Okay, got a couple of more flavorings in.

TFA Vanillin - not bad. Reminds me of the French Vanilla, but a tad less dry, if that makes any sense. Pretty decent flavor.

TFA White Chocolate - :glare: I've had this flavor before, in a vendor juice... can't remember which, it was years ago. Nice and peppery. This will be in the my next run in the classys, lol. But first I'm going to add some Egg Nog into it, :D I didn't trust the smell of that one, so I didn't mix it yet. Maybe two wrongs will make a right?

TFA Double Chocolate (Dark) - If you're looking for that Tootsie roll flavor, here ya go! Really not a bad flavor, just not what I was looking for. I may use it for something I've been working on.

I know that most, if not all, chocolates will not come out tasting perfect and magical from a single flavor mix. I am just posting my personal results in an effort to find a suitable base to make what I am aiming for.

Question: Does TFA Double chocolate (Clear) taste the same as the (Dark)?

Edit: Mixed some Egg Nog into that White Chocolate... oh man, this is just awful. I mean, really? This is Egg Nog? :?:

My first semi successful chocolate is ready though I am confident it would be better if I waited and were a more patient person than I actually am. It is not as full flavored as I am looking for an my goal is more "70% cocoa" rather than Hershey's semi sweet and absolutely not milk chocolate. I tried it the first time the day after I mixed it just to see and the strongest note at the time was the bitter sweet and not to far from where I would like to end up. 4 days later the strongest note is the double dark chocolate. It does have a bit of a tootsie roll flavor by the way. Overall it just is not very strong to me honestly. Now to the what and why.

10% Double dark chocolate (TFA)- I think this needs to be turned into the minor chocolate note rather than the top one. It perhaps will mellow the Bitter sweet some.
2% Bourbon Vanilla (TFA)- I picked the bourbon because it is the most similar to the vanilla I tend to cook with so I was comfortable with it. It seems to have blended in well and is not a strong note at all.
2% Torrone (FA) - I went with this because it has several of the flavor components that I would expect to find in a good chocolate bar. If you have never tried it or the candy it is named after, its a nougat flavor with perhaps a hint of nuts, honey and a breath of citrus. It is a sort of warm soft, sweetish flavor.
1% Toffee (TFA)- I figured this would be a nice mellow note.
2% Bitter Sweet (TFA)- I think next time I am going to swap this and the dd chocolate for a couple of reasons. My notes say this one can be used at a higher percentage and I really liked it when I tried it after 24 hours.
1% Espresso (TFA)- I almost always throw a little coffee in when I make anything with chocolate because it brings out the flavor for me.

Next time I'll swap the bitter sweet and the dd chocolate and see how that goes. I may also bring up the espresso maybe .5% as well as the torrone. I know that the original of this recipe is not as strongly flavored as I am wanting.

I am finding that I am enjoying this:

5% TFA Double Chocolate Dark
2.5% CAP Sweet Strawberry
2.5% TFA Premixed Vanillin (originally mixed at 2.5%)
1.5% CAP Hot Cocoa
4% EM

Still got that Tootsie roll taste, so, same as you Southern, I plan on remixing this once it's finished with less of the Dark. The cocoa offsets it a tad, giving it a fuller, fluffy feel. The strawberry is always exquisite, and the Vanillin + EM add a smooth, sweet finish.

Thanks to all of you for your pursuit! I've been reading it all with much interest and will soon be purchasing some TFA and CAP flavorings!

I haven't read the whole thread on this chocolate dilemma, but here's an idea I have, which I plan on trying. When I bartended I used to make a shot called "chocolate cake". The ingredients were Frangelico (hazelnut), lemon flavored vodka, with a sugared lemon wedge. Tasted JUST like chocolate cake. I'm going to try adding a smidge of hazelnut and a bit of lemon juice.

My last recipe is just way over complicated I think. I'm pretty sure I can cut out a couple of things if I bump up some others. On the other hand I had the boys try it tonight and they though it was pretty chocolaty so I am at least on the right track.

7% bittersweet chocolate
8% double chocolate dark -yes I know it tastes like tootsie rolls but the bitter sweet seems to balance that out while it smooths the bitter sweet choc
3% vanilla bourbon
3% torrone (FA) - I think next time I will go 4 percent on this and cut the amaretto
3% english toffee- I'd be very tempted to go 4% on this because it is a bit buttery and then could cut the whip cream
1% expresso
2% whip cream -thinking of cutting this in favor of the toffee
1% amaretto- Didn't do much for it I don't think so I'll cut it in favor of a higher torrone percent
3% em- didn't seem to sweeten it too much and the overall vape is still pretty "dry"
1 drop smooth
2 drops apple cider vinegar per 5ml

Flavor wise its getting there but I still find the vape very dry feeling. Not sure how to get around that just yet. Any ideas?

I am thinking sweetner also. Have you tried a drop or two of cinnomon?
