that a frequent note in some chocolates was "dark fruit". I'm not sure how I feel about it as a major note though. I have some huckleberry (TFA) that I may try in some of my chocolate just to see though.

The trick is to get the chocolate and blueberry as even as possible . if you like chocolate covered blueberries as I do give a go its a wonderful taste. As are chocolate covered raisins ;) the dulce de leche aka sweet milk Imo lends a wonderful hand with the chocolate. As I'm sure vanilla also would be a great addition. .

Found an interesting read HERE. I got a few ideas from it I can't wait to try. I went on a chocolate tasting mission, was yummy btw. But I noticed several different characteristics from different brands of chocolate. From coffee to caramel to creamy and butter and nuts lol? After reading the above link I tasted some more. I did notice a bread like taste maybe even a tobacco, slight fruit note. There is a lot to chocolate.
I have started tasting my batches of flavors tonight. All the ones recommended here. I'm going to add to each flavor different ingredients and maybe mix the good ones together, we'll see what happens. I'm sure I'm taking the slow road but I'm hoping it goes somewhere. I do know I'll need more flavors....

I find "Capella Flavor Drops" in the 13ml bottles to be so potent that I usually only do 1 drop per 5ml (so 2 per 10ml.) HA!

But perhaps that's just me. It also may be the case that I get most of my flavors from other vendors and mostly "desert-type" flavors from "Capella."

Either way, I can't imagine syringing "Capella" so my method is to do every other flavor first with a syringe and then start small with the number of "Capella" drops, shake, test/taste, add more if needed, etc.

I've also never bought a larger quantity than the 13ml bottles (although I was tempted with their 50% off sale) so that might have something to do with it, but I buy 4oz bottles of my favorite TFA flavors and the "Capella Drops" seem way more potent than; say, TFA "Double RY4", etc.

Thanks,

Norman

Phew, had to dig this one up from like page 15. I didn't forget about you guys. Found a good chocolate recipe. FA's Chocolate mixed with TFA Double Dark Chocolate (not the clear one) and a drop of Tetramethyl per 5ml is a great chocolate vape. Reminds me a bit of Halo's Belgian Cocoa but it is more rich and not as dry/musty. Double your FA Cho % to get your Double Chocolate % and you're good to go. Beware though, the FA Cho is pretty potent. Example recipe -

2% FA Chocolate
4% TFA Double Dark Chocolate
.5% EM
1drop/5ml Tetramethyl (TFA flavor molecule under tobacco-->chocolate notes)

I'm calling it :BelgianCocoaDblCho for now. You say you found it? If you could find it again and post the link(right click on post number to copy link) or give the OP's name. I would like give them the credit. But thanks for finding it though!

EDIT: Assuming you are using Ethyl Maltol Liquid (10% PG) TFA.

By find I mean stumbled across through experimentation :) The FA chocolate was from ECX under 'flavor art condensed', everything else was from WL. Yes the EM is the standard solution, I didn't dilute my own crystals. But the recipe shouldn't be followed to a T.

Some may like 1% EM or more, others may like .5% or none. You could even do sucralose drops to sweeten it up, or throw in marshmallow or whipped cream for a background sweet/thickness. Maybe my tastebuds are sensitive, but I've been enjoying this at .5% chocolate and 1% double dark with .5% EM and 2% Vanillin (10% solution), or 2% Vanilla Bourbon (TFA concentrate). Vanilla helps bring out the chocolate taste.

If you take a whiff of the FA chocolate condensed, you'll know immediately it's one of the key ingredients in Belgian Cocoa. It has that dry cocoa powder smell to it and you could use that for any number of experiments. I added some to a personal NET recipe I put together and enjoyed it until the NET gunked the crap out of my coils. You could also use it with vanilla cupcake/ice cream recipes or try to put together a mint chocolate chip. Get creative :D

"The Thread that Rose from the Dead!"

I'd forgotten all about this. Thanks for the recipe!
