It's going to take quite awhile to perfect!!! This is a huge challenge!!!!

I hear that, and know exactly what you mean! I guess I was thinking one can dream right? Really though, once you find the right ingredients you like I bet it comes through for you fairly quick.

I wish you the best of luck, and much much speed on your mission! :) :thumb:

Sorry Finally, I don't post my recipes as I've seen scum vendors steal them and sell them as their own creation. PM me though an address, I'll make some up for you. Sheez I've gone through about 40mls of it this last 3 weeks.

My favorite chocolate vape was an accident. I tried Capella Double Chocolate at 15% by itself, and it was kind of flat tasting, but I liked the aroma. I just set that one aside for a while. I also made a batch of Capella Horchata at 5%, and it felt dry with a terrible aftertaste. Figured a little sweetness might help, so I added 3% FA Honey (I was totally new to this and didn't order EM, so I tried what I had). It was better, but not great. Instead of wasting both bottles, I figured I'd give it one last shot before tossing them and mixed the two recipes 50/50 and put it in a hot water bath to steep.

If you've ever had Dove chocolates, that's exactly what this stuff tastes like. It has this lovely, smooth, wet taste when you draw, great throat hit, and very good vapor with 80% PG, 20% VG. What really stood out to me was that I could taste it from the time I drew the vapor into my mouth, as well as the exhale, unlike other chocolates I've tried that just gives the aroma upon exhale. But do keep in mind that taste is subjective. This has been my daily vape for a couple of months, and I'm lucky to have found it so quickly! Best of luck to you!

I don't have any Capella's so I was wondering how TFA Dbl Cho, Clear or Dark ( or maybe FA's Choc. ) would compare in strength? Same question for the Horchata .

According to TFA the Double Dark Chocolate should taste a little better than the Double Clear, start @ 0.5-1% the Double Clear has been overpowering everything so far at 1%

Thanks! Wow, TFA @ 1%, Capella's @ 15%, thats a significant difference! That might also be why I have had such a hard time with DBL Cho( dark & clear ). I Usually start my TFA testing @ 5%, a little lower with FA's .

Another dream flavor for the mix! I'll have to pick up some Honey first, thank you so much for the recipe!!

Capella CFB 5%, Capella vanilla cupcake 10% - the chocolate fudge brownie seems to be perfect around 5 - 6% gives a nice milk chocolate taste but bystanders won't enjoy being around you while vaping it. Bavarian cream or vanilla custard will give it a creamier less cake like taste instead of the vanilla cupcake.

Oh man! Everyone leaves the room when I fire Cap's Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Most say it smells like old sweaty gym socks that have just gotten wet again. Why is this?

I just sat and read the whole thread - pointed here by another thread in search of. well, chocolate. I'm not a DIYer but have noticed that a lot of folks have experienced a dry feeling from the chocolate flavors.

I don't know if there are flavoring differences or it's a vendor mix, but in the creams,
whipped cream as a juice to me if fluffy feel.. not dry.. not wet but full
bavarian cream has just a hint of a spice (attitude)and dryish -
but the sweet cream flavor juice is wet.. like the milk in the bottom of a cereal bowl

sucralose aka spenda to me is very drying as a sweetener.. could be something there too.

jmho but part of the charm of chocolate is it's feel / texture. I have seen a flavoring called meringue .. I think at FA (Italy) that might be a texture enhancer..

I hope that's helpful to someone

hey tdtyler I was wondering about that same thing! My family hates when I vape CFB and most other types of chocolate, even after I switch flavors they say the smell lingers on my clothes and skin. I'm interested in knowing why they give off that gym sock smell as well (not that it will ever make me stop vaping chocolate types :vapor:)

Well, I'm now forced to leave the building for the great outdoors. It's a good vape, but no one else will touch it. I was hoping to get a whiff of what they smell by having someone else vape it. No takers. It's a mystery to me. I'd sure like to know what's causing the foulness.

'Hope this'll help somebody --

--Chocolate must have vanilla (I prefer vanillin crystals melted into VG or VG/PGA) .5%-1% minimum
--Chocolate must have salt (our 'base' is 100% VG/nic, diluted at 20% consisting of: 9% DW; 2% PGA; and 9% sterile saline solution (.9%). We always add an extra .5% - 1% saline solution when working with chocolates
--So far, our "go to" chocolate is Cocoa Chocolate SC from Vapingzone (at low percentages it does taste like creamy hot chocolate/milk chocolate, but to us, at higher percentages it gets "deeper" and maybe even a bit bitter on the exhale). TFA's double chocolates work, too (but I don't use them for primarily chocolate vapes).
--EM? Chocolate flavored cotton candy or burnt sugar? 'have to pass there

We loveLoveLOVE the SC Cocoa Chocolate with TFA Mint Candy - YUM (no certain percentages, we change it up depending on our mood).

Wow, I just reread what I posted above...I did NOT mean to come off as Miss-Chocolate-Know-It-All! :( We've only been DIYing a couple of months, and lucked out on the VZ SC Cocoa Chocolate (looking for something to mix in no-nic juice for someone else).

I've always gravitated to baking, so when I saw this (from this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/268760-diy-master-techniques-flavor-add-ons-em-vw-bw-mts-acv-ect-2.html )

When a mix seems perfect except it seems to be "just missing something" it is the salt. My experience has been the opposite of your assumptions about NaCl. This can be purchased at any medical supply or pharmacy and I use generally a dropper 5mls for bakery/sweets and higher for choc coveed petzels or other salt needed mixes. Pie crust is not pie crust without salt IMHO.

ETA: NaCl is in every respiratory treatment and Ihave never seen residue on the nebulizer tubing or the ventimasks either. That seems to give an answer about whether it is safe for inhalation.

...it just made all kinds of sense to us, so we started messing around with it and found it was such a great 'enhancer additive' that we decided to use it in everything - and we add a bit extra with chocolates.

Vape ON!
