And after these mods go back i will be closing this thread!!!!!

You will have to find someone else to trash because he takes his time and want only the best work for next to nothing cost

I didn't intend any disrespect chopper, I'm just getting a little antsy in anticipation of getting my mods back.

I agree.

There's 2 sides to this.

1. Chopper is not "addicted" to this or so obsessed that this forum or the "side work" he has lined up takes #1 priority. This is completely understandable and acceptable. He has a family and I see it daily when my vape time takes away from my family or work the repercussions that come about. He's basically doing us a favor for doing this at the prices he is. I've had things powder coated previously and he isn't tens of dollars cheaper, he's $100's cheaper. That being said if it takes time (read- longer than you would like) it should be acceptable to those who understand he has other priorities that put the food on his table and family. Those of you that don't think it's acceptable either do not have a family, don't understand what other priorities other than vaping are, or are just idiots who don't care.

2. This is all perception. Some who see this post under suppliers and see a service being offered may think this is 100% a full time business. There is pricing on services, what services are offered and how to obtain those services In that regard there is a "reasonable" amount of time a service should be rendered. It would be ridiculous for a mechanic to take a week to change the oil on a car...ect. So to some the perception is that they will send their units (yes I said unit) in and have a quick turnaround.

The truth is that as long as chopper wants to continue to do us the favor of polishing, powder coating, and other things to our devices and as long as expectations are set there should be no problems.

I messages chopper over a week ago regarding some work. I have not heard back. That is perfectly ok with me. It is not life or death that I get my provari powder coated NOW! And if/when I do send it to him (or deliver - only 2hrs away) he will be able to keep it until its done. I have backups and would rather it take 3 months to come out perfect than to be rushed in 1 week. This man may have a demanding job, a family that requires attention (which one doesn't?) and a LIFE outside of the fantasy land of ecf. As long as he's doing me the favor of making my stuff look awesome and at amazing prices - I can surely do him the favor of spending Time taking care of his responsibilities that actually matter to him.

It all boils down to idiots, perception, him doing us a favor, and respect.

If you can't respect the fact that this is a hobby and he does not live for ecf than you should take your equipment and complaints elsewhere.

To chopper - don't quit on those of us who understand and appreciate you for what you do.

To those with an issue - take your pv's and shove em. Don't ruin it for the rest of us who actually understand.

I don't usually chime in on stuff like this but I felt the need to this time.

Yeah, I sent him my Apex Alpha UltraMax for powdercoating, black chrome provari for polishing (though he agreed to media blast it instead b/c of how long it's taken) and a GGTS telescope for polishing on March 6th.

Wow, you got some real nice mods coming back to you. Want to see some pics of them eventually.

Hey Washvap,
I am sorry to hear you haven't received your Grand :(

Hey Hola! Thanks, I miss it dearly but, I think it will be worth the wait.

And after these mods go back i will be closing this thread!!!!!

Only asked for updates every once and awhile. In my mind, I just don't understand how that would be considered "trashing". Anyways, if your really taking it that way then I want to apologize. That wasn't my intention.

Hey, Chops! Just wanted to chime in and let you know that I really hope you continue to do your amazing work. I realize that this is just a side gig for you. Work and family definitely come first. Keep at it as long as it's fun for you in the larger sense. There will always be challenges as folks can get pretty passionate about their PV's... Most of us have kicked cigarettes in the not so distant past! All we can see are the posts in the forum, we don't have visibility to the PM's, emails etc that you are getting.

You do a great service for the community and I hope the work stays fun so we can all benefit from your talent.

Thanks Chop

I gotta start reading these threads a little more often again. Chop's the man, not sure what set him off, it had to be more than this thread. Either way, its been put right already by those before me. So sit back, relax and smile knowing you will have your baby back when it is ready and it will look better then you ever imagined, I assure you.

:)

Has he cooled off yet? I hope so, he does not have a mod of mine, but I know he has lots of fans, so I hope he can shake it off, and keep helping ppl and let the art do the talking. I mean seriously, doesnt iit take a long time to get a glv, or a grip, or any of the other highly sought after mods? Being u unique and one of a kind takes time. If u don't get that, just go by some nail decals and keep moving, don't ruin it for those who are patient and don't mind the wait.

Tuesday will mark 3 months since I mailed out my Apex and Provari to chopper. I'm not going to btch and complain, but I'm ......, and I have the right to be at this point. I was told that there'd be a 2 week turn around time, and with that being said, I would have been fine waiting as long as I had if chopper had sent me a photo update or at the VERY LEAST respond to my PMs. I just want my mods back, and frankly, a portion of my money. Before any fanboys jump in to defend chopper, consider how you'd feel if you payed $75 to send off $400 worth of PVs to have refinished and the retailer didn't lift a finger to try and communicate with you about their progress?
